@@motorinc It's like they were deciding by committee that was corresponding via airmail - they launched a car 3 years after it should have been launched
Sitting here, watching these impressions makes me feel like I'm sitting in Lord's watching a test match. I can just sit back, grab a mug of beer, and enjoy watching these two talk about all things automobiles.. Love this.
You can literally see Singhee sir being happy like a child getting chocolate when we talks about the good points of the car and then his heart breaking a bit when he says 'but...'. I hope Citreon listens to this and does something about it. What a great episode and a great start to the day!
@@MrRykage I think the price that they have come up with this time is a competitive one. Tata Curvv has something to rival the price since day 1. So definitely a win albeit a small one. High time Tata starts taking after-sales and service seriously
I have the top model of this car with vibe pack.. have driven around 1000+ kms on this. Have to say.. this is the best value for money fun to drive car in the segment. The engine is thrillingly peppy, suspension comfort and space is awesome.. even it feels pretty solid with heavy doors and hood..and surprisingly music system is great as well. It has most of the utlility features.. like wireless android auto apple car play in a 10inch display..Really happy with the purchase
@@motorinc I have a c3 aircross for 2 months now and not getting mileage more than 11 in city. Other than this car has been an absolute delight to drive. The engine's performance the comfort top notch. The infotainment system works pretty well too.
Another case of how a brand who are driven by managers’ research notes but not customers’ needs. Glad you are doing such deeper dives than 10 minutes first drives.
I have a C3 and have logged 12,000 kilometers of pure happiness on the ODO! It's such a pleasure to drive and puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel. While I don't have an emotional attachment to it, I love the C3 because it's a mechanically sorted product. But Citroen might not see success if they don't change their thought process. I don't know who's doing their product and market analysis.
@@motorinc me with friends went on a road trip, when I was in India in a C3 aircross, it felt amazing. I'm using Crysta. so compared to double the amount i paid for the Toyota, this car is practical and economical.
its like the more i started listening to motorinc first the more i'm learning about a how a vehicle should behave. i don't think in india there is any competition to this level of podcast type review. and most importantly the way shumi and karthik explains every detail is a benchmark for any podcast ! its like you guys just explained better than what i thought about C3 Aircross.
Correct. All the other reviewers only regurgitate what they have already heard from other reviewers, no original thought or opinion. I'm tired of hearing the same few phrases from every auto journalist/reviewer: "premium features", "jabardast performance", "idhar aisa kuch interior dekhne ko mil jaata hai".
Citroen got Schooled in a proper way!! This looked more like an intervention...😂 Great job guys voicing out general concerns... That benchmarking with french cars statement was a headshot!
We have been using the NA C3 for 2 years now. 20k kms done. You will be awestruck by the way it rides and handles . It has a nice touchscreen unit. Handles basics well. If you are not hung up on features this will be the one. My parents dont prefer travelling in my dzire anymore. I dont feel any missing features. Noise insulation could be better. I will look at aftermarket for noise insulation
As a C3 Turbo owner I fell in love with the car just like shumi said. Looked past all the features and tech but the driving experience made me put the money. Fantastic car the C3 turbo. Also not once have I missed Auto AC Or any other feature.
Why do these two people sound like therapists to me whenever I watch their videos? Surely MotorInc has a long way to go and I'm happy to be a part of this marvelous journey. Happy miles together everyone❤❤❤
I was delighted to see the video title. I got this car 2 months back and I will agree with each and every point made by Kartikeya. Once I test drove this car I was blown away by performance as well as the comfort and decided on the spot that this would be the one I buy. This is such a great car marred by lack of few features I miss like keyless entry and auto AC especially. You can easily sit at 120 in 5th and go much faster and don't feel the bumps at all. In terms of service I feel they are doing good for now because since they don't have much units sold the feel is much more personalised. Not sure how it will move going forward. Mileage wise I am Getting around 10 and have not got around to highway trips.
Please bring Diesel engine for C3 aircross!! Stlantis have fiats 1.2 diesel engine! Give this option for a good drive with diesel mileage . Petrol gives less mileage so my recommendation ...
I did a TD of the 5 seater automatic and all I could say was "What a car": Loved the tall seating and all encompassing view great pillowy ride and the chiller of an A/C, had my whole family of 4 adults plus two toddlers: Second row with my son, daughter in law and the twin toddlers and the sales rep from Citroen with me in the drivers seat and wife as the front passenger engine didn't break a sweat at all. Now what I'd like to have is a proper keyless entry, power adjustable OVRM's, LED head and tail lights, climate control and the 6 airbags rear power window switches must be on the rear doors.. This is one car that I'd like to have but my Honda City 2017 CVT has it all and more space and 500+ liter boot and drives beautifully even after 7 years...
If your benchmark is a 2017 Honda city It's gonna take atleast a lower spec Fortuner/highest trim Hyryder/Creta n line to change your mind. Your car already does 80% of what any car in the 10-20L range can do.
50:00 I totally get Kartik here. Still stuck with our 2008 fusion+ 1.6 for the same reason. Nothing beats a good driving car. No sunroof, no air purifier, no dual zone ac, no AI assistant.
