The downside of watching the full length is that we missing the amazing edits the editor puts in. I have to watch some reactions twice to get the full experience lol.
Channing Tatum: *Finally seeing his lifelong dream of playing Gambit come true, in comic book accurate costume, too. Literally the highlight of his career.* You: "Oh, I'll take Gambit, but not Channing Tatum Gambit." Lmao
*I legit squealed in the theatre when Blade showed up watching this with friends & was soundly mocked the rest of the movie. They didn't understand & one of them in particular should have because 26 years ago his parents took us both to see the OG Blade movie as kids & now here we were watching him on the big screen again as grown men*
I think it references the scene where in Dr. Strange The Ancient One strands him on Everest. I expect one of the universes had a Strange who trying to get away fell into Void.
Sabertooth was played here by Tyler Mane, the original actor in the first X-Men. He's also played Michael Myers in the Rob Zombie Halloween films. But, also a former professional wrestler.
I saw this in the theatres in the first week of release and one of my first thoughts outside of the cinema was that you’d love this movie hehe. My three favourite moments of your reaction was when Blade showed up (I squealed like a fangirl first time hehe), when Logan first dawned the mask (and I laughed at your reaction of him shirtless heh), and your F-U to Madonna copyright strike! My Friday is now complete!! You’re awesome as always! The generous thanks is for some more wine ;) Take care!
Tatum has a lot of love for the character Gambit. He has familial ties to Cajun country through his dad, so he has a great familiarity with the accent. Pretty much everyone from that area that I’ve seen give their impression on his accent says he did a good job. In a similar way to Reynolds he had his comic passion project he tried for years to get made with Gambit that just never happened. Maybe this will end up his “leaked test footage” moment?🤷🏻♂️
When Pyro said Cassandra's name for the first time, I had a little smile and eyebrow raise, because Aaron Standford played in the "12 Monkeys" tv show where his love interest was named Cassandra. 😊
I am a diehard fan of Gambit. He’s literally my favorite comic book character of all time. I cannot express just how excited I was when I saw him in the theater. It’s about damn time we got a proper live action Gambit.
FYI Gordon Reynolds is Ryan's fake twin brother. You should check out a few skits of his skits with Ryan being interview/roasted by his "twin" Gordon. Its hilarious.
@@GreatOutdoors1 I think it's more the fact that Logan finds the idea that Wade is willing to fight him, again, over something as dumb as a petty argument is so ridiculous he can't help but laugh.
Thank you, Hugh Jackman for being our Wolverine, Logan is an incredible character, always willing to die for the people he cares for. The few they are, they are everything to him.
Channing Tatum is actually from Louisiana in real life. He grew up with folks who spoke with that Cajun accent. I wasn't a fan at first, but after I heard him talk about reading XMen comics as a kid and how Gambit was always his favorite superhero because he also is Cajun, I flipped. With a proper budget and enough prep time, I think he could play the lead in a really great Gambit film.
It's spot on as far as I can tell, Cajun is famous for being fast paced and a bit monotone, to the point that it is one of the accents that is "infamous" irl for being "impossible to understand".
I can’t begin to express how much I loved this movie. As a die hard fan of the X-Men movies (they’re the reason I’m into anything superhero related), this was such a fun and kind of heartfelt finale to that era.
Mary Puppins was actually the winner of the most recent World's Ugliest Dog. This movie was super fun, and I don't believe "doper" is a word in the way you used it, lol.
Not to mention the Saskatoon reference. Saskatoon is two hours north of Deadpool's hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan. I live in Saskatoon actually......lol. I have yet to see that Timothy guy though. 😂
Something I really appreciated about this movie was the opening credits. Deadpool 1 and 2 had the credits at the very end and I was never a fan of that, but this time they acknowledged everyone just like James Gunn did with the Guardians franchise. The quality took me by surprise because this is a Deadpool movie. Deadpool 1 and 2 were made to intentionally look like total CGI, but with the MCU involved they had to raise the bar. It paid off more than well. Also, I don’t think the MCU was necessarily at a low point except with Secret Invasion. Most of the projects they revealed after Endgame were pretty excellent. Guardians Volume 3 and Loki season 2 helped pick up the slack and more. What I was most excited for was for you guys to see Laura again. Dafne Keen was only 10-11 years old when she worked on Logan 2017 which was her big acting debut. Now she’s 19 and after all these years she can still channel that rage. Dafne had doubts as to whether she would be able to portray Laura the same way or better. Now that she’s back, she actually wants to continue with her role. Before my sister and I went to see this movie on opening weekend, I joined for her first time watching Loki season 2. I especially wanted her to see Ke Huy Quan, and like me his character O.B. ended up being one of her favorites. The reactions paid off after seeing the new and improved TVA have a role. By the way, this is the second X-Men film to have Bye Bye Bye. The first one was X-Men 2. However, that’s not Ryan Reynolds in the suit. That was a pro dancer who needed to come up with the choreo as fast as he could. And finally, there are two variants in the Deadpool Corps that I wanna acknowledge. First, English soccer player Paul Mullin appeared as Welshpool. He currently plays in the Welsh club Wrexham which is co-owned by Ryan. You can also see Paul in the doc series Welcome to Wrexham. Our second mention is none other than Tom Holland’s brother Harry. He got to portray his own take on the merc with the mouth. They call him Haroldpool.
