Glad to see you back Squirrel!:) Oh, and the show you're thinking of is called "The Beverly Hillbillies" The main character in Jed Clampett and he lives in California with his mother (Granny), his daughter Ellie May, and nephew Jethro Bodeen. The show was aired in the 1960s and was in color in later seasons.
I live in Flagstaff, this game cut pretty much a huge road from the game when you enter the city. But nice to see the train-station for a brief second at 34:44. The day market at 36:00 is probably supposed to emulate the Downtown center. Lol pretty dope!
As someone who lives in Arizona, I can say that 25mph speed limits are not everywhere like they are in this game. You find 25 limits in the residential areas or around schools, most major city roads are 35-45mph.
Absolutely cannot believe I just heard someone talk about the Beverly Hillbillies. A legendary show for sure, I still call in-ground pools 'cement ponds' from time to time since watching that growing up
Hey Squirrel, the movie was "The Beverly Hillbilly's" with Jed Clampett, Jethro, Granny and Ellie Mae. Jed hit Black Gold, Texas T or OIL. That was a good comedy show back in the day.
Rode a bicycle as my sole way of getting around for several years, and sprung for a speedometer on it. My cruising speed was around 12-15 mph, but I did manage to hit 26 a time or two, but couldn't maintain it for longer than about 5 minutes.
squirrel an small advice, do a 180 reverse come back the way you came and back up always to your left, it saves alot of trouble, and it how its done in 90% of cases irl.
Hi Paul. Great vid as always. 40G on the airport sign is the FAA airport ID. Many smaller airports/airfields in the US have 3 letter/number code. Check it out the next time you fly around US in flightsim.
fyi paul, when setting your wing mirrors, 1/3 of the mirror should be showing the side of the truck. This is what I was taught when I did my car and bus lessons. I enjoy watching all your vids.
There's a refinery in Phoenix with a lovely entrance. A gate that's slightly larger than a 2 lane and by slightly I mean extra 2 inch es on eavh side with a refinery pipe so it can't be larger. I got my truck stuck twice trying to get in.
The slip road lengths are pretty prototypical for the States from what I remember. Americans tend to stop and give way at the bottom in many places, I remember I'd hold back when I did the coast to coast road trip 8 years ago and get a run up when it was clear and merge UK style, felt safer; their approach may be different now.
In the US in most places they're supposed to give you advance warning when there's a speed limit drop of 10mph or more. You'll see a sign "Reduced Speed Ahead." I think it's understood also that if you suddenly see 70mph to 30mph there is some grace that cops will give you, but obviously the AI of this game is very literal and doesn't take that into account. Tickets should be a probability based on amount exceeded, distance beyond the sign itself, position of police officer, etc.
the speed limit is 25 mph in residential but where i live in arizona when you leave it goes up to 35-45 mph and the only green in arizona is up north because thats where it rains and snows and its going to be awesome because i getting american truck on thursday so i can compare the things from the game and real life
squirrel there is a mod called route advisor, and with that you can turn off the satnav map and you can choose to see the messages in the middel of the screen or somewhere else
I was reading on SCS's Facebook page that they are going to rescale the maps so they are a little more representative to the real world. It won't be 1:1, but might be 1:24
Beacons would be pretty rare in the US. I can't think of the last time I remember seeing one on a truck, even for an oversized load. Some states do require escort vehicles for oversized loads but most just require flags and signs on the load marking them as oversized.
Those on ramps are actually pretty accurate for American roads. Ya pretty much have to gun it while taking some quick glances and look at the highway before you need to merge. However people still don’t give a shit if you signal or not. Around Chicago they tend to gun it by if you do turn on a signal lol
so Shame on SCS for not adding Prescott or Williams to the Arizona map but they did manage to get Flagstaff and the route to Page looking just about right...roughly so ehhh we will have to see what the rest of the map looks like
Nice, a new vid ! Watched some of your Twitch vids, which are entertaining, i will recommend. I'm a new ATS/ETS addict, thanks to you :)) You're a good guy to listen to and watch Paul. No madness, no screaming. Wisdom surely comes with age :))
Those speed limits in Az are wrong. It’s 35 mph not 25 on main roads and 25 inside residential neighborhoods. Sometimes in town speed limit can get up to 45 mph. No worries Squirrel this should be an extremely easy fix.