@@motorinc absolutely. My father in 2018 said we can only have one car, either this or a new s-cross. We could have been owner of two cars that were discontinued after 2 years of launch. Thank the almighty, owner of only 1 and the better one among them.
I love u both firstly this has made my Sunday morning wonderful and surprised by your Aircross impressions . Being brought to adulthood driving Gypsy King of my dad. Last year i was planning to buy my first car .i drove many cars of this segment most of them were wondering but i was having second thoughts on each car with price. Oneday i saw Aircross parked outside showroom and i didn't know about Citroen that time Next day took my pregnent wife for test ride. The moment i stepped into the vehicle i felt good and when I started driving it got better . My wife also said its a good looking car and its comfortable also . So after finishing the test ride and getting all the information about the vehicle and the price point . I was happy to pay price for plus varient monotone for the features it was providing ( i hope they changed the door handle in the next upgrade). Now first servicing done .. still im very happy with my buy . About my surprise part i never imagine that Sumi and Karthik will talk about Aircross on this day . I thought it will take time for Aircross . Thank you guys for the insight. All the things that said R TRUE on point. Its a fab vehicle to drive... just need more features to enjoy... Keep talking u both enjoyed every episodes.
@@motorincTHANKS 🤗I'm currently residing at Bengaluru, so I didn't do much for first service just a Call for appointment , they came on appointment date inspection was done and I was asked for any complaints and i did have one , I had some kind of sound coming from the driver side door, they took the note and left . I was getting updates with pics on WhatsApp about the vehicle, next day it got delivered since no oil or filter was changed , I was charged 0 ₹ . So overall I m happy with the service till now .
I recently had the opportunity to take the C3 Aircross AT for a test drive. The transmission, chassis, and overall driving dynamics were impressive. However, it was noticeable that the vehicle lacked several fundamental features.. Nice Review!
Been a listener of Motorinc First Impressions on Spotify for a few months now, and while waiting for new episodes am listening to This Connect too. Love the way both, Kartikeya and Shumi, discuss about automobiles and their passion towards it makes me want to listen more. The fact that both of them even acknowledge their past work and promote them sometimes also, is refreshing to see in this world of competition. Just listened to the latest episode today and as far as C3 Aircross goes, I wanted to suggest it so bad to one of my friends, who was in the market for an automatic Petrol car, but was hesitant because of the lack of VFM exactly like Kartikeya sounded. But good to see that Citroen has taken notice of these complaints and have said that they would update the range and come up with features like Automatic climate control later this year and a refresh of the whole line up next year which would see most, if not all, features incorporated in to the C3 lineup which, hopefully, will sweeten the deal. While Citroen has the legacy of making brilliant cars, I think they still haven't learned enough from parent group's sister brand Fiat and their lack of success in India. Someone should do a lessons learnt exercise within their org.
Update Sep 2024 : The new C3 Aircross now gets an automatic climate control, LED projector headlamps, rear AC vents, six airbags and a larger, sliding front armrest. The rear power window switches have moved from the centre console to the door pads, while the SUV also gets a new flip-key. It even have a 1.2 ltr NA engine. Most of the missings told in this video they have sorted out !!
Wow this is an amazing watch! I love their English, their articulation, their choice of words, their sense of criticism and detailing, their treatment of the car as though it were a living being, the incredible summary with effortless ease! Great value of my time! Keep up the good work guys!
I bought my 1st car(Ignis MT) a year ago, while on the hunt i checked out C3 and the base model was well with in my budget. While taking the test drive i loved the way the vehicle took on the broken roads, engine performance, space inside, only thing bothered me was the gear throw, it bit spongy and long compared to swift(i learned driving in swift so at that time it was benchmark) then there were some other misses like basic meter console, looked like borowed from some basic electric scooter but as i was targeting base model i was not bothered. But the one which made me to skip it was unavailability of central locking as option at dealership level, they have everything, music system with 10 inch, rear Camara, mobile holder, all the bells and whistles were available but the basic central locking was not in the list, which means everytime i park my vehicle i have do a pradikshana to make sure all doors are locked 😅. If i go for after market fitment it will void my warranty, which I didn't want as they just started their journey in India and didn't have appetite to take the risk. So at the end it was maruthi suzuki which had a product for my requirements fitting in my budget🙃
Hi Karthik, Same as you, i was also very excited about the C3 Aircross launch, C5 Aircross being beyond my reach, but was as disappointed as you are. I could literally feel your emotions, watching & listening to this conversation. I think it's time for me, in the coming months to own, a new set of wheels and i have again set my eyes on C3X (Basalt). Looking at C4X in European car reviews blogs, seems very enticing. Hope all the observations made in your video gets addressed with this upcoming C3X launch and i could be a proud french product owner. But before making any decisions, would definitely look forward to MotorInc's review/feedback on C3X. Also, for MotorInc's videos, keep up the good work. Keep giving genuine feedback about the vehicles, whether it's good or bad. Don't be biased or don't just make videos for the sake of paid promotions.
