Welcome to my TerraFirmaGreg series. A nice "little" modpack centered around TerraFirmaCraft, GregTech, Create, AppliedEnergistics, and Gregicality Rocketry. Let's just have a good time and enjoy some modded Minecraft together.

Thank you for doing this series, my friend and I are going to start this in July and it’s hard to learn when all the play throughs are in Russian. You are awesome!
I knew that the quest book was translated but didn’t realize that all the play throughs are in Russian too!
If I recall correctly, you can cut your wheat, rye, ect with a knife to seperate the grain from the chaff, which will give you thatch.
Unless they changed that for this version of tfc.
It saves saves you grinding your grains twice and gives you free thatch.

quick question, why is distant horizons causing my game to crash when loading the mods? What was your method of adding the mod?
Sounds like a mod incompatibility. I know DH has some certain requirements. Take a look at the logs and find out what the culprit is.
@@Flurben when I attempt to launch it through 1.20.1 MC launcher it just gives me an error code "-1" not much to go off of.
You have to look at the logs in the Minecraft folder.
If you attack a wolf during the day then it just wakes up, stares at you, tries to intimidate you, and goes back to sleep. Pretty much me when someone tells me to get out of bed.

It's the nice to finally find someone who likes tfc, thank you for the good content! Also, 2 points:
1. The bed you were thinking is a multiblock structure, it used to be 2 straw blocks, then click with the leather (I don't remember if it has to be treated), you can't sleep, but it does set your spawn;
2. Be careful with the passive mobs, if nothing changed about that since i last played 4 years ago, pigs, sheep and cows used to generate with the chunk and not respawn naturally, so they used to be very precious, for meat and leather needs early game, before taming the farm animals, you were encouraged to hunt deer and bears, I've noticed a lot of changes so I'm not sure if that's still the case.

I remember something like that about animal spawning in the original 1.7 tfc but can’t find anything indicating no respawns in the 1.20 field guide. I’ll be careful though, respawns might be turned off as a part of tfg.
@@Flurben I think the reason the sheep didn't drop any wool is because you need to process the sheepskin.

There are boats in this pack. The simplest ones being kayaks.
It’s an addition with the Firma: Civilization add on. I didn’t see it in the quest book but it is in the TFC Field Guide which I fixed after episode 6.

Man, this mod is much harder when you play it by yourself, but you make it look so easier haha. Also, how are you able to use distant horizons mod? It's make the world look so much more beautiful, but whenever I add it, my game just crashes :(
This pack is definitely better with friends! Use the older version of DH 2.1.2 I think. The newest version broke compatibility with Iris/Oculus

Thank you for the support! TFC is a great mod! I’ve been following it ever since Spumwack (TheMinecraftMuse) made his let’s play back on version 1.7.
@@Flurben There is a standalone game called Vintage Story and i believe it was made by some of the old TFC devs. It's essentially everything TFC could be if it wasn't under Minecraft's restrictions. Its actually an amazing game and I'm very sad that more people don't know about it.
started playing the pack, found your channel while trying to learn how to smith, then started watching this and tell you hwat, moving from avg temp 9 to avg temp 11 with all my stuff and animals was not very fun
Gotta get set up in a good place before accumulating too much stuff! Moving is always a pain
u should invest in sound proofing

Amazing series man! Love to see it! My friend and I have been struggling through this modpack for about 5 months, and because there hasn’t been any English play throughs it was tough to figure out originally! (We just finally made it out of the steam age!) Thank you for making this series!
Thanks for the support! Hopefully it doesn’t take me 5 months, but seeing how slow the burn is I think it’ll be ep100 before I get to the steam age

I'm binging your videos! Great progression, great voice, funny content, not cheese 10/10 Minecrafter right here. Sad that the stream of videos may be impacted but will keep an eye out there for when they do... Ever considered streaming?
I think I’m physically incapable of cheese… I’m lactose intolerant! I do think my style may lead itself nicely into streaming, I’ll have to revisit that in the future :)
Just a little late and only halfway through the video. But iirc you can hold the barrel in your hand and right click on the water, it should fill up the entire barrel.

Hey what Version of the mod are you using? Because using the latest I'm simply unable to get straw from stone knife (other knifes work tho)
Huh… 0.7.12 is the latest version, the one I’m using. That’s odd that you’re not able to get straw, and it’s also odd how you’re not the first person to have the same issue. Maybe check the TFG GitHub or their discord to see if anybody has found a fix?
@@Flurben great idea I will do that, I thought it was because I removed some unnecessary but performance heavy mods and it somehow damaged the modpack?
@ompundir7539 hahaha that may be it 😂 I’m pretty sure it’s a base TFC mechanic though but I also know TFG has a lot of interplay between its mods.
@@Flurben welp looks like I already found the issue!, the problem is I was using tlauncher which sometimes breaks the script, thanks for the help tho and amazing content ❤️
