What you're doing right is presenting authentic Caribbean recipes in a fun yet informative and easy to follow way! I'm enjoying getting recipes for things that I've tasted but never had the courage to try until now; and now I see how easy it is to do. Thanks Chris.
With this channel, Chris, you bring to us the land of our birth and its culinary treasures no matter how far away we are from our islands. Thank you so much.
The videos are comparable to any food network channel. You help me get closer to my Caribbean cuisine which I cant get enough of. They are convenient to watch (while cooking, late at night or during the day at work). You are so pellucid with your explanations and make it comfortable to watch. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much for sharing your recipes with us. I love the way you motivate us to make the best Caribean food. I left my country for more than 45 years. I was very young and lost the track with Caribean and Surinam food in Europe. Past two years I start my FB and there is were we "meet". I was so glad. I love your food and eventhough I can not make everything I am very glad with the dumplings. As I am a pensionada now I have all the time to learn from you and enjoy. Thank you so much.
I love the fact of how you try to teach everyone new and different foods from the Caribbean. You explain step by step on what to do and how to go about making these dishes. You have a style like no other, that's why so many people want your recipes! Keep up the excellent work Chris, and one day we will see you on The Food Network Channel! Thank you for sharing!
I love the authenticity in your meals!!! It's never about how others would make it but how you make the recipe and techniques your own!!! Thank you for the years of wonderful, delish, soulful recipes!!!!
Hi, Chris, you really boost my self-esteem in the kitchen. By watching you taking your time and in detail, step by step preparing these super delicious meals, I have improved alot. I appreciate the usage of ingredients used that is available in the Caribbean markets. In my opinion you are an excellent chef and teacher....Hats off to you!
I like that your recipes are diverse and delicious. The ingredients are not hard to find. You also have a way of presenting that shows you love what you are doing (and so do I).
I love the fact that you bring those memories back about our country food and how enjoyable those recipes are. For people who will like to eat WI food and dont know or cant remember how to prepare it. They could view your site Thanks now on to start christmas preparations on that black cake which my daughter and granddaughter love so much
I love that you are featuring Caribbean foods even though you live out of the Caribbean. The fact that you can make substitutes where necessary and still come up with the Caribbean flavors is great. The variations on the foods that we know and love is good idea. It puts a modern twist to old age recipes. Thank you for promoting the Caribbean. I am proud to be a Caribbean woman .
I LOVE your recipes, the way you lay out the instructions clearly, and the way you display the ingredients before you begin to cook. It's perfect! DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING! You do a fantabulous A+ job!!
I love the food that I see prepared and done on the videos. It does not take a lot of culinary skill to make the food that you show on how to make which is nice for some people that have A hard time making meals. I have made 4 dishes from this channel and they all turned out asome. There is nothing better than trying something you never had before and trying something new. Everying is presented clear and step by step for easy meals. Thank You, Caribbeanpot Finger Lakes, NY
The videos and recipes to me are just so empowering ..easy to follow and it's like I can smell the food already lol... enough motivation to get my ingredients and get started in the kitchen. I also love that Caribbean cultures are brought together through our delicious foods...
I have tried a few of your recipes and they are very good. Most kids are picky eaters but mine are loving it. Thank you! Your site it the spot for Caribbean recipes!
This is great because food lovers don't always have time to watch cooking shows on tv. You have given us an alternative and I appreciate it. Thanks and keep on cooking!!!

I'm absoluted delighted that you are and authentic Caribbean cooker. And that you were also taught by other authentic Caribbean cookers (your aunt and other family members). I also like how organize your video from beginning to end that gives a visual or the dish your are preparing. Also I love your upbeat presentation. Keep up the good work!
I enjoy West Indian dishes and I am glad I found your channel nearly a year ago. I've made several dishes inspired by your recipes and they have all turned out wonderfully! I love the fact that you can see exactly how the food should look as you are preparing it. Keep up the great work!! :-)
As a trini away from home and living alone, I feel like I'm liming with another Trini in my kitchen when I'm watching your videos and making my dishes. Thanks a million for having such a helpful channel!
Chris I didn't know you had so many fans! That's because you is the best chef in town, keeping it real and helping us islanders get back to roots! Much respect and keep doing a great job
The thing I like about your channel is that the food is home style. Its is just the way my parents make it, my in laws make it, my grandma makes it. I can now get step by step instructions to making the foods I love.