Shumi is like that roomate in college who hardly ever studies yet aces the exam. This "just a bike guy" thing is just a facade. Bikes may be his first love but he obviously knows a lot about cars, just doesn't show it here though Karthikeya does a great job with it nowadays. Loved the jugalbandi format as always. As for the product, had the Aircross AT come earlier, would've seriously considered it when looking for a basic 7-seater that was more powerful than the Triber. But I think it's priced a bit too high for the AT variants as its current competition's with the Xl6 and Carens (upto mid variant) as much as the Elevate as its like an RV/cross, positioned between the MUVs and SUVs. The blingier Cretas etc. are plying in a diff. segment.
This was a perfect upgrade 5 years back for someone who drove Etios. I loved my Etios. Every time I drove it, the space/comfort/power for the price was something else. It was engaging to drive. So, I was waiting for C3 Aircross with excitement, but what they did with C3 hatchback broke my heart. Still waited with hope for the c3 aircross, But they missed the beat again. For today's time you can't have window controls near central console. Not quirky but a stupid decision. No automatic announced at the launch. And must have had auto ac, auto folding orvm and ventilated seats. Would have been a complete package for the price.
Four days ago, I read an article stating that an upgrade is coming to C3, eC3, and Aircross in 2024. The deal for the C3 Aircross is expected to include auto climate control, an LED light package, keyless entry, button start, a cooled glove box, six airbags across the range, and a 360-degree camera setup. So I think Karthik's upset might decrease.
What I read was some of those things will come in 2024 like ACC, keyless entry, start stop etc. while other changes are being planned in the next year facelift.
But what's the point of it? Clearly with the way car prices are going up, those C3 Aircross will be priced just as much as the middle variants of other cars are priced at today. Therefore, Why even wait for it?
C3 aircross It just feels like a duster ,no nonsense on futures, just drive it just feel it, good cars never get good respect same with the c3aircross, don't go with futures they will make you lazy, great video brothers🎉.
Went to Citroën showroom at the end of this feb, c3 drives fabulous, great discounts too on last year make. Lady told me c3 facelift coming around autumn. Waiting to see if they improve it or not. TBH i would just buy this brand coz its rare to see on road.
And that is the reason the driving experience is more towards engine side, i think he have noticed mainly driving due to lack of other features, is it?
Frankly speaking, the only misses that I find are the positioning of the power window switches and the absence of central locking. This car has got the basics right, which are a powerful engine, fantastic suspension, and great driveability. In that sense I feel that I am very European. The only reason that prevents me from considering it for purchase is the sales figures. I do not want to be left in a situation where the company leaves India and I am left struggling for after sales support. I am already suffering with after sales of my Mahindra Mojo 300, and it is not a good experience. But many thanks for this podcast - I always love it when someone speaks about Citroen.
And that’s the vicious circle - unless it has all those “nonsense” features - it won’t be bought by most people. And so it won’t be bought by you. 🤷♂️
Citroen in my view has failed due to lack of advertising - not all Indian buyers are actually car enthusiasts, they need billboards, media advertising etc to take them to showroom. Also here cars are more of a status symbol than necessity so a car without keyless entry, sunroof etc will be looked down upon no matter how good the engine etc is.
i own a C3 turbo, bought last december. And did 5600km in 3months. i think this should tell you how much fun that car is... and i get the frustration "reaching there but not quite there yet...". However im over it cuz i got a great discount... so really happy.
Was waiting for this review. Have someone noticed that from the side, it looks like a fortuner especially in white color. At least for me. The ha ha and ieee from Shumi is entertaining. Such honest reaction.🤣🤣🤣🤣. For 5 seater you don't get rear ac vents. Does it have any effect on cooling? Shumi, how do you remember everything so clearly. Again Summary is on point and as usual 10 out of 10.
I am pretty sure I will go and take a test drive for myself. It sounds like a well engineered car and not a car with lots of unwanted bells & whistles. I guess this should be the benchmark. Looks like a proper replacement for my EcoSport. Plus the presentation as always is fabulous & well described.
Very well explained sir! I almost made my decision of buying this C3A but because of all the reasons you both nicely explained and also very important the reliability and services. I changed my decision and purchased Honda Elevate and this coming week will be taking the delivery. Lastly I never miss your videos. It’s very informative and helpful to make any kind of decision. Thanks
Superb! finally. I remember seeing a comment here by someone saying "Please review the C3 aircross before Citroen shuts shop and leaves our market!" You've finally made the video. Loved it!
Great perspective on the car. The updated Aircross got launched in September, pity the car is not available in the showroom in a city like Mumbai. How they expect conversions to happen
Test drove the Aircross today. Was a bit disappointed to see that the dealer did not have the updated aircross on display or as a test vehicle. Anyways, Kartikeya's judgement on the ride and handling was spot on. Loved the way it went over the bad bits. And also the fact that i too had to, in my short stint with the car, have to recaliberate the throttle input. The car seamlessly gathered speed with gentle taps on the accelerator. It was a fun ride. Wife in the backseat too approved of the ride. However, the door handle...and the fact that even with a remote door unlock feature, the top spec version still misses out on the push button start feature. Breaks my heart. This car had the auto start stop feature too, which worked flawlessly. They could put this feature in, but couldnt put in the push button and cruise control...😢 the build quality atleast on the outside for some reason seemed better on the basalt than on the aircross
The Indian market is bs. They'll say tata's and Mahendra's are best when everyone knows they are bs. With the amount of tax the government collects we are left with useless choices for both bikes and cars.
