This is why I only buy physical disk games anymore. If something happens at the end of the day I can still sell that disk and recoup some money. Or I can share a game with a friend.
You can share a lot of digital games too. This requires total trust between users but if you set their ps4 as your "primary" system and they set yours as their "primary" 95% of what you download in store can be added to both systems. So I buy a game digitally and my brother can then log in on his system as me download it then go back to his profile and he owns the game as well. Down side is if my internet cuts out I lose access to my digital games and in some bundle situations dlc won't be included with the "free" game. Plus side is I buy a game or dlc and almost every time he gets a free copy. We can also play the same game together co-op or competitively.

Another fun fact if you have a friend who has digitally downloaded games you can transfer their account to your ps4 and download all their games. Something I am honestly baffled by seeing as how Sony is usually really strict about sharing games and products

You have to download the profile, activate your ps4 as the accounts primary ps4, then download the games, and any account on your ps4 can play that content, BUT, whoever the account belongs to can ONLY play the content on THEIR account on their system, no others, and that's also only while it's connected to the internet, otherwise it can't verify that you still have the license for the games since that ps4 isn't the primary.
The PS4 browser will remember the last webpage you were viewing and will show it when you open it again. So don't forget to close all tabs after your finish your.... browsing session. Also, you can take screenshots on your PS4 browser, which means you can google for any hent... I mean, picture you like and use that as your theme.
That doesn't happen. Turning on your TV with the TV remote will NOT turn on the PS4 if it's off. Here's what will happen: -Turning on the PS4 will turn the TV on (if off) and change to the PS4's input (if not already there). -Changing the input to the PS4 while the PS4 is off will turn the PS4 on. -Turning off the TV will also turn off the PS4, but NOT Vice-versa. ...and that is all.

Here's a tip. If you want to share a game with a friend, you can set their ps4 as your home system and your ps4 as their home system. When you buy a new game, they can log in as you, download it, log in as themselves, and they can then play the game for free. My wife and I do this for all our multi-player games. Saves us from having to buying the game twice.

Also you should link your PSN account to Sony rewards, you get points for earning trophies! I got a total of 11 platinums and I had completely forgotten about it until I saw hollow knight was on PS4 and it was on sale for $7.50! So I went to Sony rewards and claimed a $10 gift card and I got hollow knight pretty much for free! Incase your not to sure on how the point system works I believe it’s 10 platinum trophies = 1000 points 25 good trophies = 250 points 100 silver trophies = 100 points A $10 gift card is 1000 points.

Thats true. When your account gets perma ban. ALL of the digital games you owned will be revoked on the account and you will never play it on the ps4 same goes to xbox to some players as well. Digital sucks when it comes to that but the only benefit of having it is getting the games through sale only.
I just hope the Ps5 has full backwards compatibility for it's entire library... as honestly when the physical game's go by by for digital copies of everything only, my days of buying the latest systems will have come to and end and I will just build up my library of physical games for the last system to have them. it's not going to be. because 1) the Emotion Engine in the PS3 had poor emulation and could not run every single game properly, including PS1 titles. and 2) they would have to make it available on both disc and digital, and licensing issues could prevent many old titles from being supportive.
Sony has been working on a new patent for BC to run every generation. Even if the PS5 isn't full BC then it will obviously will be for PS4 at least which is obviously more than fine.

Here are 2 things many of you might not know: 1) You can't access the PS Plus monthly free games once your subscription is over, EVEN IF YOU DOWNLOADED AND PLAYED IT BEFORE. The game just becomes locked and remains like that until you renew your subscription. (Like Final Fantasy 7 remake from last month). This however, doesn't apply to the games you buy from PS Plus discounts. 2) A lot of crossplay games like Fortnite, Minecraft and CoD Warzone support Keyboard and Mouse inputs. The only downgrade is that you have to keep the controller near you as well if you're using headphones. P.S. Some games like Warzone doesn't automatically take K&M as input; you'll have set it manually.

