Beating Elden Ring's DLC with ONLY Summons

- Decided to do a challenge where I have to beat all of the DLC using ONLY New summons from the DLC itself. Honestly pretty fun run, few summons definitely stood out as the strongest. Some are laughably bad. Hope you guys enjoy the run and can learn a bit about the DLC summons!

Taylew with heals is probably one of the best ways to beat him 😭 sure it takes time, but also... doesn't? Could probably save hours of tries with other builds.

@@Chaoszwaihander3434the best way fs fs is a heavy shield and any spear that can poke while you still hold the shield. I literally beat radahn solo on my 3rd try with a +2 mogh spear lol. Just use a shield spell and have lots of stamina.

Nah, it just means he's a perfect VA. He'll likely get more jobs, and plenty of em, especially with that raw, vile, and potent hatred that just oozes in every word. I felt like Igon was real, and Bayle truly deserved every single arrow. @@_ikako_
At the end when he eas crying I was legit concerned for him. Sounded like he’s been through some shit and the fight was casarsis for him.
I like how he puts the questions that he is answering on the screen. People should really take note and do this.

Real taylew carries me i only use him and mimic tear
Mimic tear is nowy third weakest summon when I got ornis mimic tear bumped down then taylew made it to easy to best bosses
As I was going through the DLC and getting "heal from afar" I immediately knew that this challenge run was going to be way more fun for creators.

Every Mimic users know the most terrifying build for mimic tear is full vigor monster tank with either blesphemous blade or prayer's strike bloody star.You don't even need to heal for that thing,it'll just do by itself lol.

FP regen talisman and heal from afar would make this kind of run genuinely fun even for non-content creators, which imo wasn't the case before

everyone showing love to Taylew (deservedly so), but let's not forget the man-flies, the inquisitor fight would have been a real pain in the ass for most of the other summons
Jolan and Anna got robbed. They went against the boss that stays away from them so they can’t get close. So sad. They are incredibly good.
Yea i was hoping to see more of them, but they held their own really well against Radahn, just got fucked over by his grab
I've heard they are bugged, some players were reporting less than 40 damage from them fully upgraded.
Honestly they're just kinda mid on the main story bosses. Not enough health to be of any use, i really regret grabbing them instead of the sword
@@CaptianSwan I think this happens if you upgrade Jolan alone before changing her solo spirit ash into the duo one. Which sucks and definitely merits a fix so that Anna can automatically catch up in upgrades once they are reunited.
I think Igon is actually a spirit summon against Bayle, he basically dies and Florissax brings him back to fight once more.
He's not dead, just unable to fight using his real body because he is basically crippled.

I love that with the dlc you can actually make fun summoner builds because of the new talismans and tear, as well as heal from afar. I actually want to play a summoner build where I'm the support and my summon is the main character. Sounds like a fun gimmick playthrough

@LuckIsReallyNeat blessed blue dew talisman. You get it in a church in Gravesite plane. From the grace infront of Belurat, turn back and go to the right. It'll get you up to where the Church that has the talisman is.

i'm pretty sure the low level stones are there to urge players to upgrade and try out the new dlc weapons
I see it as a way to do soul level 1 challenge run on the dlc

You should have the at least the first bell bearings by the time you do the DLC. You can just buy them,
I'm fairly certain that their design is *not* for "DLC only" challenge runs as From has, up until now, never catered to any form of challenge run in any way, shape or form. At least not obvious and intentionally.
I personally recon that it's exactly what GBlockbreaker suggests. Give lots of every material so people don't feel "bad" about discarding their current gear to test new, cool gear.
Sadly I think they went overboard. So many times I was doing some exploration just to run into totally irrelevant smithing stones. Could have used more Runearchs or somesuch as exploration rewards imo.
@@tytar1037 if you’re able to buy them and you plan on using them to upgrade DLC weapons then they’re basically just runes at that point. However if you’re like me and you stacked up hundreds in preparation for the DLC then they’re completely useless lol

Bruh Taylew is the only reason I managed to beat Gaius. I tried and tried with this goddamn hog, but neither Tíche nor anyone else could help me enough.
But then came Taylew. I thankfully already was a Faith build, so I just needed to adjust my spells to have some heals and blessings, and Taylew tanked the entire thing.
Not only Gaius, but also the entirety of Messmer, only dying when Messmer did. Taylew really is the god of smithing. Praise Taylew.
I had no idea Ancient Dragon Man had half of those moves. My +10 Shield bros stunlocked him in a corner while I chopped him with overhead great katana swings