X-Ellent reaction Angela! I've been waiting for your reaction to this since it became available on digital and damn!!!!....it was totally worth it!!!!! Your enthusiasm in your reactions are always infectious (in a good way of course)! It was so freakin' awesome to hear you sing "Like A Prayer" like you sung "Shoop" in your (the first) "Deadpool" reaction, nice job!! Everything about this movie just freakin' rocks and kicks ass! It's hard to find chemistry/friendship like Ryan and Hugh have and they both went above and beyond in their roles. Seeing Henry Cavill's "Cavillrine" was so unexpected.....the theater I saw this in went apes*** when we realized he was a Wolverine!! Seeing Chris Evans again as Johnny Storm (Human Torch) was awesome and again, major pops in the theater! Also, seeing Wesley Snipes and Jennifer Garner the theater popped like crazy!! Again, great reaction Angela!! Keep up the great reactions as always and many blessings to you and yours!
When I heard Iris by Goo Goo Dolls this became the perfect movie. Being from Buffalo, NY, The Goo Goo Dolls hometown, I love that their music is still popping up and makes you feel the same thing every time you hear it. It's really worth watching their live performance of it at home in Buffalo while it's downpouring.
Fun fact: Ryan Reynolds' whole immediate family was in this movie. Ladypool was played by Blake Lively, his wife, Kidpool was played by their daughter, and Babypool was voiced by their new baby (the one that Nicepool referenced when he mentioned that Ladypool had just had a baby).
Wolverine is 5' 3" in the comics. I'm 5 foot three. If I was ripped with muscles and could act, I probably could have played Logan/Wolverine. I have enough body hair. Just give me a hairpiece. "Let's f**king go."
Channing Tatum has been trying to get a Gambit movie made for about as long as Ryan Reynolds fought to get a Deadpool movie. He killed it and deserves more.
Blake Lively is Lady Deadpool. Cowboy Deadpool is Matthew McConaughey, Headpool is Nathan Fillion. 2 of Reynolds' kids are Deadpools, Kidpool and the voice of Babypool
Ryan Reynolds was born for this role, maybe even moreso than RDJ with Iron Man. You can tell that he has a genuine love for the character and the universe. I can never imagine anyone else in the role anymore. All of those ancient Fox MCU movies getting their proper send-off was a love letter to the fans and some amazing closure for their characters that we never really got from their films. We now have a direct tie-in for mutants to the MCU, and they have SO MANY stories they can tell that haven't been done yet.
Ryan actually wrote in all the Deadpools loving Peter because rob, the guy who plays as Peter lost his son a few years ago, and Ryan showed him love by having Peter be a legend in every version of Deadpool. It's really sweet
My daughter (15) swears EVERY dog is cute. I texted her her next dog is gonna be whatever Dogpool is (Chinese Crested?). She called immediately. *"NOOOOO!!!"*

Another fun fact: Yes, the "big guy" is referring to Kevin Feige. When they were going through the script and got to the bit about "pegging", Feige knew what it was, but others in the room didn't and he had to explain it to them.
"I want Gambit in live action but I don't want it to be Channing Tatum."
Me: "We'll see if you change your mind by the end of this."
That edit with the lyrics was awesome! Nice work editor!!
Huge props to your editor. The bus window ad for your merch made me literally laugh out loud😂
yes I loved that! :D
That was impressive!!
Damn, you are so lucky to have an editor as good as he is. That editing during the copyrighted song... I had to try and remember if those words were in the actual movie because he edited them in so well.
“Like A Prayer” edit was BRILLIANT!!! Well done, Xander.
The downside of watching the full length is that we missing the amazing edits the editor puts in. I have to watch some reactions twice to get the full experience lol.
Xander
@@queenannsrevenge100 oh, is it Xander? Oop., I’ll fix it.
- Ryan Reynolds is 47, so definitely from my generation (turning 46 at Halloween day).
- Gordon Reynolds is just Ryan trolling everyone 😆
Channing Tatum: *Finally seeing his lifelong dream of playing Gambit come true, in comic book accurate costume, too. Literally the highlight of his career.*
You: "Oh, I'll take Gambit, but not Channing Tatum Gambit."
