Ed, I've been obsessed with muscle ups for a year and have watched hundreds of damn muscle up tutorial and progression vids on youtube. All of them show form, style, etc..that a person can study the hell out of for days. But your recent vids are the BEST for progressions/ getting the required strength, stamina and explosiveness. Please post some more muscle up stuff if you can think of anything else to add..Thanks man!

Everyone gets elbow pain at first, try not to max out on muscle ups stop a little before you are burnt out. You might be overworking the muscle and depending on the tendon too much

Ed, bulked or ripped, as long as you are confident and happy with your body, you're the man. Are you feeling good? Are you feeling healthy, and powerful? (not physically powerful, but... humane powerful). Then keep it. You, Swiss and Hannibal are a great inspiration.
How can you see this? What is your definition of "in shape" Last question are you able to do the routine in this video? Cause if you do and prove its you with a shorter time then I did I will personally paypal you some money.
Just troubleshooting here... the rubber grip would actually cause more rotational friction making it more difficult , but might give you more grip to get more power on the pullup. The inside environment might be easier for you with controlled conditions. Try finding a squat rack indoors with a straight bar and try it.

Ok so I'm loving the upper body workouts; I really really want to be able to do a muscle up (it's a personal goal). BUT I've not seen much as far as leg development... I figure I'd see if there's much you guys can suggest as far as working your legs even if it's the same old "squats, lunges..." deal. Stay Strong!
just tried working out in park for pull ups, muscle ups and I got my first human flagpole for a few seconds, I experienced a lot of static shocks on the metal bars, some of them were loud with sparks, who knows I might have been electrically charged or something
I find that I need enough pullup speed in order to get the muscle ups without a kip in order to get past the transition part. The most I've ever done is 5, no resting at the top. I can however do 36 normal pullups so I really gotta work on my muscle up technique.

Ed dude,i got problem with wrists,each time when i doing dips,pull ups i feel some strange pain in them, like losing the power in my hands or something :S What exercises should i do to make them stronger ?
So, instead of being as close to 90 degrees when doing a regular pull up, say, 50-70 degrees to the back? Then as I'm about to lift my chin above the bar I go for the clap? Or once I hit the bar? Or after my chin is above?

grip is not essential, it is about how much tension and squeezing your muscles that is essential like tightening your whole body basically like people do flexing that is how. and also if you are able do it fast and controlled with tension you recruit more strength and musclefibers atleast for me.

try that workouts with little to no rest between exercises and speak between them, in cold weather and see how is your breath
I can do single handed pull ups, but I can't do a clap pull up. Never tried it except once or twice. Might try it more.

i would recommend doing all the exercises till failure, dont just do 10 and call it quits