Hi Squrrel, the MHA pro map isn''t updated to 1.3 yet but the Meuscan map is but for u to get it to work u need to have the updated version of coast to coast. Im reluctant in putting in the coast to coast because in ealier versions of that map its mainly all sand
22:20 - 22:56 lol "the right pixel" XD 27:48 - 28:30 "so yeah if you look around you can see it's still quite sort of, you know, deserty." *10 - 15 seconds later* "..the AI still trolls you" XD 35:36 - 35:48 at first thought you were talking about the game XD
the only way to play mexuscan is using it with coast to coast because the mexuscan guy removed his usa part of the map and this is why you need coast to coast. Coast to coast has a city in every states +scenery so its not that bad :]
I really don't care about map add-ons unless they're really good, like Promods. In ATS they're still not up to quality, it's just more roads to drive on, so I don't think it's worth messing about with those mods at the moment in ATS. But I guess some people are interested in Las Vegas look-a-like Edmonton and stuff.
38:10 American trucks don't have rev markers because US truck drivers are real men and can hear the revs and know when to shift at the best rev also we don't care about fuel economy that much lol love the video's try shifting by ear without looking at the rev counter in your next video.
believe it or not Flagstaff in the months of October-March it can snow because it is 6000 feet above sealevel. and it can even get below zero in feirenhieght
You need to download a mod where the cars go slow and things like that because it's not as fun when you drive with nothing in front of you going slow. I want to see some over taking and some risky moves because it sometimes can get a little predictable on how the video is going to be, but seriously you talking is great I love your ETS2 and ATS videos. Keep up the good work!!
Hello +Squirrel, I think it might be a good idea if your Mod Spreadsheet had an update. Most of those mods now do not work on current versions of the Euro Truck Sim game. For instance the Modified Peterbilt and the Beacon pack. Thanks again for the good vid!
The kind of extension I want is something completely illogical, like delivering to Xen, where you can see Gordon Freeman jumping around in the background, or something else equally bizarre. x3
They REALLY should associate with Google, for Google Maps and Google Earth, edit the roads, as well as "simulate" them, and then release that stuff as DLC, and you have the whole United States, just like that.
hi squirrel I've been watching u for a long since u had 30,000 now look at your chanel I haven't watched ur vids for a long I'm now start going to watch them
Is it even allowed to drop the speed that drastically? Like, in EU we got a law which says that the speed is only allowed to drop in 20 km/h steps with space in between them defined by the road rank (district, national, freeway). For example, if a speed limit on a 120km/h freeway has to drop to 60 because of road works, it would go 100, 250m later 80 and then 250m later 60, where the limit itself would apply 250m from that sign. How is that in the USA, can anyone explain? Is SCS actually doing it right?
It's usually fairly similar, with an addition that 'Reduced speed ahead' signs are frequently posted ahead of speed drops on fast roads and highways, and roadworks being marked as much as two miles ahead. ATS isn't doing these things partly because of map compression, and partly because of just not thinking of it.
I kinda thought that but wasn't real sure. I figured everything that was illuminated in neon green such as the cross, gas can, etc you had an option to do something. Thank you very much for your help.
Sorry to bother you but maybe you can shed some light on this. I went to download the sound fix pack for ATS that Squirrel spoke of with WINZIP but it keeps encountering a problem and will not open it. Do you have to use winrar or win 7 to open some of these files. Thanks flat4buggy
I found the penalties waaaaay to high (not realistich if you ask me) so I modded them to match ETS more closley. Switching off went to far for me so I had to find a way in the middle.
You were thinking of The Beverly Hillbillies. Great show. I've caught it on a few times over the years while growing up. Glad we have reruns of old classics. Never was fond of the movie that came out a number of years back...was too modern and too stupid.
Squirrel instead of pulling in to a parking place when you are at a rest stop back into it so you can just pull out my Aunt and Uncle were OTR truck drivers here in the states and they watched one of you ATS videos and asked me to pass that little hint to you
Glad to see you back Squirrel!:)

