Writing down Ed's routine so it's handy: 10 chin-ups (sub with Australian pull-ups if you can't finish) with palms inward 10 dips (looks like it's to work triceps, not chest) 10 reverse crunches 10 squats with calf raises at top (go on tiptoe) Max pushups 30 seconds of jumping jacks 30 seconds of mountain climbers Thanks, Ed!
Nice Video clip! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would love your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Mackorny Amazing penis Blueprint (do a search on google)? It is a smashing one off guide for getting a bigger penis minus the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate at very last got cool results with it.
Any beginner can do all of these exercises. If you cannot do pull ups he gave you a alternative. If you cannot do dips then use your legs to help you do the dips. The better you get the less you use your legs. Can't do a regular push up then do push ups from your knees
Ed, This is a fantastic workout and tutorial and I plan on incorporating it into my workout. One thing you may want to note, for clarity, is that when doing the squat you should be pushing from the heel. I think that some people, knowing they will be moving right into a calf raise, will be lifting up with their weight on the front of their feet. I can't wait to try this workout tonight. Keep putting out great information!
......I'm a 64 yrs old Vietnam Marine vet with multiple injuries from the war and never thought i'd be able to get back into shape ever again. Your vids comes through my E-mail almost daily... at this point I'm able to do 15 each of those you showed on this vid...... every time i see your vids it reminds me to do them........thanks for all the encouragement son!!!
When doing the squat-to-toe raises I had an issue with keeping balance and keeping my chest up, so I settled for pressing my palms together and holding them in a prayer position against my chest. I found it helped me feel like I wasn't about to fall over when making the transition to the toe raise.
Exactly, and were working on new advanced routines.moves as well. This all takes times to put all these videos together. Were working hard at it. Peace #barstarzz
Finally, a group of calisthenics experts doing tutorials and how-to routines instead of just doing what I call "show off" vids. We've seen more than our share of "show off" vids. It's time to share the knowledge on how to get strong and fit like you guys. And you're doing a great deed to the community by posting tutorials for any and all to learn from. I'm gonna follow this routine today and comment later on.
1:17 Personally for me, if you put your hands under your butt while doing leg raises or crunches - it makes that exercise lot more easy (about 70% easier). So I recommend to keep your hands(palms) to your side to get most out of that exercise.
I like this routine. It is alot like what i did to get started. I got deeper into the pushups though. Diamonds, incline, decline, all that. Good video guys.
Hey guys awsome vids, very proffsinal ( sorry cant spell ). Just wanted to say thanks for the hard work you guys put in these vids. I stumbled on your channel a few days ago and I am liking them all and sharing with everyone I know. PEACE!
Mark Lauren's You are Your Own Gym is an excellent guide to bodyweight training & he explains pretty well how to make workouts harder & easier. When I started I had to hang my ass off a chair to do a bodyweight row b/c I was so weak & now I am almost able to do a straight legged row. Creativity, patience & persistence r key. I elevate my hands to do pushups & I'm slowly decreasing elevation. One day I will put my feet up to make it harder when I'm strong enough. Good luck hope this helps
EXACTLY! I'm only 17 but I've become extremely interested in becoming fit and lifting. I'm tired of wasting my time watching videos with nothing but talk. Barstars is pretty legit. These guys are fit and doing it without a gym, supplements, or a "sixpackshortcut" video like in the sidebar...
Hello , your films are awesome !! can you do some stabilization and plank trainings ? it would be awesome becouse core is very important to do all that stuff !
Nice routine. Could you make a routine for more advanced people? For example i was going to the gym for 3 months and i want to start working out in the street like you guys. Thanks.
I've been working out solo for about six months doing a routine similar to this, just guessing that maybe I was doing something right. Turns out I am. Thanks Ed!
Hello Barstarzz !! A year ago I could not even do the one pull up, and when I made a couple, I started Armstrong's program and work it up to date in order to do 10 pull ups on each grip. And I did .. Now I can even do 3-4 muscle ups. So I wonder whether I should stay on the Armstrong program or to start with a routine that you recommend, for example, depending on the levels? What do you think, what level i am,what should i do? Thanks... Sry for bad English
What would you guys recommend for gaining muscle? Should it be high volume of sets with reps of 8-12 per set of dips pullups etc. I am a big follower of Hannibal For King and in Ed's interview he says he counts reps but not sets. I am going for mass like him, so what would you recommend? p.s. I can already do 20 strict pull-ups, 30 dips, 50 pushups. Thanks in advance for your reply and keep doing what you're doing!
4th day I've been working out at the jungle! Pullups and pushups are my hardest. I've had back pain due to sciatica pain so those routines have to be scaled down but I do them nonetheless. Thanks for this.
How long should a beginner do this till they're ready for something different? I think I'm gonna start trying to do these work outs. Keep up the good work! Thx for sharing.
I said it is easier - not cheating. And if you dont help with stability - the core does the stability by itself and becomes much more stronger. I do the crunches (frog-kicks) without touching the floor with my hands - just a core strength.
Great routine. For some beginners might be a bit hard. When you stick to it, the results are amazing. When you work on your reps up, lets say 20 reps in 5 sets it is great workout for solid intermediate. It builds strength and muscle first, later endurance and nice definition. Very nice routine for sure.
Just did this routine as quick as I could and it nearly took me out. How often do you recommend that we do it? I'd love to do it 5 days/week if possible!
MuffinMan I thought the same, and my heart almost exploded, and got dizzy almost i fainted... I have 210lbs and am pretty strong and good at bodybuiilding,.
If i do this routine once a day will it help me beable to do more pull ups and push ups and stuff like that and if so would i need to eat healthy for this to effect me?

