    It's very simple to create, but if you use it a lot, I recommend saving it as a Premiere Pro effect preset.

    Omg this is the best premiere tutorial ever. It's short, understandable and professional. I've been trying to create a short farewell video with a vintage vibe, but it looked so amateur and boring. Then I bumped into your video and I'm so happy with my video now. Thanks for saving my life!

    Works in After Effects too! Most of the controls and effects are the same! You will have to create your own push transition though.

    This is great, especially since many of us non-After Effects users are left in the cold on graphics. Also, isn’t it weird we use channel changes when those actual artifacts haven’t looked like that in decades?

      Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from Brian Eno: "Whatever you now find weird, ugly, uncomfortable and nasty about a new medium will surely become its signature. CD distortion, the jitteriness of digital video, the crap sound of 8-bit - all of these will be cherished and emulated as soon as they can be avoided." www.goodreads.com/quotes/649039-whatever-you-now-find-weird-ugly-uncomfortable-and-nasty-about

    The Push effect is a little too slow, how to I make it faster? It crawls across the screen at a very slow rate and mitigates the channel "flipping" effect. Thank you!

    • @ThePremierePro
      @ThePremierePro  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      To speed up the Push effect, you just need to make the transition shorter. I recommend setting it to between 6-10 frames for a snappier channel flipping effect.

    What is the easiest way to save this as a preset?

    • @ThePremierePro
      @ThePremierePro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question Atom - the easiest way is to save the effects on the adjustment layer as an effect preset. If you find you're using the effect a lot, then a quicker way to do it is to create a new graphic layer, fill the screen with a rectangle, add all the effects on top of that and then save it as a MOGRT. When you add the MOGRT to the timeline, you need to right-click it and choose Adjustment Layer.