Valle Airport 40G, 4-0-G, or Four Zero Golf, is the Federal Aviation Administration 3 digit identifier for Valle Airport, near the Grand Canyon.
Regular, non residential, surface streets in AZ are usually 45mph.
I crave commercially in AZ and residential across the majority of the state is 45. Northern AZ has a lot of 35, but Phoenix is primarily 45.
Absolutely cannot believe I just heard someone talk about the Beverly Hillbillies. A legendary show for sure, I still call in-ground pools 'cement ponds' from time to time since watching that growing up
Finely 3weeks with out truck sim was boring glad your back to it
love how you end your trucking vids with the horn and "Happy trucking".
Hey Squirrel, the movie was "The Beverly Hillbilly's" with Jed Clampett, Jethro, Granny and Ellie Mae. Jed hit Black Gold, Texas T or OIL. That was a good comedy show back in the day.

Hey Squirrel, the 40G at the end of the Valle Airport sign is the FAA LID (Local Identifier), basically the equivalent of the ICAO code!!
There's a refinery in Phoenix with a lovely entrance. A gate that's slightly larger than a 2 lane and by slightly I mean extra 2 inch es on eavh side with a refinery pipe so it can't be larger. I got my truck stuck twice trying to get in.
It was the Beverly Hillbillies that were mentioned.
Yep...the good old shows
The slip road lengths are pretty prototypical for the States from what I remember. Another beautifully rendered map extension by SCS. I think they might have tweaked the clock, too. Not so many half hour stops at red lights!
Your Rig looks like it needs a Wash! Cheers to the great series you've posted here.
Hey Squirrel glad you back making videos, miss ya. I have been traveling all over Arizona in the game, love it . Very fun.
In the US in most places they're supposed to give you advance warning when there's a speed limit drop of 10mph or more. You'll see a sign "Reduced Speed Ahead." He Paul, did you know that you can use the back window when blind-side backing? Try it!
the speed limit is 25 mph in residential but where i live in arizona when you leave it goes up to 35-45 mph and the only green in arizona is up north because thats where it rains and snows and its going to be awesome because i getting american truck on thursday so i can compare the things from the game and real life
Great Series! I've enjoyed it so I Subbed and Liked. Beverly Hillbillies was the show. Beverly Hills, .ca that is!
squirrel there is a mod called route advisor, and with that you can turn off the satnav map and you can choose to see the messages in the middel of the screen or somewhere else
Great to see ya back at it with ATS Squirrel!!!!

The show was called Beverly Hillbillies. It was about a family from Oklahoma (I think) who had to move to Beverly Hills.
northern az is mostly forests on the west and central, and a lot of desert on the east side.
In a day cab you can look out your back window, makes it easier
glad that you´re back with the series.
lol yea!!
The Arizona DLC is so Beautiful, (dry), but nice!
Those on ramps are actually pretty accurate for American roads. Ya pretty much have to gun it while taking some quick glances and look at the highway before you need to merge. When are the dogey builders coming back?
Yeah I've been waiting for it to come back
Thanks for the upload Squirel ive been watching for a few years.. Still putting out good content!
Will SCS give the option of tandem drivers when you have a sleeper cab in the fleet?
Those speed limits in Az are wrong. It’s 35 mph not 25 on main roads and 25 inside residential neighborhoods. Sometimes in town speed limit can get up to 45 mph. No worries Squirrel this should be an extremely easy fix.