If you cant do dips, then do as many as you can or substitute with bench dips. There is a substitute for chin ups in the video.
This is a simple, solid workout. No fancy equipment or expensive gym memberships. Nice work guys.

was doing this routine hour ago... Only difference was: I did 5 dips instead of 10....Thanks alot guys, you are great inspiration to me :).
I like this routine. It is alot like what i did to get started. I got deeper into the pushups though. Diamonds, incline, decline, all that. Good video guys.
Thank you Ed and all the Barstarzz for all the help and wisdom!

Ed thanks for opening the world of street work out all those years ago, shout out to king also!
Love the vids
I actually like this stuff. I favorite it & keep it as a playlist for my routines. We all had to start somewhere. Relax.
Brilliant !

Very nice routine for sure.
As a (total) beginner, should i perform this routine every day? Or have a day of rest in between?
Just did this routine as quick as I could and it nearly took me out. How often do you recommend that we do it? I'd love to do it 5 days/week if possible!

Can someone help me with what he says from 2:50. "........ 3 sets." Thanks in advance
Cool video. Will be my post-workout calisthenics routine
This calisthenics routine is not hard. I chose a beginner routine for a reason
MuffinMan I thought the same, and my heart almost exploded, and got dizzy almost i fainted... I have 210lbs and am pretty strong and good at bodybuiilding,.
Yes it will help you do more pull/push/chin ups in the future. And yes, if you want to get the most out of any workout you need to eat healthy
Very explicative and clear. The worst part is doing the workout ;-). Please keep posting more workouts. Thanks
Nice work ❤
Muy buen video de instrucción, pero no podrian por favor poner substitulos en español!! :)
If i do this routine once a day will it help me beable to do more pull ups and push ups and stuff like that and if so would i need to eat healthy for this to effect me?
For how long do you recommend doing this until you can get to advanced? For how many months or weeks? and how often in a week...maybe everyday :)
Thanks for the response. :)
will you do a video for medium or advanced? :)
How can this be a beginner routine...? I can barely do 3-4 pull-ups and around 15-20 push-ups max... I just started.
is this ment to be a daily routine? or how should the schedule be for it?
Subscribed.
@breetbree either one will work as long as you keep the intensity high and eat at a caloric surplus!
ed do you go to the gym aswell or just bodyweight calisthenics???
Excellent for beginner
Short an sweet. Love it.
Was this shot in Brooklyn? Looks familiar.