Lmao
Except his eyes. The reason his parents abandon him and why it kicks starts his path.
@@jjkm17 They can turn black and red when he gets angry. Will that help?

*I legit squealed in the theatre when Blade showed up watching this with friends & was soundly mocked the rest of the movie. They didn't understand & one of them in particular should have because 26 years ago his parents took us both to see the OG Blade movie as kids & now here we were watching him on the big screen again as grown men*
The look on your face, when Blade walked in ................. priceless.
Blade in the void confuses me, how has he survived without his serum? Eventually without it he'd have to on someone
Everyone says "Strange" when Cassandra Nova says, "Amateur Magician," but my first worry was "Ned".
Or Wong. He was literally in She-Hulk and a witness in a case with an amateur magician
I think it references the scene where in Dr. Strange The Ancient One strands him on Everest. I expect one of the universes had a Strange who trying to get away fell into Void.
That first !! Thank you , no way she got Strange right ??❤😂
@@THG-3141I was thinking it was the amateur magician himself from that show
@@wikidclownchris I would agree, but that sling ring has infinity stones in it
Sabertooth was played here by Tyler Mane, the original actor in the first X-Men. He's also played Michael Myers in the Rob Zombie Halloween films. But, also a former professional wrestler.
And he picked on Joe Dirt.
Loved the fake-out where Cris Evans shows up and he's Johnny Storm, not Steve.
Nooo wayyy!!! Oh, I did not expect this! Let’s _fucking GOOOOOO!!!_
I was impressed with the editing on "Like a Prayer".
Kudos Sandra!
“I dont want Channing Tatum as gambit, i really don’t”
Me in deadpools voice: You fucking what 🤨
I saw this in the theatres in the first week of release and one of my first thoughts outside of the cinema was that you’d love this movie hehe.
The generous thanks is for some more wine ;)
Take care!
Thank you!!!
@@funnylilgalreacts Most welcome
Tatum has a lot of love for the character Gambit. He has familial ties to Cajun country through his dad, so he has a great familiarity with the accent. Pretty much everyone from that area that I’ve seen give their impression on his accent says he did a good job.
In a similar way to Reynolds he had his comic passion project he tried for years to get made with Gambit that just never happened. Maybe this will end up his “leaked test footage” moment?🤷🏻♂️
I loved the little Fox montage at the end. It was a thank you and a proper send off for that era of Marvel.
When Pyro said Cassandra's name for the first time, I had a little smile and eyebrow raise, because Aaron Standford played in the "12 Monkeys" tv show where his love interest was named Cassandra. 😊
I've just re-watched all of 12 Monkeys and not only did I not catch that but this is the first time I've realised that's who was playing Pyro!
I am a diehard fan of Gambit. He’s literally my favorite comic book character of all time. I cannot express just how excited I was when I saw him in the theater. It’s about damn time we got a proper live action Gambit.
Yes! Don't think I've ever clicked on a video faster! I'm so excited!
FYI Gordon Reynolds is Ryan's fake twin brother. You should check out a few skits of his skits with Ryan being interview/roasted by his "twin" Gordon. Its hilarious.
The moment Ryan says, "I'm going to fight you now." That was one of the coldest deliveries I've heard from him.
I love the way Jackman laughs in his face over that line and then instantly turns into murder mode as soon as he gets bopped in the nose.
@@patrickwaldeck6681 I thought that made no sense since they had just had a massive fight where Deadpool was holding his own.
@@GreatOutdoors1 I think it's more the fact that Logan finds the idea that Wade is willing to fight him, again, over something as dumb as a petty argument is so ridiculous he can't help but laugh.
@@patrickwaldeck6681 A petty argument? You don't deconstruct and roast a person that horribly and still have it be considered 'petty'.
Logan pushed the Vanessa Button. You don't insult Vanessa in front of Wade.
Channing Tatum has been trying to be gambit for like 15 years. Cool it finally happened
Thank you, Hugh Jackman for being our Wolverine, Logan is an incredible character, always willing to die for the people he cares for. The few they are, they are everything to him.
Thanks!
The Gambit was actually the best Cajun accent I've heard also, Channing tatum wanned that role since he was a child !! And he did GREAT❤
Channing Tatum is actually from Louisiana in real life.
This was a great movie. I’m so glad I saw it in the theatre and avoided spoilers before watching.
I wish I could do theater reactions, best of both worlds
Your editor deserves a praise for that extra effort
Gambits accent was spot on but was told to be unintelligible for comedic reasons
I understood every word that wasn't exclusively in French. I guess some people just aren't as used to the south as others.
