Hi Jodie and Joe. I just love what you have done with your van and I cant wait to start my own. I have loved watching all your videos so far and look forward to keep watching. I think you two are a great couple and hope you have great fu with your van. Gary
You guys are doing an amazing job! We’re two months into full time living in our van in the Surrey/London and it’s a real learning curve! Had our first real disaster last night when I was trying to fix the tap but forgot to pull the fuse for the waterpump - water everywhere! Great job with the new wiring and your interior looks so much more clean and fresh than ours! I noticed a few things - we have the same porta potti and it’s a beast, we love it. When carrying it, you can hold it like a suitcase with the handle on the back - it won’t leak, I promise! Empty it as you did but don’t open the top flap and hold it upside down, that’s a recipe for mess. Instead, empty through the nozzle like you did and then pour in 2 litres of fresh water, shake it around for a minute and then empty again. It’ll stay clean and fresh that way! Second, did you know that the speed limit for vans is 60mph on motorways? You’re unlikely to be stopped, but I wanted to be sure you knew the law just in case it ever came up! You’re doing a cracking job and we are super impressed with the finish of everything in your van. Would be great to meet you guys if you are ever in our neck of the woods, my wife and I are loving the van and know that you’re going to enjoy the lifestyle so much!
@@lovinglife2340 I stand corrected - I've been lied to for years! Our van is happier at 60 but it's good to know the higher limit is there for overtaking lorries. Thank you!
Hi guys, just came across your channel.A warm welcome to wales 🏴...There is so much more for you guys to explore in wales ..The gower peninsular is a must.West Wales is stunning, not forgetting mid and North Wales, snowdonia ...Happy adventures to you guys.Best wishes from fellow van campers ....
Absolutely loving your videos. 💯So informative, fantastic editing, cheeky wit throughout! Can't wait to watch your next video and see where you end up! ☺
Great videos guys, we moved from W. London 2 years ago to Carmarthenshire but have travelled all over Wales - there is LOADS more to see if you fancy another visit. Some of the world's most beautiful and peaceful places WITHOUT the crowds you find elsewhere. 😁😁🚘♥
I absolutely love your channel!! You two are awesome and so down to earth. My partner and I holiday (rent a cottage) in Wales every year as we just love the place, our plan is to move there eventually. Thanks for the great videos, I've still got more to binge watch 😁
Always looking forward to these videos now - please keep em coming. Glad you had a nice trip to Wales! RIP Jodie’s shoes though! Hope you can visit us at some point on your travels!
Such an enjoyable channel this...short and sweet videos full of laughs and charm......btw, have you tried any pub stopovers yet?......great alternative to campsites or parking on some dodgy lay-by ....not long back from a 5 day trip around North Wales...pub stops every night - gratis parking if you have a meal or sometimes just a pint in the boozer....perfect......some great locations, just use searchforsites to identify them
I love your vids and just binged them all in two evenings. You are both so cute and in love. Provence is lovely and good municipal camping. Buy a camping card ACSI to save a few euro. Happy trails.
Hi guys, loved the build video and the vlog. Some super scenery. Why not make your next trip to Ireland, the land of a thousand welcomes, we speak the same language and the sights will rival any in the world. I live near the Blarney stone, where it's said that if you kiss the stone you'll get the 'gift of the gab'. Hope you get the few niggles sorted. Looking forward to your next vlog. All the best....
You need to see the gower pernisola it's the best place in the uk has it all awesome beaches three cliffs bay, tor bay , Oxwich bay and rossili beach so many more to I love wales but I'm welsh
Great to see you guys have left the Big Smoke (London) on your 1st proper trip , Welsh hills better than Muswell Hill ,Winchmore Hill and Barnet Hill 😂🤣🤣 come on !!! With each trip you will forget a few thing but will not forget them a second time and nice to see Joe admitting the error with the wiring 👍🏻 Cruise control on the motorway all day long 😎😍 keep the vids coming 🤪
Solid core cable is normal for fixed wiring in buildings, but in vehicles, boats etc there is too much movement and vibration which could break the cores. Good that you realised before you went even further - and the conduit makes it much easier to replace cables. Any circuit on a 16A breaker (which I expect your sockets are on) can run on 1.5mm2 cable, especially in conduit and over short lengths.
Excellent video. Please, please, please tell us where you are when you are travelling. Am trying to track your journey but you haven't given us any names of the campsites, place names or any map of your route. Would love to hear you try and pronounce the place names and speak a little Welsh too! Keep the vids coming. They're great.
Vapour barriers prevent moisture (eg condensation from breathing and cooking) entering the insulation, rendering it ineffective, and condensing on the inside of the steel skin, where mould can grow through lack of circulating air, and the steel can rust. They help make a space airtight and more efficiently heated or cooled. Ventilation is achieved through windows, vents and fans. Vapour barriers are standard practice in modern buildings in the UK.
Unless your van is a motorcaravan on logbook max speed is 60 mph for vans on motorways and dual carriageways a friend off mine has just been fined for speeding
Wrong. 70 on motorway, 60 on dual carriageway, 50 on single… when NSL applies in a van under 7.5 tonne. But I think I remember seeing j and j going through the motions to change reg to a motor home anyway?
On dual carriageways, yes. On single carriageways (which includes roads with more than one lane in the same direction, but no central barrier) it's 50, and on motorways it's 70.

It's possible your van had a speed limiter installed - often 58 mph - as part of the owner's company policy. Apart from the takedown and rewire, really well done. You see I’d have run with it as it was 😂

On a CN plate your van is back home in Wales.
Look forward to seeing whats next on your adventures!

Love watching guys, great video. Well done. By using your van in these short trips you’ll soon learn what you require and adjust.
Yes we have already been making a list of things we need to change and add! X
Your stuff is very watchable, well done! You stressed just like I would have if I was as brave as you.

Come on Joe, go to Europe! 🙂
Carry your own hose! You shouldn't fill up your tank with water unless it says 'Drinking Water'. You used the right one.
Yep we're writing a list. That's the great thing about a test run well find all these things out
For a first adventure that wasn’t bad, you will learn as you go along and soon become seasoned campers and throw off the noobie monicker
Next trip "Europe".... One big trip you're planning there.
Well done you pair what's the name of that 3rd site you stayed at looks gorgeous there
It was called Fferm Cedris Farm - beautiful place and super friendly owners
I think you guy would like appreciate my end of the world in Somerset
After this you should have sailboat ⛵️
Did you solve the water tank problem?
We'll have to inspect it when we get back to London, I'd guess the steep roads and sharp turns caused it.
Where’s the drone footage at?
We're working on it!
off topic joe mate but at 5:41 where are the jean style shorts from?
Primark!
Nice video :)
U should of taken the vapour barrier out cause it traps moisture in
The passenger side is still open

Quick question, arctic blue cable - do you just use this for your 12v appliances? Or everything?
We used the Arctic blue for the 240v AC
if you guys are still in wales could meet up for a brew if your local enough lol
Aww thanks for the offer, the videos as a few days behind due to editing so we're heading home
great vid, have you a link for the artic, thanks
