I recently started a new Emerald game with Treeko and before I even knew about this team vid, I already had Ralts and Tallow (switching to Zubat) lol. Now that you mention it I will need Makuhita (or Aron) out of necessity for Watson. This team it goated 💯 and while I myself was planning on Sharpedo, I'm now reminded on how Tentacool (like Zubat) is a gem hidden in plain sight.
Hey! Thanks for the nice comment, it’s cool that you used the same team! I’ll try to get around to Emboar soon although I have a reworked Swampert team in the works that might get posted first
Nice team! I personally prefer Hariyama with the Guts ability as I can further amp him with Facade and also Belly Drum. Swellow with Guts is of course great, though with Hariyama, I'd opt for either Flygon, Crobat or Altaria tbh.
@@wilsonresurreccion8346 these moves are unnecessary for most of the game and have low base power. I’d keep them on a boxed Pokémon and only take it out when you need it
I am starting my own Hoenn journey as I can play this amazing game in my IPAD now, I was thinking of choosing either Mudkip or Torchic but then changed the last minute as Treecko will always be my favorite Hoenn starter then I stumbled upon your vid. I’ma bout to use this amazing diverse team of yours! Thanks mate 🫶🏻
My team: Sceptile Alakazam Machamp Flygon Camerupt Gyarados p.s: when u were talking about swellow' s guts ability i remembered that i had machamp with same ability thanks!
@@joshb1137 I don’t typically use legendary Pokémon in playthroughs but it’s probably a swords dance set. Maybe Swords Dance Earthquake Rock Slide Flamethrower/Solar Beam/Brick Break
I think this team is very solid, but depending on what version you're playing Camerupt would either be incredibly solid or not great at all. In Emerald he doesn't have a great matchup into the Elite 4 at all, whereas in R/S he at least has a uniquely good matchup into a significant portion of Steven's team. Either way I think his spot would be better filled by either Flygon or Salamence, who offer more potent offensive coverage while simultaneously having a better defensive spread. I also think an electric type such as Manectric, Raichu, or Magneton could be suitable for the spot, since there are several key trainers in Hoenn who like running Gyarados on their team and having a flying resist would be useful given the two flying weak Pokemon.
Altaria is a good choice if you’d like to use it. I do prefer Swellow because of its higher attack and speed as well as access to guts. Altarias best quality is its access to dragon dance but Swellows guts + facade combo makes for easier sweeps in my opinion
I'm going to start playing Emerald and I've been thinking about the following team: Sceptile Absol Milotic Gardevoir Flygon For the 6th pokemon I still don't know which one to take... Can you help me regarding that and also the moveset I should pick for each one?
I think Aagron/ Magneton would be a good fit. You have a common bug weakness and no flying resistance at the moment. These Pokémon take care of both, plus steel is a pretty busted typing in gen 3. Which Pokémon would you like movesets for? I’ll try to answer quickly
@@OaksLab848 thank you for the fast response! I will go for Magneton then! Well, all preferebly but I have more doubts for Magneton, Milotic and Flygon movesets.
@@OaksLab848 For the others I was thinking something like: Sceptile (Leaf Blade, Brick Break, Crunch, ?) Gardevoir (Calm Mind, Psychic, Thunderbolt, ?) Absol (Shadow Ball, Swords Dance, Strength, ?) Dunno if that is viable but yeah, still don't know all of them.
@@danielcruz9013 looks good Here’s some notes/ suggestions Sceptile - Crunch is an egg move so be aware of that. A good fourth move I’d recommend is dragon claw via tm Gardevoir - my favorite set is the moves you have + thief as the fourth move. Good for opposing psychic and ghost Absol - Aerial ace is a good fourth move to defeat fighting types Magneton - this guy doesn’t get a lot of level up moves but I really like to do some extra work to get hidden power ice. Having electric and ice moves is famously outstanding offensive coverage. I like Thunder, Thunderbolt, HP ice, Thunderwave. Hidden power grass/water is probably okay too. The idea is to have super effective damage against ground but ice is the best bc it hits dragon too. Flygon - I’d go with Earthquake, Fly, Crunch, Flamethrower/DClaw/FireBlast Milotic - Surf, Ice Beam, Toxic, Recover is pretty standard and very good
@@OaksLab848 Thank you so much for your help! About hidden power, I have to search about it because I'm not really aware of how you get a specific type for it.
I didn't know swellow was that good!

My team for my first play through of Omega Ruby was Swampert, Breloom, Swellow, Aggron, Camerupt, and Gardevoir.
Awesome team! I also really like pairing Swampert and Breloom
@@OaksLab848 Breloom with a toxic orb and poison heal is awesome. Swellow with guts is also underrated with facade.
Hi great Vids u got there, i was wondering u said leaf blade is a special move, isn’t it a phy move?
In generation 4 onward it is physical. Emerald gen 3 it is special
Currently sitting at Sceptile, Gardevoir, Lairon. I want to add Absol but torn on what water and flying/dragon type to use.
Which out of Wailord, Milotic, or Walrein would you recommend? I feel like Milotic is the best but takes FOREVER. So Walrein correct?
That’d be my recommendation exactly
Sceptile, gardevoir, pelipper( supersonic OP)😂,flagon, linoon (hm slave). Can anyone recommend another Pokemon or any I should change ?
Switch peliper for azumaril and sabeleye for gardevoir, and torkoal is best hm slave

Have you thought making a best team for each region without using regional starters. This would be cool
