The way Ryan acknowledges everything Lewis says even as he is making a point is an amazing skill to have in conversation. Also, Lewis is such a kind and amazing interviewer. This video helped me a lot!
This interview was eye-opening. Not because of the content, but because I realized that the negative feelings I experienced towards the guest were a direct reflection of what I need to change about myself. 💖
HELLO, I AM FROM VIET NAM AND I START BECOMING YOUR AUDIENCE RECENTLY. GOOD CONTENT. WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR? WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF GREATNESS. PLEASE KEEP BEING THIS AUTHENTIC AND TRANSPARENT BECAUSE THE WORLD NEEDS THAT.
I never had a passion that didn't fade. And when it fades I can't keep up the interest. Purpose lasts beyond emotions, you can remind yourself of the purpose and re validate it. When passion is the reason, the reason itself disappears.
Passion is like a warm and cozy bath tab that eventually turns cold and still. Purpose is like a cold and rocky stream that eventually carries you to your desired destination provided you stay the course.
I started a journal writing the most inspiring and powerful quotes to remind myself of the most important things in life to help me in those moments when I will not be able to think clearly and make good decisions. I just wrote it down :). Thank you for sharing this message Trezker !
Lewis asked some of the most interesting questions I've ever heard, and Ryan gave some of the more insightful and humbling answers. Amazing amazing amazing.
@23mins Anyone can do/work at something they love. Do something you love and have a purpose. Here's what I'm trying to accomplish, here's why it's important and I'm not going to stop until it is done. @27mins in "Thou knowest the man, thou knowest not his wrestling." Super Lewis and Ryan, thank you! :)
I could watch this again and again...and I already read his books...haha thank you for this Lewis! I shared this video with a friend too! Oh and this Epictetus guy is the man!
This was a great interview. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about it at the start, since I identify as a passionate person. I loved his take on everything, though.
loved this interview lewis, even though it over a year old. Great content from Ryan, I recently became a fan of his from watching him on a Gary Vee Interview.
I'm 20 mins in, loving it so far. I just enjoy Ryan's voice haha. Anyway, there is something that I'm really wondering. Maybe it will be answered, but I just wanna put it out there while it's on my mind. Where does this whole 'visualise yourself as already being successful/ a millionaire etc' fit into the whole ego vs humility conversation? Time to continue anyway...
Ryan name is cool at my ears ( The expert in anything like Ryan was once begginer at something ( that's words from idol Lewis Howes ) 😱. Ryan and idol Lewis --- he's the right guy ___ he won't leave ( salute ) 😇
Would have been hilarious if Holiday answered the question at 36:03 by saying "Me. I'm the best at that. Next question.." Haha jk jk. Love the videos Lewis! Came here after the Krewella interview.
Good person ( have this ) think before you speak ( read before you think ) ( what's on your ready list this time.... ( Jim Kwik ) words I believe it's true .😱😄
Interesting stuff. Too bad though his own ego popped up when he dismissed adventure novels as being ''not good books''. I bet J.K. Rowling and Tolkien beg to differ;)
Ryan is using too many "like" word and "you know what I mean?" expression as teenagers who can't talk with full sentences. I know it sounds harsh to say this, except that I expect better of him. With that speaking style he sounds like a layperson who is philosophizing on an armchair. Ryan should be better than that. I like his stoic bent philosophy.

The Obstacle is the Way is one of a handful, out of thousands of books I've read, that truly changed my life for the better.
holy shit bro you read alot of books! what's your reading ritual?
Damn. Are you the real Seneca?
"Purpose is better than passion" - what a line.
This interview was eye-opening. Not because of the content, but because I realized that the negative feelings I experienced towards the guest were a direct reflection of what I need to change about myself. 💖
You and Graham Bensinger need to create a major network series. Best two interviewers on the planet right now.
The interviewer is just so curious and his curiosity makes everything more interesting.
Hey this was a good one, nice work Lewis and thank you!!

Ryan name is cool at my ears ( The expert in anything like Ryan was once begginer at something ( that's words from idol Lewis Howes ) 😱. Ryan and idol Lewis --- he's the right guy ___ he won't leave ( salute ) 😇
42:59 - mind blast
it's amazing
I finished reading Shoe Dog about a month ago, although it's been out for a while (April 2016), you should read it and interview Phil Knight.
No problem.
“One can not outgrow what he learns”
*Watching now
Would have been hilarious if Holiday answered the question at 36:03 by saying "Me. I'm the best at that. Next question.." Haha jk jk. Love the videos Lewis! Came here after the Krewella interview.

Good person ( have this ) think before you speak ( read before you think ) ( what's on your ready list this time.... ( Jim Kwik ) words I believe it's true .😱😄
get robert greene on
So, gareth bale write books now?
I feel like 85% of what comes out of Ryan’s mouth in this interview are quotes of other people.
Lewis, do you have allergies or rhinitis sometimes? Just noticing something.
why do many damn doctors, lawyers, talkshow hosts and politicians have fucking ego issues?
Great interview Lewis, just one thing...
"When you get podcast, you ask me that... " Well, that was rude, wasn't it ?
I am like how can a 30 year old be an expert on anything. And then
like write a book about it, right?
You couldn't answer the 3 Truths?! Haha!
Interesting stuff. Too bad though his own ego popped up when he dismissed adventure novels as being ''not good books''. I bet J.K. Rowling and Tolkien beg to differ;)
This dude has ego flooding out of his ears. What is he talking about!!
He admits he has ego. Everyone has ego but not everyone is aware of the destruction of it. Ryan is aware!
Mergingpoint how did you know?
@@yoosif0 coz he saw that ego flowing out of his ears lol
...he looks like Gareth Bale
Hahaha. I was trying to place it. Definitely a bit of bale there

iNSPIRING interview.
this dude himself is full of ego... IJS
Agreed.. If you know how he started his career, let's just say it wouldn't surprise you.
Uani P why do you think he has ego?
