If anyone wants to learn even more about the Wardens I’d highly recommend reading or listening to “The Calling” and “Last Flight” books. I played the first three games a few years ago but wanted more of the lore so I decided to listen to the all the books. Those two really stood out to me as I always found the Warden and dark spawn rivalry one of the best plot points in the Dragon Age universe. In the Last Flight you learn a lot about the Fourth Blight which occurs a few hundred years before origins. It is one of the most emotional books I’ve ever read or listened to, it deep doves into the relationship between the Wardens and their beloved companions the Griffins. The characters are fantastic and full of personal flaws that make them feel very realistic.
Since back in 2008 when dragon age journey mini game came out before origins my gamertag has always been thelastwarden due to my deep love and appreciation for the Grey wardens. I always said if the first warden is the leader of them all, then the last warden will be their storyteller.
