Citroen should have considered automatic, considering the fact that they have their presence in tier-1 cities, where demand for automatic is high due to traffic conditions.
Secondly, defogger and rear wiper are a necessity and not a luxury.
The following are required by the Indians as per market servey. If the car companies follow than definitely capture indian market :-
1. Car 5 seaters engine. 1200CC and above.
2. Tyre size 16 " or above
3. Ground clearance not less than 190"
4. Luggage space 250 ltrs and above.
5. At least out of 5 stars 4 stars ratting.
The above are the min requirements of indian people's seen the indians roads.
6. Car Price 8 to 12 lakh
7. Provide better service.

Seriously the C3 looks beautiful. The interiors are unique, the handling is decent, and the 1.2L seems peppy. But the amount of cost-cutting Citroen has done is hilarious. I believe Citroen is too confident that the design of the C3 would attract Indian buyers even though some basic features go for a toss. Let's see once the prices are out!

Citroen is highly respected oldtime car manufacturer. They did lose out in recent decades against better financing and strategies of others.
In 70s one of their cars crossing the Sahara had run out of engine oil. The drivers filled both with bananas that had become overripe due heat and used it as lubricant. With a prayer they succeeded in crossing the desert safely. It was a fantastic story of its time and allowed Citroen to win myriad fans.
actually you have combined 2 videos here...while sharing Tyre related details, you have used another car having alloys in it. That can be identified from alloy/wheel cover design only.

I took a test drive today Ravi Sir, the car is really awesome to drive and it is correct that Cost cutting has been done a lot.
it's not always about features which we hardly use.. but they should have given features which help in safely driving, i don't know what Citroen was thinking.. features list se zyada missing features list h..

This is the Citroens entry level car in India. In the price sensitive Indian market they have done cost reduction, but had delivered the most comfortable ride in the segment. At the end of the day this is what matters. If you are not tired after a long drive, this car achieve its purpose. I also like that they stick to basic features to offer the best price. I hardly touch electrically adjustable mirrors in a month. So such omissions are justified. Though I prefer dual focus rear view mirror which helps to reduce glare in the night. Then how often we drive long time during night.
This car will be for daily commute not for enthusiast i think

The excitement level I can see😅, is a clear evident of it having good driving dynamics🚙, like gear ratio, pickup, suspension and handling.If I go with the price expectation🤔, it should be piched against Tata Punch. if I sum it up, it's a good car for driving enthusiasts👍
Practically speaking... 5.5 to 6.7 lakhs mei iske saare variants cover ho jaane chahiye. Isse upar ex-showroom price jaate hi log dusre achhe options le leinge. Koi jyada features mei difference to hoga nhi base aur top model mei to itna hi range justified hai.

I think price would be the deciding factor... Not all are going for features.... Basics are all well in place...engine performance, comfortable ride, sufficiently spaced...
The features missing in the name of cost cutting are the features that make this car taxi car more than family.
Then please buy Maruti or Hyundai or Tata which stuff their cars with cheap mass market electronics and cut back on engineering. European cars have engineering Asian cars have zero engineering therefore they successfully fool customers who are suckers for cheap stakes by offering loads of cheap mass market electronics.

All this at an affordable on road price and service cost. If you buy the diesel model you get mileage and power as well.
But suckers for cheap stakes only expect cheap mass market electronics, mileage and resale value from a tin box. Even crashing into a bicycle will result in green colored coolant leaking on the road, please see the videos for yourself on TH-cam.

8.5L on road for turbo variant with steel wheels is what I expect. A wagon R costs 7.5L. So I wouldn't mind buying turbo petrol at 1L more.

Turbo petrol cannot be neglected. Also turbo petrol combined with very good steering feedback, overall car's ride quality cannot be compared with NA engine and commuter tuned suspension. So 8.5L for that Turbo engine is not bad I think.

Best review so far. I had really high hopes with this car, was disappointed when we saw it, but after your review i can understand the focus. It would have been a great buy for a first time car buyer for me who is young and has restricted budget but wants good performance, but no automatic makes it difficult to reach such audience. It could be a good fit for many people i know who are a family of 3-4, are comfortable with manual, value performance and are not concerned with features, use it mostly for office commute and weekend knickknacks. Only problem is if such people are ready to trust Citroen with the networks and services.

Overall C3 is a good car. Competitive pricing and after sales networks will decide the success of this car.
I think Citroen made a blunder in terms of strategy. First they launched bit overpriced(though good one) C5 which they pitched in luxury segment which is overpriced than their competitions. Now they launched similar themed/looking fully cost cutting/ bare bones vehicle called c3 which is cheap in every way. They have de valued C5 by launching c3. What they should have done is put a fresh design into Creta segment where they can attract customers by their clean look and good driving dynamics. This lower segment will invite more haters than satisfied customers. People buying in this segment create lot of noise for simplest things.

Music system is very good, cabin is silent, sitting is good , rear leg space is good. I got a SUV feeling as bonet is fully visible.

no doubt beautiful looking car.. I took test ride, Found one serious issue which no youtuber has told ever in any video i saw till date for this car.... Is that literary there is very less space between clutch pedal and dead pedal,, which makes is extremely uncomfortable while driving...
Isse toh Brezza bahot hi achhi hogi. C3 is even more basic than Kiger-Magnite.
Would rate it as A Taxi model only. I have my doubts people might not accept it with rukha-sukha features, fixed headrests & dandiwala ORVM.

Features like rear wiper, defogger, electronically foldable orvms, automatic climate control, etc. are much needed features nowadays. Also, no alloy wheels even in top variant which is again a big miss. Don’t know how will the car perform in the indian market, the only way is aggressive pricing (around 5-7 lakhs) ex-showroom.

Citroen C3 has great performance,but it really disappointed me when it lacks basic features like rear wiper ,washer ,defogger ,rear armrest etc .