It is your perspective probably the BS, i agree Tata can do a better job with quality and performance, but they are the reason why a lot of premium segment features are now available in budget vehicles, where even pricey manufacturers have started giving those features bz they know they will lose out on a lot if they dont do what tata and mahindra is doing! Think before you comment buddy!
@@motorinc yep tata is bs Mahendra is lesser bs all they care about is getting 5 stars in gncap now bncap both of which are not even close to the ncap in first world countries. I love the safari every time I go for a test drive it reminds me why I shouldn't get one
First of all hats off for the wonderful work you both are putting together in a such a ruthless market of motors It's jus the Shu-Ka effect that I don't look for other channel reviews No jarring intro music no background music Sensitive mic to capture the passion when you speak Non distractive script. Points covered, interaction, more human aspect.. at last the humour in between. It's very casual.. You guys have set a benchmark in motor reviews. Zen of motoring reviews Now I test drove both c3 and c3 aircross. All valid points I can live with mediocre plastic I can live that Maruti 800 door handle But I'm.willing to pay for that engine, suspension and steering feedback and command I have.. Deisel engine, short clutch throw, power windows key placement and safty ratings with 6 airbags makes vw, skoda, nexa, Kia and others go for ride.
I am gona buy one amazing car man after test drive i fall in love with the the behavior of this beautiful machine... I am ignoring all the cost cuting thing if thay give such a mechanically shorted car for that price point and to do so thay do some cost cuting i will never mind it... And lote to learn with you guys just keep going....
Test drove both the manual and automatic Aircross. Liked the manual more. But definitely will end up going for an automatic for sure. Not a fan of gadgets, but wish to have the basic ones. I will buy the Aircross the moment I get the news that the power window controls are shifted from the middle and a foldable key is provided.
I am driving Renault Pulse 2013 pertol 1200 CC NA enginer,,, its absolutely stunning performance. so far 85k km ran out of which 75k petrol and 10k cng still loving it
Great conversation! Very interesting to see how they have packaged this car. My Brezza ZXI+ costs 14 lakhs too, and while it is clearly from a segment below it still gets a lot of the features that Citroen misses out on like keyless entry, non '1952' door handles, auto headlamps (LED), folding ORVMs, cruise control, 6 airbags and much more. Citroen have tried to make this 5+2 seat thing the USP but missed out on many features. I wonder how many people will choose to overlook these misses just for a car that is physically big. How big is 'value-for-money' for the consumer that is willing to spend money on a relatively new brand with a small service network.
I have purchased aircross topend manual transmission in jan first week It' a great car to drive, Yes it's missing fancy features, but it has a digital instrument cluster that looks nice and Android auto connectivity and hill start assist. I was using Honda City before this and was looking for an upgrade, most competition cars comes around 20-24 lac on road. except virtus gt , no other cars was memorable while test drive than aircross. Also citreon was giving 1.5 lac discount. So got it for 14 lac onroad price which is great value for money. Drove in Bangalore Mysore expressway, and the way car drives in higher speeds is enjoyable, stable and confidence inspiring. As karthikeya mentioned once you drive this car it's memorable. Drawback The car i got started showing a sound from engine bay while shifting gear from 1 st to second is annoying and service centre not able fix.
Hello! Since 2004, so far I have owned 9 cars and 2 motorcycles out of which the ones that I still have in my garage is the Esteem 1.3 Lxi 2007, a Thar CRDe 4x4 2011, a Tata Punch Petrol MT 2022 and of course a Himalayan 411 2018. The last two of which my son (22 years old) drives/rides more than me. Myself, 52 years old, a hobbyist Wildlife Photograher from Calcutta. So far I have clocked appx. 6,00,000+ km across India. Presently, I self-drive my Thar CRDe to my destinations just because of it's sheer presence that gives me quiet a edge while I keep driving through the remote areas and also for the reason being rugged, I don't hesitate to penetrate inaccessible terrains for photographying wildlife. The reason of this intro is to ask you, if C3 Aircross SUV MT can replace my present drive? To mention, that I am interested in a reliable, soild built MACHINE that drives well and not on features. I understand, there's no comparison between Thar 4x4 with that of Citroen or whatever, but I am looking for a reliable machine that can run day long (14-16 hours/day) and is comfortable to drive. Secondly, since my drive is mostly on Highways (appx. 3000-3500 km/trip on an average every 2 months), can I depend on Citroen's present service network accross the country? It will be a nice gesture from your end, if you reply....🙏
Owning a Citroen C3 has been interesting! As an early adopter, I can confirm everything you said about the car and Citroen as a company. The driving experience is incredible, particularly due to the exceptional suspension. It's a real head-turner (there are so few on the road that sometimes it’s mistaken for a Mini Cooper, I admit it's a bit of a stretch!). While features are on the minimal side compared to newer models, my friends with their 2024 Exters and Nexons may tease me, but ultimately, the unbeatable ride quality at this price point keeps me happy with my purchase.
