Using VOR navigation to work out the wind direction & speed (No GPS use allowed)!

Using VORs and basic instrument data as well as the E6B / CRP-5 flight computer to calculate wind based on our ground speed, ground track and true heading.
In this scenario, we are unsure of the wind and we are using only information available to us from the basic cockpit instruments with no use of the GPS!
We will confirm the accuracy of our calculation later using the G1000.
The whizz wheel seems to be more popular than I thought!
This will help you with navigation planning in the 1940s.