22:20 - 22:56 lol "the right pixel" XD

ATS IS FINALLY BACK AFTER A FEW YEARS
squirrel, i'm just curious when you're going to finish the driver training school series?
38:10 American trucks don't have rev markers because US truck drivers are real men and can hear the revs and know when to shift at the best rev also we don't care about fuel economy that much lol love the video's try shifting by ear without looking at the rev counter in your next video.
Beverley Hillbillies - Jed Clampett (playe by Buddy Ebsen)
believe it or not Flagstaff in the months of October-March it can snow because it is 6000 feet above sealevel. and it can even get below zero in feirenhieght
The Beverley Hillbillys. They might have been from near Hull. 😁
kingman Arizona is a mining town. so ya there is some quarrying going on there.
You need to download a mod where the cars go slow and things like that because it's not as fun when you drive with nothing in front of you going slow. Can't wait for Euro Trucking Diaries!!!
5:00 do you mean "Hillbillies of Beverly Hills"?
Enjoying the series Squirrel
Congrats on 443k!
Also, when is TMCN making a return? My suggestion is to play X-Plane/P3D or Train Sim along TMCN since you're starting a ETS 2 series as well :)
Hello +Squirrel, I think it might be a good idea if your Mod Spreadsheet had an update. Most of those mods now do not work on current versions of the Euro Truck Sim game. For instance the Modified Peterbilt and the Beacon pack. Thanks again for the good vid!
The kind of extension I want is something completely illogical, like delivering to Xen, where you can see Gordon Freeman jumping around in the background, or something else equally bizarre. x3
40G is the IACO ID for Valle Airport
I've been trying to "track" down this easter egg you spoke of.
Am I close?
just got off the game as you uploaded, only using a g27 but it's a great experience, love you vids by the way and bring more truck sim games please.
You could also deliver to Gas Stations. I think its Propane you need to deliver.
They REALLY should associate with Google, for Google Maps and Google Earth, edit the roads, as well as "simulate" them, and then release that stuff as DLC, and you have the whole United States, just like that.
You need a mod that can plot the position of all police cars, kind of like a radar.
Mega lol moment at the end of the vid, in the gallon factory it was a 65 mph limit XD
I think delivering a boat it multiple boats to marina might be cool.
hi squirrel I've been watching u for a long since u had 30,000 now look at your chanel I haven't watched ur vids for a long I'm now start going to watch them

You should do a wheel cam
Jethro Clampett(Jed) is the character you thinking of Paul from The Beverley Hillbillies
Is your scaling 400%? if it is your PC is a beast
Don't worry about your Hayfever, I get badly as well and I feel sorry for you.
At 35:10, what does the green neon cross stand for?
Green crosses are typically found on pharmacies in Europe.
I kinda thought that but wasn't real sure. I figured everything that was illuminated in neon green such as the cross, gas can, etc you had an option to do something. Thank you very much for your help.
66lwmorgan No problem.
66lwmorgan I used winrar.
The speed limits should be higher, there are not any major roads in Arizona that have that low of a limit. 35/40 would be more appropriate.
can you please put you hazers on when you are going under the speed limit when you can't speed up
I found the penalties waaaaay to high (not realistich if you ask me) so I modded them to match ETS more closley. Switching off went to far for me so I had to find a way in the middle.

Squirrel you're talking of the Beverly hillbillies old show.
Hi squirrel great vid are you going to get the new eaton fuller gear stick for you Logitech shifter because it is easier with the set up that you use
hey squrrel can you make a video on how to drive manual. i cant seem to find any videos showing you how and i would like to challenge myself.
When will u buy a new truck like a sleeper cab rather than this day cab?
I think that you should do one week ets and the other ats
Squirrel can you pleas do some train simulation
Two months now since your last OMSI video. I think we're due for another one soon. What do you think??
The house from psycho at 13:46 on the left.
39:28
Giant orange man!
Who else would rather wait for the better version of ets2 before he starts or want it now
what like to is a way to hook your air lines up at pic up and at your drop off also so let us know what you thank keep up the good vid s
instead of improving on ramps they could program AI to get into the other lane like law states in the U.S
11:20
we don't need something as fundamental as beacons, Paul. We've got wheel nut DLC...
hahaha, SCS are laughable.
don't install c2c or additional maps. it looks awful
"Looks awful."
Use things before commenting on them.
+blueshift I did. its my opinion bud
rekt
Were you using your SKRS shifter in this video Squirrel?
Squirrel instead of pulling in to a parking place when you are at a rest stop back into it so you can just pull out my Aunt and Uncle were OTR truck drivers here in the states and they watched one of you ATS videos and asked me to pass that little hint to you
Is there any reason you don't use the exhaust brake/retarder? It's common to use this in real life plus it makes a cool noise!
These trucks don't have retarders and he isn't used to Jake brakes.
hay i like to also tell you im a retired american truck driver so ithank you could control the air lines with your mouse maybe so what do you thank
