my 8 month old goat was being castrated this past Friday.. he had to be done with a surgical procedure though.. after the surgery he was fine and still groggy.. i went up to check on him before i went to bed and then the next day i went to check on him and i found out he unexpectedly passed away.. we called the vet and they came out to see what happened to him because they were shocked on what happened.. they believe that he suffered from a blood clot but they can’t be 100% certain unless they took him and perform an autopsy.. 😔😕

Goats are very intelligent, learn and train very quickly and have exceptional memory. In all my years of having and helping others with goats, it was the goats that suffered a head trauma, such as dehorning, that did not want their head touched; they remembered the pain. Bet you did not know a new born kid can be litter box trained within 24-48 hours.

They love it and it's the best supplement and protein you can feed them as long as it is mold/mildew free. Subjected to sun, hay will lose its protein and nutrition value. Altering does not necessarily make a buck docile nor make better meat (if you are so inclined); it does however make for a fatty goat and meat. A check of the Bible will bare out the fact that "unblemished" males were required for eating. And NO, I can not eat what I have raised and named, not even my chickens. Actually i saw a doctor using this method on a neck skin tag/ growth once you tight a string around no more blood flow it will fall off no scar no pain just a stings feeling on the skin.
if it is wasps get a brown paper bag and stuff it with plastic bags to keep it puffed out. the wasps think its a hornets nest and they are afraid of hornets and will stay away.

It's the same as getting a cat or dog neutered. Except the process is far simpler. I don't think this would would on a dog much less a cat.

That is considered the best, most humane method. We will be using Burdizzo for any bucklings on our farm.
Cutting them *SHIVERS* I could never deal with that ever again..I took a one year old buck in to my vet and I had to hold him.Too yucky for this girl!

May Ann dehorning is inhumane. Disbudding before 2 weeks of age is safer and no blood.
