    I understand squaring your shoulders when on the left side of the board, what do you do when you are on the right side and throwing at an angle? I am a lot more inconsistent on the right side. I also graze my leg with the bag on my back swing and my throw. Is this a bad thing? Thanks for the video!

      Sqare shoulders is vital on either side.....you can angle your entire body a little bit on the right side if you need to, but still a square should delivery. Generally, hitting your leg isn't a good idea.....but it may help if your arm has a tendency to sway "outward" which usually isn't good :)

    When throwing the off board side do u angle ur alignment slightly to make the angle better or stay straight and as I was cut the bag a little to make the angle better?

    I enjoy the videos you have put out. You go into some depth on things that are brushed over in other videos. One question I have is do you have an aiming mechanism in your throw? Or are you just aiming based on feel? for example, I'm been playing with the aiming using the V shape that my thumb and index finger make and with the way I release the bag, I can be pretty consistent if I feel like I point the V at my target. There are some shots that require great accuracy, so I'd be interested in both "Pops" and Blake's thoughts.

    • @northernwisconsincornhole1584
      @northernwisconsincornhole1584 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just make sure you have that visual. Whether it's looking at the hole, or another spot. Sometimes, I treat it like a putt in golf. Look at the hole, bring the eyes back to you on a line that throw the bag back on that line. Seems to work for me pretty good. Good Luck To You!

    For anyone having an issue with the butterfly grip around your index finger. From my experience just keep the index finger straight, with the tip of your finger apply pressure into the bag to help you grip the bag for release. Lemme know if that tip helps. Someone helped me learn

    Seems like I play great when I'm not thinking. If I'm nervous and "trying", everything feels unnatural and I miss left and right.

    What is the ruling on swaying side to side (intentionally or unintentionally) opposite from whomever is throwing. I had a couple old guys mad at me for swaying and I honestly was doing this not on purpose but they were very triggered by it. More so the thrower on my partners side across the way. Clearly he felt strong enough to call me out on it saying I couldn't do that. Me being me almost wanted to keep doing it just out of spite but tried to be respectful and let it go.

      Interpretation varies by all players 4.d.iii.4. - A player may flip or spin bags, as well as move within their pitcher’s box as long as the movements are not directed towards an opposing player. 4.d.iii.5. - A player may not directly yell or talk at the opposing player with the intent to distract the opposing player while the player is in a throwing motion. General talking, or talking between teammates and fans is not considered for this rule. The same penalty for inappropriate behavior above is used for violations of this rule.

    • @northernwisconsincornhole1584
      @northernwisconsincornhole1584 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you can get a place to give the facility use for free, that is the best option! If they are really having good nights when you are there, then you can possibly ask for compensation to run a tournament/league at their facility. Good Luck!

    • @northernwisconsincornhole1584

      If you have a flat bag, you can play the the roll/cut game. If you don't have a flat bag, then you should own set of faster bags so you can use your normal throw. Good Luck!

    Wail your playing the game. During your game can you change your bags if you feel the ones you're using aren't working for you.

    • @northernwisconsincornhole1584
      @northernwisconsincornhole1584 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Players are not allowed to change bags during a game. If it's 2 out of 3, you change in-between games in most cases.

    Great video. Hey, when you say lock your arm and elbow, do you mean get the bottom of your elbow pointed straight behind you at address, or keep that rested and pointed behind you to the right. Seems like this is the only way I can avoid hitting my leg (pointed in left or straight back). Good luck this yr!!!

    The hidden gem in this video is Joel talking about watching a lot of pros play...specifically, in-person. I learned a lot this past year at a couple of ACL Opens by watching how different pros approach and play the game. Talking with pros (including hanging out with you guys all weekend in Kansas) was eye opening as far as gaining perspective and insight into how to play the game at a higher level. 99% of pros are approachable and willing to share tips, techniques, strategies, etc. If you can't make it to an Open or bigger tournament where lots of pros play, videos like this are a great way to learn too!