I love your channel the fact that you are very down to earth and you explain things very simply and it's good for people who have a lot of experience or none at all
I dig what you do because it is original and authentic and just in a regular kitchen. It is inviting like you are at your familys house watching them cook
I love the format of your videos, the information you always provide about the ingredients prep and handling, and the way that you always mention when you deviate from the traditional preparation of the dishes....I also love your spirit :)
I think that you're doing a great job of re-introducing us to our "home" food. I don' think I could even remember all of these recipes to ask my mom. However the memories return when I see the videos. . . Thank you
Hey Chris. The thing about your channel is that one can learn so much on how to cook. Your explanation is very simple and watching the video while you explain is the best. So keep up the good work. I personally can now cook so many caribbean dishes which I thought was so difficult that its amazing.
PART 2) Your presentation is great, you exude happiness and kindness and a love of what you’re doing! I’ve learned through your video’s that you learned to cook from your Father, Grandmother and Auntie. In my opinion that proves you have a family talent and you have embraced it. It would be nice to see after every episode your friends, family and yourself take a bite of those wonderful creations you make. Show us how good they taste! If you had your own cookbook I would buy it.
I love looking at your videos because you show the world what true Caribbean cooking is all about. You make things simple for everyone to understand and I believe everyone appreciates you for that. Your personality also encourages me to look at all your videos, hopefully the "right" people sees your videos and hopefully one day we will be looking at you on Food Network
Hi Chris, I really enjoy watching your videos and reading your receipes on carribbean cooking. Its really innovative with all the little extras that you add into the cooking , like the salt in the water, the baking powder and spice in the flour. I have learnt so much from you. I live in the carribbean, trinidad to be specific and you are the only online person who teaches carribean cooking the authentic way and also gives the original instructions. Keep up the good work.
I'm a Trini living in Oklahoma city and I am very rusty when it comes to cooking and watching your videos helps me a lot when it comes to cooking Trini dishes for my husband. Love ❤your channel, and keep the videos coming.
I love that you have recipies from back home, it encourages me to keep learning more about my culture and sharing the food I grew up eating with my friends and younger family members.
Chris, you are quite engaging and make it easy to follow along with your recipes. It nice to see some old favourites from my childhood and and learn of new ones that I was not aware of. BTW, my mom taught me that little trick with the baking powder as well.
I like the video, but along with showing us, I'd like to get the printed recipe. I love trying your recipes and have not been disappointed with any that I've tried. Thank you for sharing your love for Caribbean dishes.
I like the way you keep it real........ you are down-to-earth and that is important in cooking so keep doing what you are doing, this is your way ,doing your thing. stay true to yourself
Hi Chris! Besides the good food you cook, I love how you engage us, the viewers. Thank you for your willingness to share your recipes, especially with the video instructions! This makes following someone else's recipe, and recipes in general, much better, at the least, for me. I also appreciate how genuine and honest you are. Be well and continued happy cooking!!
Chris, you are doing an excellent job!!! I like how you do things your way and you make cooking look fun and easy especially for those whose favourite room is not the kitchen.
I enjoy your channel because you focus on Caribbean recipes. The seasonings you use are awesome. Being a vegetarian, your channel gives me great ideas for meals.
Dear Chris, I have always enjoyed looking at your cooking videos and you no doubt, cook amazing food. I wish we had computers that allow you to smell your cooking. You are doing a great job. Thank you,
You bring another new approach in preparing some well known dishes in the Caribbean, which is what I love about your site and channel. I was planning to cook some cornmeal dumplings myself and I am going to try it your way and see. I love your step by step guide, I can actually see how the meal should look at each stage and it is very detailed. I am not sure what I'ld like you to add to your videos; so far I like it the way it is but should I have any suggestions I will make my comments.
What I Like about your channel, that is isn't one tone cooking, you spice it up by adding your ingredients to make different. Cooking is not all about following a recipe but making it your own. Also I learn a lot and it makes me think of home.
Hey Chris, Being a college student I knew i would not be in my house that much, which meant missing out on the home cooked Caribbean meals my parents made. I stumbled upon your channel while looking for a callaloo dish recipe. Ever since then I have been able to take your videos and teach myself to make these dishes for myself...my taste buds are indebted to you lol. I even give you credit when my friends ask how i make such delicious food...dont ever stop plz
the fact that you prepare caribbean dishes with video is soooo helpful because its so difficult to get genuine caribbean dishes lol that is there are ppl who cook our food but wrong....you do it right :)
Hi Chris, love that you're showing many ppl our culture in our food and the easy twist you put on it, and what makes it even better is that you explain your self and talk us through the cooking process sometimes being funny love your style and the food you cook, i was just looking for ppl making roti and stuff i love roti and that is how i found you i even liked you on facebook :) thanks again!
styles are very interesting to me, and your channel provides easy to follow recipes with mostly widely available ingredients. I like that you do classic style recipes, and you give your own variations to many dishes, which is a plus because it makes the recipe versatile to suit any tastes. And I think the biggest reason I like your channel and your site is because it's simply entertaining. I like watching you do what you do in the kitchen, and enjoy it. The only thing that would make it better..