Loved this episode! I hope Citroen is watching this! 1. An additional thing Citroen should do after improvising this features list in the facelift is market it properly. A lot of people didn't really notice the launch last time. 2. They have made countless blunders including (a) entering indian market with C5 aircross (b) not branding C3 as SUV (c) not revealing C3 aircross price during the launch (d) not understanding the buyers' aspirations 3. @MotorInc Karthik you initially mentioned that C3 aircross is almost there in terms of being the best at ride quality and you will cover it later. However I dont think you covered it. Which car has the best ride quality in this segment? 4. My current cars dont have a sunroof and I'd love to buy a C3 aircross with a panoramic sunroof. Dont judge me 😅
Hullo! Regarding 3 - he mentions it’s probably the best balance of comfort and handling in the segment. And he really finds it hard to pick between the Grand Vitara and the Aircross. But it might just be the Aircross. Hope that helps! Also - not judging. Your money. Your call.
I agree with all these points which are missing in the car .. if they provide all these features with additional one more lakh, it’s good seller .. I heard they are going to launch 6 airbag version
Took a test drive of Aircross. Their rep highlighted some updates coming in by September. The new 2024 variant has below updates: 1. Auto climate control with digital display. 2. AC vent in 2nd row. 3. Hand rest with storage. 4. More Refined engine taken from Basalt. 5. Window buttons on each doors and 2 additional on driver seat door. 6. Electronically controlled ORVMS. 7. Chances of wireless charging (accessory) And I am planning to buy this car. I'm in love with it. Aircross somewhat gives me a slight look of Range Rover. To me, the mechanics matter more than some features that I may never use. But we Indians are stupid enough to go for features just for showoff. Majority of us including me don't understand the dynamics of what a good car is.
Great discussion and Karthik's review was spot on. One of the simple things to think of for anyone- is it better to have a SUV that has superb handling, great engine, superb suspension and dynamics, with less features or vice versa? Because Citroen can always add more features in the next gen C3 Aircross, but if the SUV had lousy acceleration, lousy engine or poor handling and wasn't fun to drive, that would be a LOT harder to fix. Actually it would be impossible to fix those basics later. So as I see it, Citroen can improve on the feature list and have a winner on it's hand. Mind you, Jeep is also going to have it's next SUV on the same C cubed platform that the C3, C3 Aircross and eC3 share. So the platform is superb and gives a very good driving experience to the driver as well as the passengers. I own a C3 Aircross and I absolutely love it. Yes, a couple of features I wish it had were the auto folding ORVMs, climate control and stop/start button, but I can make do without those. Because when I drive my C3 Aircross, I actually enjoy it so much that the features it lacks fades away, sort of.
Thank you for sharing your experience @kartrak09 and to an extent, we agree with you. We do prefer cars with good driving experience and basic features to ones that have a lot of features with not-so-good driving experience. But, features are the welcome mat with which companies make customers want to check their car out. When a car is missing so many of them, it is fair to point that out and choose not to buy one too, if you ask us. So, we definitely would like Citroen to take another look at the C3 and plug the obvious holes that it has. They've gotten arguably the more difficult parts of this car right. So, it shouldn't be impossible for them to fix the easy bit.
@@motorinc which is exactly my point. Just look at the upcoming Citroen Basalt. It gets auto climate control, LED headlights, 6 standard airbags and some other features that the C3 Aircross missed out on. It's natural to assume that Citroen will add these features to the refreshed C3 Aircross model that will come by either this year end or early next year. 6 airbags will be standard on all Citroen models by end of 2024. Point being that features can be added, but the most important things that make the car a joy to drive, those are already present in the C3 Aircross. Once those features are present on the C3 Aircross, it will offer the most value for money 5+2 SUV option in the market.
I really felt the last minutes of your discussion. Its a good car to drive. I own max 5 seater. People won't buy this good machine because it didn't have push button, fancy door handles.. once you start driving all those features doesn't matter. I have only one word about driving it over 5K kms.. Brilliant!
Hey AG! Can’t tell you how happy we are to hear that! Do share service and cost - what your experience has been? Might give others the courage to step this way too.
I have a problem with the Music system when it connects to apple car play after playing for some time it starts to have this little pauses, did you face it too?
Motorinc....you guys are a gem, never saw this much passion in describing a car and a disappointment about how it's not gonna make it to the top in spite of having best driving. This passion is what makes passionates extremely sad or extremely happy. I am glad to you guys and let's hope someone from some company hq is listening and making few small decisions so we end up getting something we loved to have...cheers and great video. Thanks.
I remember the story of the Dacia Duster drive from Paris by Shumi during one of the old PowerDrift podcasts. It's very much relevant here too. We Indians often assume that all the features in Indian cars are the same as those in European models, without realizing that they have fewer features. Their priorities are different
You guys make it so interesting..... Don't know about Citroen...... But you both tune and sound so good 😊. I always wanted a rewiew on the Aircross. Thank you so much.
