Hell bro, this is great, and very interesting, as a 1.4ghz xbox owner, I didn't squeeze mine enough, someday I will paid for this upgrades. You could go one step more, trying the 720p patchs in some heavy games, like Halo 2 and Doom 3. That's an interesting thing to see!

You should've show games that actually struggle on this console, while half life does games such as gta and halo works pretty good, i remember for example doom3 work like assss and i think CPU upgrade would improve framerate

In fact, it's the EEPROM that's damaged, with the SCL tab missing and a pad destroyed. I replaced the EEPROM 24wc02j with a model I thought was identical, but it refuses to flash. Can you recommend an exact EEPROM model for an Xbox 1.2? Many thanks in advance. Could you demonstrate us a perfect Modxo installation with a simple Pi Zero or its clones?
How did you confirm that the EEPROM was damaged? I'm also actually finding some EEPROM chips with the same model number, but from what I'm reading you already tried this. And I also assume that you fixed the broken pad?

@@siem8160 I wouldnt know at all if im being honest, Ali has been hit and miss for parts. Did you by chance use a rip you got from a 1.0, or 1.6 board? If that is the case, the console will be inoperable. it NEEDS to be a rip off a 1.1 - 1.4 board since you're using a 1.2 revision. I've had one of these consoles, and a standard OG Xbox untouched. Both have the same loading times, 1080i games on component Vs hdmi the same ect. I fail to see the point of all this work. The games, are programmed to use only what the retail OG Xbox was back in the day. 64MB ram 733mhz Pentium 3 copper mine 8GB drive cache ect. You show it a 1.4ghz CPU nothing new happens
@@ShiroColdkeyesTheHedgehog I actually removed the clock cap on this unit, and upgraded the ram. I actually ordered all the caps required for a full board recap as well.
The GPU is a custom part that has the Northbridge and GPU in one. No other part would work. Even if you could manage it with an Nvidia MCP from back then, there's nothing else with that much of a better GPU core.

I need all 40-something of those little bits that go ONTO the interposer in addition to the cpu... where are you getting them? they arent in stock. i have all but the last 5 on the Interposer's parts requirements article. But, actually you can overclock the GPU some hz and (although unstable) try for some games, the performance increase some fps it's more than the ram upgrade and cpu upgrade due the power of GPU, direct X and the games aswell.

Not in the way that Console King did in this video. On a PS3, you can swap out the 90nm RSX processor for a more stable 45nm one.

@ I got everything off JLCPCB, all pre-populated. They had every component i needed for franks interposer.
