I don't understand why she is only charged with 2nd degree murder and not 1st. This is one of the most horrendous purposeful murders I have ever heard.
They have to be careful not to shoot too high and they can’t really prove premeditation. That’s what happened with Casey Anthony and they couldn’t prove that it was premeditated and then she got off for what she did.

During her interview detective had asked Sarah why the suitcase was facing down in the 1st video & up in the 2nd & Sarah said….. “ I flipped it over…..I didn’t want him to be like that” The detective then said..” How’d it get upside to begin with”? Sarah had no answer…She just put her palms up & shrugged her shoulders .
Same as when she put her son in a suitcase, posted it and was reprimanded by CPS informing her of danger in doing so. She KNEW what the end result would be for Jorge.

The suitcase was in a closet upstairs. Jorge was zipped in that case upstairs. Hence, the noise on the stairs the neighbor heard through the night, and, the contusions on Jorge's head and body. Sarah threw the suitcase with Jorge in it, down the stairs.

I question the fact that she called or texted Brian several times throughout that day and even once she went upstairs, leaving Jorge downstairs in the suitcase. I think in the middle of their drunkenness, she probably said to him how funny would it be if you fit in that suitcase , or said something to that effect , and he voluntarily got in , once in there she wanted to make him “ squirm” in her own words
She came up with the hide and seek story bc she wanted the narrative to be accidental / unintentional death .
Had this been true , she wouldn’t make multiple videos of flipped suitcase ,mocking him and denying him of freedom .

As per numerous accounts Boone drank and could probably hold her booze. She said she wasn't drunk and there is no blood alcohol level. Her drinking is a moot point.