Ya he is not smiling but thanks for putting a smile on our faces with such calm , composed and cool podcasts.. More power to both of you . Pls continue these podcasts. I'm more than willing to pay a price to watch these podcasts😊
Since it drives so well, if we buy the top spec at 14 lakhs (ex-showroom) and add the necessary features (whatever possible) in third party accessories shop for another lakh. Is it value for money for the performance? and also does it have key remote atleast?
It's great to watch you two discuss cars, almost therapeutic. But I just feel the "confusion" and "proposition" about the C3 Aircross may have gotten overplayed here. It's a very simple decision - do I want my car to have all the features in the world but the drive itself is dull and un-engaging OR do I want to be always enthusiastic about taking it out for a spin - pulling the flap handles, or working the wiper stock notwithstanding? I'd choose the latter. Always.
Waiting for a version of the Citroen C3 Aircross automatic with the small additions/alterations as suggested, of course at a little more cost. What about a version with the Puretech 130 engine as in Europe? I might even buy the present one if the improved version doesn’t come along with in a reasonable time!
With the recent upgrades announced for C3 Aircross does it make it a more viable option? I test drive the C3 Aircross today. Not happy with the brakes as the front brakes were making a lot of noise in slow traffic. The company rep sitting next to me could not give me a satisfactory explanation for the same . But ride quality was good.
I had its test drive this Monday. Was a great experience on the driving front. Asked for the value of my current car. It's three days and they have not circled back. Wondering if the sales team is so laid back, how would the service team behave post sales. I want to buy this car, even with no aspirational needs fulfilled. But I get repelled on the thought of potential service challenges. Can Motorinc please comment on post purchase service experience?
Like driving the C3 was a memorable experience for you Karthikeya , listening to both of you is more than a memorable experience for us auto enthusiasts. I can't tell you how much you both mean to me in terms of knowledge that I get everytime I listen to you both! Superr job❤
As the corollary used, of Dacia Duster not being a feature rich car, aircross also falls in that category. I feel it's a fresh breath of air to have basic cars, which can be then changed / tuned once bought, thus providing a platform to play around. The engine, chassis and suspension are the most expensive things to change/tune, so if you have got that in place, then the car would sell
With the power window controls on the central console and no central locking mechanism, it's basic to the point of inconvenience though. Are we to write up every irritating quality to quirkiness, simply because it's French? As for Engine, it's a 3-cylinder engine with high NVH. Surely, it's not the most refined or smooth out there. I wouldn't say they have it "in place". This is too artisanal atm imo.
other things aside, whoever does the wardrobe for K and S does a fabulous job. They always look super sharp, their clothes suit their personalities, and the shoes are *chef's kiss*.
Please can you tell us about the information system and the quality of speaker and can you set a benchmark so that we can compare it to like let's rate creta 8/10 what would you say these will be and also can you attach a carrier to this vehicle legally because the company doesn't provide 1
I have the C3 Shine variant NA. It drives like a dream. It’s a no nonsense car in city and on highway. Don’t care about the feature. True engineer at heart appreciating well engineered car.
For folks who buy the base and mid variants of other cars, this car is a good contender. The basic con I feel is the lack of enough service stations in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. The basic design that ages well, without failures is a good start. The second con is the 3rd row design could have been more accomodating like ertiga. It's tough to compete with ertiga, but tiredness or body ache after a long travel is a problem with maruti cars.
Wish u went back to the dynamics pov and compared it with VW sisters. After all its a 3cyl Turbo petrol with TC AT with great driving dynamics. Engine, Trans, suspension, steering, balance and composure - should have been compared with Taigun/Skoda 1.0 AT
Hi Shumi & Karthik this is an insightful podcast. This is exactly what I felt when I drove it with some misses & I am ready to compromise on some features but had to step back due to lack of service network and other few reasons. I would like to see videos on premium hatchbacks like the i20, i20-N line & Altroz, Altroz Racer (if you have additional information). Hoping to see these videos soon on MOTOR INC.
Here i give you my side of the review, Bought the latest and updated version on dhanteras 2024. Got a great great deal, straight 2 lacs off on the top variant. And the best things 1. Window switches are on the right place. 2. Auto AC 3. 6 airbags 4. Kind of 4 star rating as basalt got it and they both the same platform. 5. Auto folding ORVM 6. Projector headlights All this at the same ex showroom price with huge discount Since then, have driven over 5k kms, absolutely loving driving it, cruzes at 100 like its just 60-70, parents ask me why are we going slow?, what can i tell them, i'm driving at 100. People ask me which model of bnw mini is this? And about mileage, i have different versions At 100 on highway it gives 16-18 At 65-70 it feel very slow, so i dont drive it at that speed The sweet spot, at 87 with two people and at 84-85 with loaded it easily gives 20-21 on highway (smooth highway) The only two things i miss is 1. Cruze control ( at it easily crosses 100-110 and affects mileage 2. The absence of actual evaporator coil in the roof ac unit, and the fan is very noisy and doesn't work at all.
