a little tip, use vertical edges instead of all edges, that way it fills the screen more without letting the background bleed in what i also did is layered the same video with the transition ontop (i did not use an adjustment layer, the effect was applied to the actual video), applied arithemic effect to both, set both of them on max, bottom with B and G maxed and top with R maxed, then set the phase to 1 on the top clip on the wave effect while leaving the bottom on 0. that way when the wave comes it splits the color up and makes a more genuine effect