Here's something i don't think a lot of people know too. The PS4 turns your direct downloads into torrents if your download keeps restarting. this is ultimately slower but still ideal for countries with regular power outages as your ps4 won't stay on long enough to complete your downloads. a small but incredibly effective feature that has saved a lot of gamers in third world countries. with big 36 gb updates taking 22 hours and such
Once you conected the HDMI link between the television and the PS4, not only the PS4 can turn the TV on, but the TV can wake the PS4 up, and you can use the arrows on the TV remote to control the PS4, this is great when you want to use the PS4 as a media player.
You missed game sharing. The primary account on the PlayStation will share all their games as well as PlayStation plus online play benefits with the other users on the same system
the last one where you state about being banned from sony here is the thing - cause people can be banned on the whim of someone and there is no justification for it now you paid money for your digital content - and the scenario of whats presented about the possibility of losing everything does occur - Sony can legally be sued for breach of trading practices you paid for games or other content - which means Sony is obligated to make sure that digital property is available to you constantly - this brings me to my other point now - just say ps4 finishes and you buy ps6 now - those games you bought are legally obligated for sony to have available for your ps4 - so if at any time the content you have bought becomes unavailable for what ever reason - ie you got banned or the console is 2 generations ago etc for sony not to have that digital content available to you (same with xbox or any digital platform) then you have a case against them for breach of trade practising and consumer laws also stating this if sony or what ever digital company comes out with wording upon their user agreements that expresses that digital content can cease to exist - that is still a breach of trading practices and they are liable for - that user agreement would also represent that their digital store would have to shut down because anything sold would be in direct violation to laws
I was due to renew my psplus last year so I did so with my taxes. Not 4 days later they had a sale for 3 extra months when you purchase a year. Figured I’d contact customer support to see if they’d do anything. Pleasantly surprised that they sent me a code for the 3 months. Love it!
You can also use your tv remote to turn on your PS4 (and PS3 Slim) it used to be called HDMI-CEC It’s also useful for watching movies and stuff like that
I will always choose the console that has the quality exclusives, which is why PS has always been my main choice and they've never let me down. Nintendo kinda do as well but they're more family friendly games where as most Sony games are more mature and they take a lot of risks constantly making new IP's which I really respect and also the huge variety of different genres to choose from. Microsoft just stick with their Gears, Forza and Halo which I have no interest at all anymore and they seem to have given up and focus more into live services and streaming in the future which I don't want to be apart of. Anyway every console has something for everyone.
I learned a lot from PlayStation 4 rules you keep it safe and one thing I did on learned about is never to unplug the PlayStation 4 when the electricity goes out there was a power surge I use as extension cord to play it safe. And I am not a downloading person to play video games on the PlayStation 4 store I got in trouble for that a long time ago. One of the best safety tips to keep the PlayStation 4 going. I don't use cheat codes But I do use the PlayStation reward cards to unlock something. And I love watching this stuff on TH-cam to know every safety tip about the PlayStation software to keep it safe I've been a big fan of the PlayStation for a long time since PlayStation 1 came out to PlayStation 2 the PlayStation 3 and now PlayStation 4. And now they have a new system now right now for PlayStation 5 But instead I will keep PlayStation 4. I have no idea if PlayStation 6 will be coming out for a long time from now maybe 30 years in the future.
The HDMI device link is honestly just a fancy name for HDMI CEC. It can called something different on each device. The Nintendo Switch supports as well, and it not only allows the TV and game console to turn on at the same time, but it also will cause the TV to automatically change the input to said game console when it's turned on.
#2 its never a good idea to buy expensive games when your that close to black Friday. Especially now that they are putting the ads out sooner and sooner. #1 While I can see good reason to ban people from playing online it is 100% BS to essentially take their games away because of it. Yet another good argument against digital content IMO. They should still have access to download them when/if they have hardware failure especially when its easy to run out of space and have to delete games to make room for others. I don't understand why people seem so blind at how this plays right into the game companies hands. You don't save any money with digital content in fact many times they are more expensive than physical copies. As Nintendo has shown all theyhave to do is shut down the service and you lose access to them. You can't sell, trade, or loan games to friends/family. Most of the time they have strict "No refund" policy on games as where a store bought copy you stand a chance with. Also as Sony is showing your giving them more control over something you paid for. People like to make the argument that digital will last longer because physical copies decay over time. I currently own roughly 2000 games ranging from Odyssey to current gen systems. Throughout my life I have rented, loaned, traded, bought and sold proably double or even triple that number. Outside of an old cartridge game needing a new battery I have never had a game quit working and some of my games are older than me (im 39) Sure if you do something dumb and let a disc game get all scratched your going to have issues but with a little common sense its not hard to take care of a game. Even old cd-rom games which do scratch easy are not difficult to take care of. Don't rough handle them, keep them in their cases and your fine. Wii store got what 10 or 11 years before they pulled the plug? I seldom if ever buy anything digitally. The few times I do its usually either humble bundle charity bundles or a small indie studio through steam. The only plus I will give digital content is it does give a smaller group of developers a chance to publish a game despite also allowing so much garbage to flood the market at times.