I enjoy watching your show. You are well prepared and you keep things simple. I especially liked this video on cornmeal dumplings. They are so versatile. Thank you.
I absolutely love your channel the way it is, you can always make me a trip to the beautiful islands with your amazing recipes, so thank you! Don't ever change! The only improving advice I can give is to put the direct link to the recipe in the description box, but it's such a silly thing. I'm not that lazy, I can also search for it myself XD
Chris I enjoy your videos and they allow me to cook meals for my boyfriend who is from St. Thomas.Your videos add value and flavor to every meal. Keep up the great work.
ONE THING I LOVE ABOUT YOUR CHANNEL IS YOUR PASSION IN YOUR PRESENTATION...YOUR VOICE AND GESTURES ARE INVITING AND YOU KEEP IT SIMPLE. I JUST WATCHED YOUR CHICK PEAS AND POTATOES COOK UP AND I LIKE THE FACT HOW YOU DON'T USE MEASURING DEVICES BUT YOU SAY, "YOU NEED ABOUT A 1/4 TSP" OF PEPPER OR WHATEVER THE INGREDIENT IS...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND YOUR NOT TOO BAD TO LOOK AT.
I like the way your recipes are step by step and easy to follow, they are simple effective and to the point, you try to stick to your home roots which i love and they taste grate, they make an ameuteur seem professional....:)....
Chris, please keep doing your thing. I am a non cooking New York male who loves to eat. Carribeanpot is a life saver for guys like myself. Thank you from all of us!
I love this channel because I feel like if you are right there next to me in the kitchen. You cook every day food like dumplings and I can relate to that.Fantastic .Keep up the good food.
Hey chris lovely chanel, I love the way you add variations to the things we already know, like the cornmeal dumplings I've never done it that way and will be sure to try it..........
First of all i love your channel. I hated researching all over the internet just to find a great west indian recipe. on your site you have a variety of different recipes and i have a dsughter thst is starting to cook. i have introduced her to your channel.
Hey Chris!!!!! I love your channel! I love the fact that I am able to find recipes from Trinidad and I am happy that you go through the steps and explain why. I really don't know much about Trinidad even though my mother was from there so I don't know how to cook a lot of the foods. But now with your channel I can see how to prepare and cook a lot of my fave Trini foods. Thank you!!!!!!!!
Hi Chris... I love Caribbean food although it's not my background. I've been trying to learn some recipes to make at home. Your channel is great because you give such detail I can see exactly what the food is supposed to look like, along with the process to get there. I hope you continue to keep up the great work. I think you should create your own cookbook for publication.
I like watching the good explanation on cooking Caribbean in a home kitchen setting. Maybe post the ingredients for the next upcoming recipe so we can cook something same day , right after watching you make it on youtube. My superfoods are fruit. Once more thanks for all the videos.
I've tried several of your recipes now, with a few modifications, and they've all turned out well. I like how you give suggestions for those ingredients that might not be so easy to get. It would be nice if you could link to your suppliers - especially if they do online or mail order. I'm a recent convert to vegetarianism, so I've subbed most of the animal based stuff, but this really hasn't changed my enjoyment of the recipes I've tried.
What I love , Chris give recipes from the Carribean as a whole. I am from Jamaica and I love ALL foods from the Carribean. Love learning the differences and variations in Island cooking. The videos, Chris takes into account ALL learning styles. I am a combination of all three styles: auditory, visual and kinesthetic. Lastly Chris you offer a one stop shop. Once I identify a recipe i don't have to go anywhere else for information..well, my MOM, sorry Chris. thanks, ya mon!!
i will love to get my hands on this book i think yr doing a great job of showing caribbean foods i myself am opening up my own business to an i love to look at ye show so i can learn new things keep it up
hey chris i'm from trinidad, and i have to say you're the only one, local tv or online who shows how to make local foods using local ingredients. The ironic thing is you're in Canada .Keep up the good work.Alot of people carry on traditions because of ur recipes.
Hi Chris I just found your website, as I was looking for a recipe, I had a desire for some cassava pone and when I checked your recipe, it was very close to what I remember my mom making for us. Your recipe was easy to follow and my children enjoyed as much as I did when I was a child. Thanks Chris, I will definitely be trying a lot more of your recipes.
