I watched William's video at work today, saw the shirt and said "that's from saveitforparts!"
When I watched Wills video and he said "Sand people" and showed the flyer I went " I know who that guy is!" lmao 😂 Sick gift to send him! He's going to have a classic computer museum by Christmas! 😂
I loved seeing your gift pop up on Big Willy's video! two of my favorite creators colliding lol
I hope they didn't collide too hard or else they might not survive in order to do a collab.
In the 80's the TRS-80 had a Morse Code program. My highschool friend hooked up 2 TRS 80's each to FM bug kits bought from Disk Smith (Aussie Radio Shack like shop) and Walkmans and could transmit messages over about 100m in what was literally the first wireless network I'd ever witnessed
Not gunna lie William's video made me smile when he pulled out that shirt. That all in one style trs-80 and the noise it made was legit scary tho.
Awesome, mail time means more cool items! Looks like a bunch of interesting gadgets and accessories, I’m sure they’ll be useful with all the various ongoing projects!
This will one day be a meme goldmine
You're a good person, I'm not surprised that you are treated well.
Awesome love William Osman's videos and yours as well!
Loved the M100 I had in the 90's. Reminds me of the notes I took with it for a community college IBM System/360 assembly course that I shouldn't have even bothered taking. LOL
i actually saw that video on his channel William Osman 2 when he unboxed it
Sending him a TRS-80 laptop is hilarious! haha such a meme.
Dude..
My side gig in 1986 ish was making briefcase Radio Shack vehicle mount 5 watt mobile phones with lead acid batteries as a geeky teen on Western Long Island NY
I love the Tandy Idea!! I hope William will appreciate it and not trow it around like he usually does with a lotta TRS-80 stuff :D
Great stuff Gabe!
I was afraid he'd throw it in the neighbor's bushes where failed food goes 😂
@7:09 that Quansheng transceiver is going to be fun! Numerous clever people have made hardware hacks/mods for this radio to open it up to many more frequencies than it ships with.
TRS-80 was awesome. I still play games on the cassette tapes.
5:42 ooo. I’ve been looking for one. And by looking for, I mean trying to talk work out of the one we found in a cabinet.
They're really fun!
WILLIAM OSMAN?!
He's a legend
He sucks.
This channel is always fun and pretty entertaining. Looks like you got some pretty good stuff to fuel future videos, Gabe ! Not gonna lie .... I'm pretty jealous of axe man down here in Kansas City.. we dont seem to have anything like that here. Big sadge.
had this laptop once with a old tandy flatbed ploter, used it letters , loved the system and the ploter printed out nice had writen type print. wish still had them
He’s like wow the fifth one!!!
Ooooh. That briefcase is interesting.
Also ooooooooh radios. The urge to ask to pick through them lol.
The red poster is a DouFang, it says 福(fu) and means good luck or fortune. you can put it on a wall or a door right side up or upside down
Of all people i didnt expect you to have sent it XD
4:06 No james bond stuff, these were made for all sorts of on the go business people, my boss had one the had enough room for the phone, 2 extra chunky batteries and all his paper work, basically an office on the go.
That Quansheng radio can be updated with firmware to go on 10m and other hf bands for RX. Its a more advanced baofeng. Look it up on youtube.
The radios look cool, reminds me of 70's TV shows and movies. The one you picked up and showed in the video is apparently a Standard or Telemobile C834L, and according to the EA4GWY Museum, good for 146-174 MHz using crystals swapped internally. My old 27 MHz radios (similar to the Realistic ones used on Stranger Things) were the same, you had to swap the RX and TX crystals to change channels. I'm guessing the units would need re-capping as well.
A quick check online shows that it should work in the US VHF Marine frequency range, if you can find suitable crystals.
the Quansheng radio is a K5 triband radio i think you will find, and they are known as the worlds most hackable hand held with full band capability and multiple hacked firmware available and a hardware hack to make it all band capable. and the portapack is a fun bit of kit im sure you will feature in the future, i received one the same state with a busted rotary encoder, i replaced that and its working well, but its surface mount so not a fun job, but you can buy replacement front panels. all mode sdr with some cool software on it
I think PCBWay is great-I have all my circuit boards manufactured there.
A diving robot? I'm excited and can't wait to go hunting for a sea monster! With the diving robot, they are well-equipped; I hope they also get a sonar.
You can never have enough Raspberry Pis.
Love the filler vids!
I'm writing a scifi novel and you just came up with my title "Electrical Crimes"⚡️👍
Ha! Awesome :-)
2:30 thats what i need to get for my dad cause of his houses previous owners mysterious electrical crimes! thank you!
hilarious seeing a cameo from you in Bill's video
4:12 that shirt reminds me of Metal Gear Solid 2 "TURN OFF THE CONSOLE RAIDEN"
New video wootwoot!!
I like the Quansheng radios, there are all sorts of hacked firmware versions out there which allow them to do proper airband receive, SSB receive, etc, as well as the normal VHF/UHF FM. You can even fit a board which will extend its HF coverage right down.
COLLAB OF THE ETERNITY
❤❤❤ I fix radio everyday. watch your videos
orange display overhead traffic sign on highways in the beginning used the TRS-80 laptop in them to run the display
That modded ds is intriguing
those radios look like rebranded Yaesu FT-202Rs (6 channel VHFs) crystal controlled . If so, after market batteries are still available and are compatible between FT202/207/208/708
Probably cost you more in crystals these days than their purchase price !
IT WAS YOU!!!! 😂
2:35 I used to play bass for "Electrical Crimes"
By the way I'm still planning to do the video of the package you sent me, I feel bad for waiting on it. lol
Nice shirt!😉
Cool stuff!
lol. I guess we’ll see it open sauce.
8:47 hahahhaahahhahaha yeah…the postal carriers here are sus too. I have something important coming that I’m having sent to the studio because it’s way more reliable than my apartment.
That Quansheng is totally modable i think the mod boards are in ver 5
Nice laptop
So thats where it came from! Lol
"This video will probably come out in January" - or maybe mid February!
Is it Christmas already? Seems like only yesterday... 😉
I want to go to OpenSauce so bad
id love to find a pci-e sdr in some form
Why would you do that? He's just going to pour ketchup all over it or something. 😂
How about making a video showing how you design and 3d print replacement battery covers?
I didn't design them, someone already had files on thingiverse
JUNK IN THE TRUNK?
just move >>>>>> 8m 30s >>>>>> to where he opens the TRS-80 Laptop
I didn't get the name of the other channel's name : I heard it like "two and signal"-channel? but didnct found 😮🤔
"Tuned Signal", I thought I linked to him in the description but I can add it. It came back return to sender and I couldn't reach him after that, hopefully he's OK!
#TeamFLUFF❤
9:34 lol try Feb 11 ;D
Isn't Tandy the name of the green chick from Lower Decks? 🤔
I think the PCBWay flag is for Chinese New Year.
What do you do for work
😀
My question is it worth stealing
I wouldn't steal from a guy with an excavator and giant metal beartraps in his yard 😂
I swear, I'm the only person doing ads for PCBWay (2-3 a month) that didn't get a Christmas package.
can i have one...
You and william keep getting the same kinds of packages, just the contents of someone's junk drawer that they can't bring themselves to get rid of, projects that mostly work, piles of useful stuff, etc. The only problem for you is that your viewers don't seem as concerned about having their letters read so you're gonna have a hard time copying his monetization strategy.
I don't get as many letters, sometimes it's just a box of random stuff with no explanation :-P
William Osman.... lame.