I bought it too, a couple of weeks back... The top end automatic...I resonate with a lot of thoughts mentioned here... The sales or dealership experience wasn't very smooth as they kept postponing the delivery date... But finally they did and gave me almost 60k discount for the top end. The best part I liked was the app that helps control essential features of the car obd via the app. I really don't miss a sun roof or cruise control as I drive majorly in Bangalore traffic. The suspension has been super buttery smooth and the infotainment is just the right amount of digital needs without diverting the attention of any driver. The sound quality of the speakers is decent. The ergonomics is fine and my family has been raving about how it doesn't feel tired in bumpy journeys unlike in the amaze which we were used to... If I had to rant about some problems- then it would be about 1. quick to get dirty leatherette biege seats that require frequent foam cleaning. This could have been black instead 2. The brakes make a grinding sound especially while creeping in traffic( the service folks say it's a normal thing, I have no idea) 3.a mild hissing sound that appears while ignition is on every time(the service folks again said this is common in aircross and basalt). 4. The fit and finish at certain places in the interiors felt very sub par, had to get the service folks inspect and rectify them on the 4th day of purchase. 5. The engine does feel noisy like a diesel engine. I m really thankful for this particular podcast as it influenced me a lot into buying the car despite people telling me to buy conventionally overpriced ones with the same specs.... I ll keep u posted about the first service in the coming months... 😊 Thanks again schumy and karthik
Heard a news from citreon team that they are adding features. Indian head is in talks with there team to add few features like auto AC etc before festival season. Please note they have plans for a facelift due next year.
Update - Citroen will be offering their entire range with 6 airbags from July 2024. So that will be one step in the right direction.

I have the top model of this car with vibe pack.. have driven around 1000+ kms on this. Have to say.. this is the best value for money fun to drive car in the segment.
Completely unsurprised that you love it. And super happy to know it too! They have to get the visibility and appeal angle right.

We have been using the NA C3 for 2 years now. 20k kms done. You will be awestruck by the way it rides and handles . It has a nice touchscreen unit. Handles basics well. As a C3 Turbo owner I fell in love with the car just like shumi said.

Happy to hear that Sunil! Wish you awesome journeys!

High 5 for the Ignis!

The blingier Cretas etc. are plying in a diff. segment.
Thanks for sharing your take KS!
See, that word - heartbreak. It is. It needn’t have been.
Bit by bit? Makes us sad.
@@motorinc True, as Shumi said, they are learning in their 1st innings. Hope they will get a chance in their 2nd innings.

@@motorinc yeah!

Yes bmw x1 and Dodge got similar door handles
typical indian bother too much ny the door handle.. 😄
How different is turning a key to start the car vs the push button 😮

Why is it BS? It’s what we make of it.
I'm impressed the way Kartik has described the car. I'm itching to test drive it now.
Do it if you're on the market for one @aksrawat, let us know what you thought.
Play at the speed of 1.25
LoL, I watched this on 2x speed…😂…!
Same here bro, just waiting for it from a long time😢
I am driving Renault Pulse 2013 pertol 1200 CC NA enginer,,, its absolutely stunning performance. so far 85k km ran out of which 75k petrol and 10k cng still loving it
Great conversation!
Yessah! That’s exactly it.
I have purchased aircross topend manual transmission in jan first week
It' a great car to drive,
Yes it's missing fancy features, but it has a digital instrument cluster that looks nice and Android auto connectivity and hill start assist.
Drawback
The car i got started showing a sound from engine bay while shifting gear from 1 st to second is annoying and service centre not able fix.
Hey NK! Thanks so much for sharing your garage partners with us! ❤️
Sorry to hear about the issue. Would love to know how/when it is resolved.
How is the after sales service in Bangalore? I’m from Bangalore as well and thinking to buy this.
I felt like I drove Aircross in real.. well explained and in very detail.. keep going .. all the best..thanks 🎉🎉😊
Thank you for watching @shajivasu572.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your motoring life. What’s the service experience been like?
@@motorinc it’s good for the most part! I’d give it a 7/10.
I totally agree with you, lots of people have asked me directly "is this mini cooper?"😂
Loved this episode! I hope Citroen is watching this!
1. An additional thing Citroen should do after improvising this features list in the facelift is market it properly. A lot of people didn't really notice the launch last time.
2. They have made countless blunders including (a) entering indian market with C5 aircross (b) not branding C3 as SUV (c) not revealing C3 aircross price during the launch (d) not understanding the buyers' aspirations
Your money. Your call.
got it, thanks!
I agree with all these points which are missing in the car .. if they provide all these features with additional one more lakh, it’s good seller ..
I heard they are going to launch 6 airbag version
Yes!
Took a test drive of Aircross. Their rep highlighted some updates coming in by September. The new 2024 variant has below updates:
1. Auto climate control with digital display.
2. AC vent in 2nd row.
3. Hand rest with storage.
4. More Refined engine taken from Basalt.
5. Window buttons on each doors and 2 additional on driver seat door.
6. Electronically controlled ORVMS.
7. Chances of wireless charging (accessory)
And I am planning to buy this car.
The last part "love of driving" loved it.