This run feels somewhat wholesome, with the support and positive commentary you provide, while the summons are giving their best.
Taylew killed the hardest boss in the game without breaking a sweat.
Yosh may not be "the best" summon, but he's for sure the coolest. The fact that he fights like Yoda in the prequels is so cool.
Green timer is a meme in the Trackmania community, but makes stream -> TH-cam videos so much easier to follow. Having a jump cut and being able to see how much time has passed improves the watch experience so much

I might be coping but I think the sisters got really bad matchups.
Summoned against Putrescent which Im pretty sure cant be bleed and is strong against magic which the sisters inflict, (not to mention the boss runs around a lot). And Promised Consort which happens to have a two shot grab against them which especially becomes a problem in an extended fight.
They did push him into halfish 2nd phase pretty nicely. I did notice Distortion did have another 15 attempts b4 he switched to our boi Taylew. But I think they still really good but Taylew is a gigga chad 100%-especially for the final fight.
They are really good, but like every spirit but mimic tear they are situational
this is one of the coolest runs / ideas ive ever seen. like a TON of people who enjoy the MMO/ Healer type gameplay would love this? I wish more people knew, you could play elden ring like this!
I like the smithing stones. They serve as a passive indicator for what areas are recommended first. If you are finding smithing stones 9s you are not meant to be there first.

i like that the dlc makes the late game runes useful, like malenias and mohgs, cause in most of my playthroughs at least by the time i have either of those i only have like 3 story bosses left

So for people who keep saying the DLC is too hard… Fromsoft literally is letting you decide the difficulty. Use summons and collect all the spirit ashes and scadutree fragments and you’ll have yourself an easier time.
Elden Ring is by far the most accessible to players not as skillful or experienced in these kind of games. Despite the DLC being a bit tougher… the statement still holds true. This video is proof.
Awesome content btw! I was extremely surprised by how strong these summons were….especially Yoda and Bird Warrior Ornis.

The fact this game can legitimately support a summoner build when I doubt it was ever a blip on the radar in regards to the intentions of the developers is what makes it so great.

Heal from afar is broken. Best heal in the game, especially for something like this lol
Can heal yourself, too.
The heal amount is 4.2 x incantation scaling in yourself, and 3.36 x incant scaling on others.
From near death, to full health, in a cast that's as fast as a flask, with quicker recovery for rolling. 45 fp to cast. Guaranteed to be nerfed lol.

I really like that the spider scorpion ash comes in at a distance, I don't have arachnaphobia but it can keep away
Every time I summon on my Xbox, the damn bosses lock eyes with me and they tunnel vision me like a new killer player in dbd

Seems Summon poison/rot never wears off, just like Rotdog and the jellyfish.
And you can definitely survive grabs from the madness-grapes.
10:15 during scripted fights between two enemies, sometimes the enemies are coded to do less damage to each other (for the drama). It looks like Messmer soldiers are programmed to do less damage to that dragon, specifically. Just bad luck lol
Erdtree Heal with 80 faith and +10 erdtree seal heals for about 3.4k and can sometimes double heal someone if they take damage while the aoe is still active.
so much fun even to watch. I've always enjoyed playing the summons', especially the mimic (go away haters) because the strategy of the build and load out for the mimic is a lot of fun to work out and refine for different scenarios and bosses. this was cool - thanks (new sub)!

I guess it is a bug, but many Messmer's soldier in game don't aggro you unless you attack them, and even then sometimes they just stop and stand still. It seems their spirit summon works the same...
I love how everytime dist praises a summon not even 2 seconds later said summon gets rocked by an attack
Jolan and Anna are actually insanely good when you are also fighting - make you the ganker instead of the ganked and they both build bleed and act as npcs so they get invincibility on getup and other npc bonuses
I tried them against the fire salamander in the consecrated snowfield, they stood on the fire and died.
The biggest issue I found with the sisters is that they just take so much damage. When they are first summoned in, they are already close to half health due to how Radahn attacks.
I feel like the talisman in the DLC that regenerates FP would've been goated for this run :O But sick either way~ Taylew is a beast

Taylew vs Radahn fight: unstoppable force vs unmovable object.
Effectiveness depends on building honestly. If you want dps then two summons will help considerably with bleeds and staggers, Jolan and Anna reign supreme. Physical melee builds will ganging up on the boss wjile doing good dps.
For being tanky with consistent famage feom a distance the golem is king, caster builds would especially love his ability to take boss aggro from any range and withstand most of their brutal combos.
