    Great break down. First I’ve seen to really break down in slow mo the grips and angles of release and end results. Thanks Mike

      That's what I was trying to do. It's hard to slow down the throw and release because it happens so fast.

    This was so well done Mike. Once again, you're proving to be far more than just a reviewer of bags- I absolutely love this tutorial. I really struggle getting the right to left over rotation release (as a right hander), I'll definitely try the thumb/forefinger across the body release. Alec Ryan is one of the best I've seen at cutting bags. Thanks Mike, looking forward to more tutorials!

    • @MikesBags
      @MikesBags  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the shot I struggle with the most. I have no issues front loading the bag for a flop but whenever I try to back load, it wants to come out flat. I can do but not consistently.

    • @tebueno1
      @tebueno1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MikesBags yeah for me I CAN get it back loaded but my aim is horrible or when I DO hit my spot it’s like you said: it comes out flat

    • @MikesBags
      @MikesBags  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It takes a lot of practice to get it right. I've adapted to more of a cut roll. I feel it's a little more forgiving and it's an easier throw for me.

  • @alex05k
    @alex05k ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video, Mike. I've been trying to learn this throw, but as soon as I put an angle on the bag, I can barely hit the board. I guess practice practice practice

    • @MikesBags
      @MikesBags  ปีที่แล้ว

      It takes a lot of practice to get it right. Once you get consistent at putting it on the board, you'll struggle with getting it to land where you want. It's a tough shot to master.

    I have a natural left to right cut and always play from the right side. I also have a solid straight slide. I can block slide straight on my side or go around decent block and use my opponents lane. Need to work on my right to left cut though. Getting 1 cut shot locked in is very important as you can collect your blocks easier when you set on opponents side.

    Will you do a tutorial on roll bags?

    • @MikesBags
      @MikesBags  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not a great roll bag thrower. I struggle with the back load needed to get a consistent roll. I am not a good one to teach someone how to throw it. To be honest, it is very rare that I feel like the roll is the best option. I find that most situations, a cut or an airmail is a better option than the roll.

    Mike I need to pick your brain again when you have time. I love Fire bags, but in a tournament last night I used some Big Daddy Rivals, and I really liked them. Smaller template than the Incinerator I usually go with in which I actually didn’t mind. If you’re familiar with the Rivals, what Fire/BG/BlackSheep/AlphaBags - bags could you compare to them?

    • @MikesBags
      @MikesBags  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of the bag companies that you listed, the closest bag would be the BG Viking. It's almost the same materials but it does use a different fill that is more bouncy than the Rival. The original Black Sheep OG would be very close but that bag is no longer being made. When they switched to the OG2, they changed the carpet material. However, the OG2 has the same feel and fill as the Rival. It will play more like the Rival than the Viking will. The Fire Ember and the Alpha Bags King Alpha are close but they use a different carpet material, like the OG2.
      To answer your question, none of those companies makes a bag just like the Rival. The Buffalo Boards Conflict X is a bag that would be close to the Rival. However, if you like the Rival, just buy a set of them. Big Daddy is still making that bag.
      Now, if you want a smaller template bag that is closer to the Incinerator speeds, then get a set of Fire Heat.
      I hope that answers your question. 😀
