One of the best episodes of animated television that I’ve seen in the last two decades, and there has been some amazing animation from around the world in that time. Thank you for allowing me to relieve the the shock of this episode with you.
This episode was absolutely incredible. It's easily the best Marvel content in decades, if not ever. It was emotionally charged, tragic, and beautiful.
I'm of the opinion that this episode is not just one of the best X-Men stories in animation, but one of the best X-Men stories full stop.
Also from the moment in the first episode reaction where you said how much you liked gambit, every-one watching gritted their teeth in preparation for this episode...
I know I literally said out loud “oh no” when she was talking in the first episode about gambit.
When the source material is adapted correctly this is what you get. Fox messed up the Phoenix saga twice in the movies. How do you do that?
@@blackyvertigo hopefully Marvel will get it right. You can't do the Phoenix saga in just one movie. You need to build to that.
I have been dreading this episode for you. I rarely get emotional at movies and series, but this episode completely broke me it was soulcrushing to say the least :D
This episode was my favorite episode of TV this year hands down. It hit us all hard. My brother (56) and myself (51) were both in tears at the end of the episode.
30:57 LMAO! 😂
"Stop it!"
Gambit has been my favourite X-Man since i was a kid and the team being back on screen felt like old friends coming back so to lose one
I was devasted and cried so hard after 😭 this.
We all cried during that moment I'm sure. I can't even remember a show in the past that was to this level.
It hurts every time. I watched it the night it came out, I rewatched it the next day, I’ve watched all the usual reactors watch it, and it still hurts every time.
@@thedoubletake8648 Same here.
❤
Such an amazing journey.
thanks for such an honest reaction. I love these characters like childhood friends, it's comforting to know others feel the same.
9/11 "Never forget"
E-Day "Remember it"
So many historical parallels in this episode and more yet to come.
and then there is M day......
Tulsa Massacre "We made you forget it"
@@solblackguy That's why I love fiction so much. Sometimes it's a pathway to bigger thinking and awareness of a bigger picture. As a non-black American, I actually did not know about what happened in Tulsa. That is until I watched Lovecraft Country and the Watchmen TV series.
People keep saying "woke' like it's a bad thing. Hmmm, wonder what the objective could be.
This ending was a draggg of emotions. It reminds me of Wanda telling Vision's dead body "I can't feel you." Truly heartbreaking
The creator said that he wanted this series to match a bit of what it was like to be a 90s kid. The fantasy of before, the cartoons, and then we start getting older and there's racism, phobias, and then this was our 9/11. The moment we realize this series isn't just some cartoon but will be hitting some hard notes.
He wanted it to feel like 9/11 specifically I seem to remember him saying.
i mean... they had what looked like they killed off Morph on the first episode in the original series.
Aw, girl... long time reader of the comics (since '75) Your reaction really hit home. But know this from an old head: X- men always find a way back...!
I watched this episode a hundred or more times and I still tear up but one thing I missed before that I caught this time was Madeline Prior saying to Rogue, "luckily you guys could spare a Jean (gene)."
THE WRITERS ARE DIABOLICAL GENIUSES!!!
I mean, it made me think, were we watching this calibur of television with the original series as kids??!
Great reaction, Angela. New fan and subscriber here.
Has anyone ever told you that you are a beautiful soul? You need to know if you don't already.
Thank you.
15 million.
That's how many mutants perished when the Wild Sentinels attacked Genosha.
kevin bacon is Sebastion Shaw.
I wasn't ready. This hurt me to my core and had me in a zombie-like trance for a while. I never expected this level of devistation/drama.
This episode....so much pain, and so much emotion 😭 No wonder this episode is nominated for an Emmy this year; all the VA's, especially Rogue's, brought their A Game.
"I can't feel you" is the exact line Wanda says to Vision in WandaVision, and it's that same line in this show that is instantly devastating when it relates to Rogue and Remy.
😭😭😭 🥺🥺🥺