❤️
I really felt the last minutes of your discussion. Its a good car to drive. I own max 5 seater. People won't buy this good machine because it didn't have push button, fancy door handles.. once you start driving all those features doesn't matter. I have only one word about driving it over 5K kms.. Brilliant!
Hey AG! Can’t tell you how happy we are to hear that! Do share service and cost - what your experience has been? Might give others the courage to step this way too.
I have a problem with the Music system when it connects to apple car play after playing for some time it starts to have this little pauses, did you face it too?
@@SohailAmin using Android . Not faced this issue.
Thanks.
Also "Snatching defeat from the jaw of victory" 😂😂😂
We can do our part. 🤞🏽 for the rest.
i have the last generation duster , 110 hp diesel. it is a joy to drive. its so stable even at 140.
Glad to hear that you had a good time @SuperVengal! Thanks for sharing...
Since it drives so well, if we buy the top spec at 14 lakhs (ex-showroom) and add the necessary features (whatever possible) in third party accessories shop for another lakh. Is it value for money for the performance? and also does it have key remote atleast?
It has remote key. Yes, you surely can. Do let us know how it goes! Would love to know more.
@@motorinc sure 😊
Most underrated auto channel in India.Kudos to the team in making such awesome content.
Thank you so much!
This is the most perplexed I've ever seen Karthik. You guys might have had a lot of fun time filling this one.
😬😬
It's great to watch you two discuss cars, almost therapeutic. But I just feel the "confusion" and "proposition" about the C3 Aircross may have gotten overplayed here. It's a very simple decision - do I want my car to have all the features in the world but the drive itself is dull and un-engaging OR do I want to be always enthusiastic about taking it out for a spin - pulling the flap handles, or working the wiper stock notwithstanding? I'd choose the latter. Always.
Thanks for letting us know your thoughts @autorevv.
Waiting for a version of the Citroen C3 Aircross automatic with the small additions/alterations as suggested, of course at a little more cost. What about a version with the Puretech 130 engine as in Europe?
I might even buy the present one if the improved version doesn’t come along with in a reasonable time!
Hullo! 6 airbags will come in July.
I am literally in to the video 2min and i have heard so many "right"s by Karthik sir.. fun apart love your unique way of reviewing...
🤦 Going to show him this!
Just loooove the intro track. Content from MotoInc is what I always wait for any vehicle I want to get details about. You guys are doing amazing.
That’s a bit of déjà vu… how did this happen?
hi what about wet belt issue in 1.2l puretech engines , are they resolved in gen 3
Superr job❤
Thanks for being with us RS! Appreciate it!
Yes, it should not be inconvenient.
other things aside, whoever does the wardrobe for K and S does a fabulous job.
Hullo AR, If Creta sound system is 8, this will be a 6 at most. Touchscreen is good. No complaints.
Just chanced on this channel. Have been Schumi's fan from BSM days. Keep it up.
I enjoy the statements made by these gentels... Loving them both
I have the C3 Shine variant NA. It drives like a dream. It’s a no nonsense car in city and on highway. Don’t care about the feature. True engineer at heart appreciating well engineered car.
Thank you for sharing @gauravkumarporichha8146.
This does make me excited for the future versions of this vehicle, just like husqverna
Yes! And they have very exciting idea planned. 🤞🏽
Thanks for your feedback!
Wish u went back to the dynamics pov and compared it with VW sisters. After all its a 3cyl Turbo petrol with TC AT with great driving dynamics. Engine, Trans, suspension, steering, balance and composure - should have been compared with Taigun/Skoda 1.0 AT
Another Sunday morning cup of coffee with my two most favorite voices on the planet. Going for a test drive now! 🫠
Look forward to hearing from you after the drive!
Here i give you my side of the review,
Bought the latest and updated version on dhanteras 2024.
Got a great great deal, straight 2 lacs off on the top variant.
And the best things
1. Window switches are on the right place.
2. Auto AC
3. 6 airbags
4. Kind of 4 star rating as basalt got it and they both the same platform.
5. Auto folding ORVM
6. Projector headlights
All this at the same ex showroom price with huge discount
Since then, have driven over 5k kms, absolutely loving driving it, cruzes at 100 like its just 60-70, parents ask me why are we going slow?, what can i tell them, i'm driving at 100.
People ask me which model of bnw mini is this?
And about mileage, i have different versions
At 100 on highway it gives 16-18
At 65-70 it feel very slow, so i dont drive it at that speed
The sweet spot, at 87 with two people and at 84-85 with loaded it easily gives 20-21 on highway (smooth highway)
The only two things i miss is
1. Cruze control ( at it easily crosses 100-110 and affects mileage
2. The absence of actual evaporator coil in the roof ac unit, and the fan is very noisy and doesn't work at all.
Sounds like you're having an awesome time @MrPawanlalwani! Glad to hear that, what do you think of the service so far?
If I had to rant about some problems- then it would be about
1. quick to get dirty leatherette biege seats that require frequent foam cleaning. This could have been black instead
2. The brakes make a grinding sound especially while creeping in traffic( the service folks say it's a normal thing, I have no idea)
3.a mild hissing sound that appears while ignition is on every time(the service folks again said this is common in aircross and basalt).
