Samsung SHS-P718 Smart Lock - How to register

For those who are using Samsung SHS-P718 Smart Door Lock
Samsung SHS-P718 can be accessed by fingerprints, passcodes, smart cards, key tags and emergency keys.
In this video, we will instruct you how to:
- Initialize your lock to factory data;
- Register new smart card, key tags and fingerprints;
To change passcode, do the following steps:
- Press REG
- Key in "Old Passcode" (passcode after initialization is 1234) and *
- Key in "New Passcode" and *
- Press REG again to finish registration

How long or how many months does the battery last? If you’re away for on a long holiday and it turned off (empty batt)- it means you won’t be able to enter?

The batteries can last 9-12 months (10 entries a day). In case of empty batteries, you can use 9V battery from outside to temporarily power it, or use a backup mechanical key which is kept outside

Sir, how you can open the door with the other latch (above the electric latch), when you put the password and the RFID card just move the up latch?

are you able to unlock this with a Samsung phone using NFC? I presume its the same NFC the cards use?

I don't think so. Only DR708 AU has NFC function

Yes. There is a sound switch 0-1-2 at the back that you can change volume in second

Samsung DR708 can't use card or key tag. Instead you can use NFC from Android mobile to unlock

You can only reset it from inside. That means you have to get in first. If you forgot pincode, don't have any fingerprint or key tag registered, just use mechanical key. If you don't have key with you neither, the only way now is breaking it. It's designed for customers' security, strangers can't open
