It has some tenor-ish vibes to it as well … it's an alto, yes, but with a complex and thick yet smooth and inviting sound. This is not a mass produced instrument, this has heaps of personality.
I think the cone and bow are made of bronze not copper
I want to upgrade my tenor and possibly my alto. However I do not want to keep bouncing around. I want a FOREVER horn. From $4,000-$8,500 what Tenor, and what Alto (in your opinion) should I look to complete a one and done transaction?
What mouthpiece did you use and reed? Sounds superb!
Thanks so much 🙏 I play a Meyer 5m (which I bought at Palen maaaaany years ago) and the reeds are VanDoren red boxes.
Have you played the 2 voices soprano?
Ok, bring a new player, Maybe this is too much of a horn to buy, being a vintage type horn. Are there anything to get used to, is it free blowing?
It is free blowing. It's not too much of a horn, buy one!