I was always looking for a good channel on TH-cam for various Caribbean recipes and was looking for quite a while until I stumbled over you the first video I watched was one of the making of Jamaica's national dish "Ackee & Saltfish" since then I subscribed to your channel and watched nearly all of your videos .....you have helped me to help my parents find new and creative dishes to make on a Sunday or even for something quick in the week...It's always a pleasure to watch your videos thank you
Where do I start? I found your channel when I was looking for a jerk chicken rub sometime during this summer, and I've been here ever since. I like your presence and presentation in your videos, it's really down to earth and genuine, and I can really relate to what you do, and what you say about food, family, life and everything you choose to discuss, I "receive" it, and I agree with the message. I'm fairly clueless when it comes to carribean food, but the depth of flavors, spices, and cooking..
Chris: I just tried your dumplings. Do you use a special brand of cornmeal? Does the taste differ with different brand names? I am using one brand at the moment and I am not sure if the things that I have made tastes the same as another brand. Thanks.
I LOVE EVERYTHING!!! YOUR DOING AN AMAZING JOB!!! We Can Only Thank You... Your Recipes Are True To The Caribbean... I Think Your Doing Every Video Perfect By Treating Each As If It's A New Viewer To Your Channel... Keep Doing What Your Doing & Thank You Again.
I am a really good cook! This only happened long after I have been married for many years and began by using the Naparima Girls Cookbook. I make Garlic Pork, Ponche De Creme, stuffed eggs. I stumbled upon Caribbean Pot and have used it many times for technique - I used the pounding technique for the smoked herring - normally I would just shred it!! I am Celiac - so no Gluten for me and hey, all they recommend for us who suffer is Whole and Super foods - so would welcome a book on the subject!
Hi Chris. I'm new to caribbeanpot, but i love your enthusiasim. I'm looking forward to trying the Cornmeal Dumplings, Jamaican Rice and Peas, and the Cassava Pone.
Love the channel - love he facet that your meals are authentic and ooooh the scotch bonnet pepper! I do think that you could incorporate dishes from other islands not just primarily Trinidad. Keep up the good work and keep um coming.

I like the way your recipes are step by step and easy to follow, they are simple effective and to the point, you try to stick to your home roots which i love and they taste grate, they make an ameuteur seem professional....:)....

I like how easy your recipies are to follow
Hi Chris... I love Caribbean food although it's not my background. I've been trying to learn some recipes to make at home. Your channel is great because you give such detail I can see exactly what the food is supposed to look like, along with the process to get there. I hope you continue to keep up the great work. I think you should create your own cookbook for publication.
I love how real your videos are. Feels like we are sitting in the kitchen together.
Can't get enough of Jamaica! Anything that takes me back there is worth my time!!!
I love your videos and the delicious recipes on the site... Thanks for giving me a way to try new food.
I like your video's as they are informative, and easy to understand and follow, packed with a variety of food I love to eat from back home.
I like watching the good explanation on cooking Caribbean in a home kitchen setting. Maybe post the ingredients for the next upcoming recipe so we can cook something same day , right after watching you make it on youtube. My superfoods are fruit. Once more thanks for all the videos.
i am a new subbie and i have tried 2 recipes. the were great. your are very clear and show all the steps. cute too.
Once I identify a recipe i don't have to go anywhere else for information..well, my MOM, sorry Chris.
thanks,
ya mon!!

hey chris i'm from trinidad, and i have to say you're the only one, local tv or online who shows how to make local foods using local ingredients. The ironic thing is you're in Canada .Keep up the good work.Alot of people carry on traditions because of ur recipes.
Hi Chris
I just found your website, as I was looking for a recipe, I had a desire for some cassava pone and when I checked your recipe, it was very close to what I remember my mom making for us. Your recipe was easy to follow and my children enjoyed as much as I did when I was a child.
Thanks Chris, I will definitely be trying a lot more of your recipes.
I was always looking for a good channel on TH-cam for various Caribbean recipes and was looking for quite a while until I stumbled over you the first video I watched was one of the making of Jamaica's national dish "Ackee & Saltfish" since then I subscribed to your channel and watched nearly all of your videos .....you have helped me to help my parents find new and creative dishes to make on a Sunday or even for something quick in the week...It's always a pleasure to watch your videos thank you
Hi Chris Love the channel.Keep cooking your wicked meal.I like all of those fresh ingredient you uses.
I like everything about your recipes there great and I like to watch your videos. Thank you for what you are doing.
Thanks.
Hi Chris, I always thought baking powder was not necessary, but now for sure I am going to it this way.
I like the your explanation in cooking the food. I suggest after cooking the food, you should try it or take a bite out of it.
You remind me of being back home and my grandma teaching me how to cook, that's why I love your videos it brings back so much memories.
You are very enlightening, you liven up the kitchen, it is fun to look at your video, especially un tasty Tuesday.
I love your food it is real Caribbean food and that is what I like to cook. would like to find out more things to do with breadfruit and cassava.