@@arinleoczko1250I guess I've seen enough Gambit from the 90s tv show because I understood it all.
It's spot on as far as I can tell, Cajun is famous for being fast paced and a bit monotone, to the point that it is one of the accents that is "infamous" irl for being "impossible to understand".
Was so ready for you to do this reaction!! Let's F...in Go! 🤘
I can’t begin to express how much I loved this movie. As a die hard fan of the X-Men movies (they’re the reason I’m into anything superhero related), this was such a fun and kind of heartfelt finale to that era.
Her priceless reaction was the exact same for Blade that everyone had in the theater when I saw it.
All the alternate Wolverines (excluding the comic accurate and HC) were comic references. They were amazing.
I was shocked to see Age of Apocalypse Wolverine.
Putting an ad on the side of the bus for your merch store was genius. Well played Xander.
Mary Puppins was actually the winner of the most recent World's Ugliest Dog. This movie was super fun, and I don't believe "doper" is a word in the way you used it, lol.
I'm pretty sure it was Britain's ugliest dog.
Canada all over this movie. From Ryan to Avril to The Wolverine, this movie is Canada
@@Wicketor director is also Canadian.
Not to mention the Saskatoon reference. Saskatoon is two hours north of Deadpool's hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan. I live in Saskatoon actually......lol. I have yet to see that Timothy guy though. 😂
Wow, you've upgraded your set! Very nice! Haven't watched much since BSG ended, so this is new to me!
It's new for everyone!
Thank you for captions
In my cinema showing, a young girl not far from me got up and started crying when "Steve" showed up.
The high point of this was the absolute joy on your face when Blade showed up. Awesome watching along with you!
Cmonnn. Channing is the best!!!! Such a great dude and has so much passion for the role ❤
Emma Corrin was _so_ well cast. Not only does she do an excellent job in the role, she's practically identical to James McAvoy.
43:25 This is why he is my favorite Marvel superhero of all time!! My man Wolverine!!!!! 🙏🏽💪
Thank you Angela. It's such a privilege to watch your reactions and this was no exception; so much fun and such a great time being here with you 😊
When I heard Iris by Goo Goo Dolls this became the perfect movie. Being from Buffalo, NY, The Goo Goo Dolls hometown, I love that their music is still popping up and makes you feel the same thing every time you hear it. It's really worth watching their live performance of it at home in Buffalo while it's downpouring.
Channing Tatum is actually a fantastic choice he comes from the same area that gambit technically does so it works great
Fun fact: Ryan Reynolds' whole immediate family was in this movie. Ladypool was played by Blake Lively, his wife, Kidpool was played by their daughter, and Babypool was voiced by their new baby (the one that Nicepool referenced when he mentioned that Ladypool had just had a baby).
That is one nice body for a lady that just had a baby
I screamed and cried, SO HARD spiritually when blade entered the screen
My entire childhood returned in that one scene
17:48..."That's fucked up...I love it." Words to live by.
The fact you thought it was a body double for Hugh's shirtless scene is an elite compliment
Elektra, Blade, and Gambit’s entrance is one of the best part in the “Best movie of the Year”.🔥
*”LFG”* ❤️💛
Chris Evans was not sure about this cameo, but then RR told him he can say that monologe. RR said that was the catch :)
Blake Lively is Lady Deadpool. Cowboy Deadpool is Matthew McConaughey, Headpool is Nathan Fillion. 2 of Reynolds' kids are Deadpools, Kidpool and the voice of Babypool
Tell me you didn't watch to the end without telling me you didn't watch to the end.
43:30 that's kill me😂😂
The moment wolverine smiles during the car fight is just perfect, he knows hes having fun
Also, severe props to the editor for the bus sequence 🙏🤘
My daughter (15) swears EVERY dog is cute. I texted her her next dog is gonna be whatever Dogpool is (Chinese Crested?). She called immediately. *"NOOOOO!!!"*
As the wise says, be careful what you wish for. 😆
Made a google search here: Peggy, the dog that was Dogpool in the movie, is a mix of Chinese Crested with a Pug.
I was hoping for a Cable variant played by Kiera Knightley.
I gotta saym I was a doubter, but, Tatum was a PERFECT, comic accurate Gambit.
His LITERAL breaking of the 4th wall at your @7:56 is perfect!
You fan girled so hard and I'm here for it🤩
Gambit was always my favorite when I was a kid in the '90s watching the animated series. Honestly his relationship with wolverine was actually a lot like Deadpool and wolverine. Always jabbing at each other. And I think Channing Tatum nailed it
The disrespect on Channing at the beginning before he even talk is crazy
"I just made everyone look at my chest"
Don't worry Logan's got you. 😁
