    • @ElkoBarbell
      @ElkoBarbell 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just realize that'll only work if the VOR is located on the airport property (and generally close to the runway in question). Plenty of VORs aren't located on/at the airport - in those cases (or if the VOR is at the airport but far from your desired runway) this trick will not work to line you up with the specific runway. You would need to reference the appropriate VOR Instrument Approach chart (if one exists) to know the appropriate OBS course to select.

    Long ago I would go into flight similar and just put in some numbers that it understood as a location. And start it. Then use the VOR's to find out where I am! With 2 VOR'S I can draw lines out from them and where they meet is where I am. I did that for a long time before I started flight training!

    Is that chart in the game, or do you have to download it separately?

    I’m still unsure how you used the VOR to line up with the runway

      I'm sorry to hear you are struggling with VOR. What VOR have you tried to capture and at what altitude? It will not work on the ground. You need to be in the air. Try it between 1000 and 3000 feet or so.

      @@BradySkye I was at 5500 feet over the sea and the main VOR I was intercepting was HTO (H) 113.6 on Long Island heading from West to East however I looked up my problem a little more, turns out its a glitch that happens when you start the simulator without the planes engine on.
