    The amount of knowledge and tutorials on TH-cam is incredible. The cure for cancer is probably going to be in a YT tutorial one day.

      Hey hey. Thank you very much Jam,
      Indeed. If you happen to find the right videos, TH-cam can be such a source of knowledge. I love it!

    Brilliant. Again a great tutorial. Lots of tech info very well explained. No shortcuts that we see in other tutorials where 'teachers' often say "thats close enough to reality" when things are miles off. Too many people out there are teaching that 'close enough' is ok for clients so it's great and refreshing to see that someone takes pleasure in getting things spot on. Im learning loads from your Diamond series and would love to see how you go about lighting diamonds.

      Thank you very much for your positive feedback Jason. There are quite some "good enough´s" in there. But I would consider those really good enough!
      So cool to hear that you like my content and learn from it. Its the best compliment one can get!
      PT 2 will be more about materials but also a bit on lighting. Working on it already 🙂

    Fantastic again. I think this the first time I’ve watched a tutorial that has modelled polygons from splines as you showed 😊

    Did not notice anything with the audio. Btw for a line: Did you know, you can flatten out a helix? 😛 Just set the both radius to Null and even play with the subdivision.

    • @SilverwingVFX
      @SilverwingVFX  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was smaller sections where some portions of it were muted somehow.
      I just wanted it to be properly done for future viewers.
      And ha ha ha, yeah. Lets please all comment on this vid here again. I need my comments 😁 😇

    Thank you! Great insights about dispersion and absorption. Can you tell me where I can download the scan model?

      Unfortunately its a long time ago that I downloaded this model. I can't remember where I got it from. Maybe someone else can chime in and provide a link?

      It was that way in old C4D versions. They seem to have changed that behavior in the newer releases.

    Hey great tutorial, i have a problem at 16:24 where you select the edges but you forgot to mention how you got rid of them. I tried Melt and Dissolve but they dont work as intented

    • @SilverwingVFX
      @SilverwingVFX  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, thank you very much for your message. Sorry to hear that you ran into problems.
      Dissolving the edge works pressing M then N with the Edges to dissolve selected.
      Maybe you have to scale the upper and lower points from the cut (girdle) in Y to make the slope consistent!
      Its hard to explain via text but I sincerely hope this helps you ✨

    Thanks a lot for grate tutorial. I have a request if possible please share tutorial how to modeling hard surface object with text and icons with perfect mesh.

    • @SilverwingVFX
      @SilverwingVFX  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much for your comment and your request.
      It definitely would make for a good tutorial SDS modeling a hard surface object.
      I shy away from that a little bit as its so much work.
      In the mean time you could check John Dickinsons channel. He has also superb modeling video for both C4D and Blender:
