I agree with your process & outlook. I mainly wanted to learn the flop/roll bag in order to flop over their block & have mine as lead block. It has progressed to the point where I roll over my own block into the hole, and leave the block in front (aka push replace).
For anyone having an issue with the butterfly grip around your index finger. From my experience just keep the index finger straight, with the tip of your finger apply pressure into the bag to help you grip the bag for release. Lemme know if that tip helps. Someone helped me learn

The level of detail in your content exceeds anything currently out there! I'm looking forward to your cut shot episode. Would love to see an episode on practice routines for each shot (i.e., roll practice, cut shot practice, airmail practice, etc.) An episode on base mechanics (foot position, step/no-step, etc.), one on the mental aspects of the game (performing at a high level as well as how to regain focus when you lose it -- both in-game and long term), and one on how to correct the problems that creep in on us non-pros and make bag flight erratic (thinking things like consistent grip pressure, elbow straightness, wrist position, inconsistent release position, consistent left/right misses, etc.) Also, any thoughts on what to do with your non-throwing hand?

I changed to a butterfly grip and I'm able to throw a flatter bag
For conducting a roll bag I normally rotate / twist my wrist over on the release and works well… but I’m going to give this technique a try and see if it improves my roll shots. Thanks

Are you throwing this shot with the bag landing on the sticky side or the slick side?
One thing for me that I have noticed is people put too much thought into the pinky up over the thumb. Which makes you throw kind of funny. Because if you look at his shot he’s slicing the bag to give it more rotation along with that back load which is why his bag spins faster and is more consistent with the roll. The tricky thing about that is you have to know when to release the bag before you slice it. And when I say slice I mean like he’s swiping the bottom of it. With a traditional throw it’s like serving a pizza and with the roll shot you are slicing it giving it that pop.

great demonstration, I definitely need more practice, my bag is more not tilted back, it's actually tilted on the front side more so. any suggestions on how to fix that?
Try holding the bag "vertically" in front of you, keep your arm tension fairly tight all the way back and through........at the very last second when the bag is released, open up see if that helps.
@@northernwisconsincornhole1584 i've been trying that today and seems to be working really well, I just need to keep working with that release.
What if your spin for a right hander is right to left kind of like a backup bag?
It’s nearly impossible to get a proper roll bag without the basic left to right spin on the bag for a right hander, in my opinion.
Just got back from a ACL Western Conference Tournament...Do you have any advice on how to deal with really sticky/slow boards?...LMG..Roll Bags? or just generate more spin?
If you have a flat bag, you can play the the roll/cut game. If you don't have a flat bag, then you should own set of faster bags so you can use your normal throw. Good Luck!
Is it better to practice with heavier bags rather than light bags?
All top level bags are around the same weight. If you want to work on the roll shot though a heavier-feeling bag would work better.

Have Reynolds gold 4-7 I think they are ,and game changer 2.0 steady 4-6 .besides fire vengeance, assault and incinerators probably those are to fast for rolling right?
Most carpet bags are great for rolling. When you get your bag weighted properly, you can roll just about any bag :)
When you're throwing the butterfly bag for the roll do you want to hit just in front of the opponents bag or land it right on their bag? Sticky or slick side down?
