Your custom Woody has so much more life in it. It has a warmer color palette, looks more like a rag doll, and the eyes don't look creepy (like the Medicom's eyes do!)

Something I always noticed was that the Woody models released post Toy Story 2, majority of them had a thicker right arm, mean to resemble the newly stuffed and sewn are from the end of the film, they just never really added the stitching

i mean, it's not a very fair fight, one was made as a collectible to be sold, and one (yours) was pacifically designed to be as movie accurate as possible
That is true but the reason I make these is because it’s entertainment not really to be taken seriously. People love different things for different reasons and that’s always ok.
The sculpt and Especially the Paint on the Medicom is far superior in my opinion. But you can tell that your custom is a labor of love, So of course he is the winner ;)

The Medicom Woody is slightly overrated, but in no means is it bad. However, the fact that the coloring is off on some parts and no voice box for $550 bugs me.

Like, to make a perfect movie accurate Woody, fuse all the good points that you have on each and put it together.
The problem is medicom woody is too expensive and materials are fragile so it’s not worth modifying. Also medicom woody has too many problems, I rather sell it soon tbh. I’m going to attempt a woody mod 3.0 but with another rare thinkway toys real denim jeans 2009 body.
Understandable. But, my best advice, give the Medicom Woody hat to the custom to be more movie accurate.

But strictly speaking you should give medicom Woody a point for having a gold ring for the pull string I think that looks more accurate and it’s higher up his back which is something I really like. Granted it’s not a working voice box but I think it’s good for show and more accurate.

In my opinion, i think medicom's woody is mostly made for stop motion.

Im not a hater but i think medicom did better. To me, they both arent very or exactly identical to the movie, but medicom basically almost has all the features, other than his floppiness and pull string. But when you think about it, medicom woody is not really a toy to be played with, so i can understand why they didnt add those details. Medicom is more of a prop/decoration/collectors item

Well as someone who prefers posable action figures that can stand on their own, I prefer medicom Woody. I don't really like ragdolls that collapse the second you let go of them lol
I get it, I’m just comparing this to Andy’s Woody in the movie.. I want his Woody the ultimate movie prop.
@@todayigrewup and that is a perfectly valid thing to want but both of these figures are going for 2 completely different things. Your custom Woody is going for a toy mode replica which is great, but Medicom is going for a life mode Woody so him having articulation and being able to stand on his own is movie accurate because he's perfectly capable of standing on his own when he's not in toy mode.

you should maybe try put the Medicom Woody vest onto your custom one because the outline on the vest of your custom one is too thick and I think the Medicom vest looks better and more accurate in my opinion. btw it’s me SuperMarioPierre if u still do remember me 😁

How do you expect a VOICEBOX INSIDE MEDICOM WOODY?? okay he is 600$ but still HE HAS A METAL SKELETON INSIDE HIM HIS TORSO WOULD BE POPING OUT and a voice box being compressed against a METAL SKELETON would break it
You’d have to take out his metal skeleton otherwise you can’t fit a voice box inside. I don’t recommend it though medicom is too expensive to mod.

Yes thinkway is the best one from a factory but buzz also has better features like karate chop action from the Disney store

In my honest opinion the Medicom woody is just kind of overpriced for what it is tbh. Yes I understand that its made for better posing and more head expressions but for the $600 price tag. Its not worth it. The skin color is off. The arms have those weird seams with tons of white string and its not even real demin. For $600 we definitely deserve real demin for the jeans. I will give it to them for having the better boots and having in my opinion a better looking holster even if the gold color is wrong but they should have made it as accurate as possible which they didn't. I'd be willing to spend at max $100 on one and thats honestly how much they appear to be worth. At $600 you can easily build a better custom woody with real demin jeans or even for $150 you can make nearly a better more accurate woody without demin jeans but still add wire for posing and holding his position. I expected waay better out of a $600 toy and its honestly a shame considering that its aimed towards collectors and not really children.

I think colour wise, Medicom got the clothes, boots, belt , and hat right, but your custom got the skin tone right, as well as the yellow buckle and spurs. I can see what they’re aiming for with the gold-ish details, but I feel like there’s a middle ground where it can look like both gold and a really bright yellow at the same time. Kinda like the vibrant yellow look I’ve seen some of the cheaper plastic Genie Lamps use.

@@todayigrewup I know it’s a lot of money, but someone should use and kitbash the medicom jacket hat and belt and boots and combine it with collection woody. I think he’d look awesome. Also maybe a magnet idea for the heads would be a good idea like the buzz mod?

Think i may have said it before but the reason behind the woody, jessie and mr potato head hats have holes in them is to prevent a suffocation hazard, back in the 90's burger king kids meals had pokemon plastic balls with tiny plush toys inside. Tragically three babies between the ages of 3 months to 18 months placed the ball half's around their mouth and nose creating suction that they were too young to break the seal. Another little girl who also was 18 moths did the same thing, thankfully by the grace of god her father found her and resuscitated the girl. The balls were recalled and new safety standerds had to be put in place. Now any type of plastic or vinyl hat, container, baby doll bottle cap, doll pacifier and action figure helmets and shelds that can come off are made to prevent any suction to build up for toys, medicom woody is ment to be a collectable and has instructions saying that it is not a toy for children under any circumstances

I don’t know if it’s because of Medicom Woody’s pale skin tone, but the colour of Brazil Woody’s face looks a bit more flesh-like. Was the face repainted or is it just Medicom Woody’s skin tone that makes Brazil Woody’s skin tone look darker?

Your custom vest is too pale and the black and white lining around the edges Are too thick. Medicom got that more movie accurate.
My custom Woody was improved since this video. Medicom was all wrong had to sell it. For what they charged wasn’t worth it. The new 3.0 medicom at $380 is better