I know I can switch it to .png but if you share the picture with yourself through a message where you're the only recipient, it'll be downloaded as a .jpg through the mobile app. I think the only way to get it as it is on your PS4 is to save it directly to a USB or to your phone if possible. IDK if sharing it to Facebook or Twitter preserves the format.
A workaround if the other person doesn’t have ps plus: Make sure your account is the primary account on the system. (fact: if the primary account on a PS4 has PS+, all other accounts on that ps4 system will have PS+ exclusively on that system) because you can hand over the controller, you simply get another controller, log into a guest account (or just another account on the system). Start the share party on THAT account, and use that profile to give a controller to your friend. And you can play couch coop games just like they actually had that second controller. If you don’t have another controller, try using the mobile app as a second controller
Here's a couple Sony better fix. If you have 2 ps4s because you bought a launch model and a pro later (pro living room, launch in bedroom), they will brick one every time the internet goes down. Way to treat your customers sony. If you buy a tv series from their store and half of the episodes are from some random show instead of what you bought, they will run you through meaningless tech fixes before they tell you to fuck off and attempt to keep your money.

If you like keeping your watched history on TH-cam to go back to later you can go to those settings and pause your watch history while you watch the review or whatever, then just unpause your history and it should have the same effect without having to clear everything you've watched previously.

#10 TV’s have the option now for FULL or LIMITED or something similar. And so do some monitors and TV’s. But always use FULL for gaming on a monitor. Limited for movies on TV’s and either FULL or LIMITED on a monitor. depending on preference.

This is why I only buy physical disk games anymore. If something happens at the end of the day I can still sell that disk and recoup some money. Or I can share a game with a friend.
You can share a lot of digital games too. This requires total trust between users but if you set their ps4 as your "primary" system and they set yours as their "primary" 95% of what you download in store can be added to both systems. So I buy a game digitally and my brother can then log in on his system as me download it then go back to his profile and he owns the game as well. Down side is if my internet cuts out I lose access to my digital games and in some bundle situations dlc won't be included with the "free" game. Plus side is I buy a game or dlc and almost every time he gets a free copy. We can also play the same game together co-op or competitively.

You have to download the profile, activate your ps4 as the accounts primary ps4, then download the games, and any account on your ps4 can play that content, BUT, whoever the account belongs to can ONLY play the content on THEIR account on their system, no others, and that's also only while it's connected to the internet, otherwise it can't verify that you still have the license for the games since that ps4 isn't the primary.
Xbox can do the same with PC's. But I still prefer PS4
The PS4 browser will remember the last webpage you were viewing and will show it when you open it again. So don't forget to close all tabs after your finish your.... browsing session.
Also, you can take screenshots on your PS4 browser, which means you can google for any hent... I mean, picture you like and use that as your theme.

-Turning on the PS4 will turn the TV on (if off) and change to the PS4's input (if not already there).
-Changing the input to the PS4 while the PS4 is off will turn the PS4 on.
-Turning off the TV will also turn off the PS4, but NOT Vice-versa.
...and that is all.

Here's a tip. If you want to share a game with a friend, you can set their ps4 as your home system and your ps4 as their home system. When you buy a new game, they can log in as you, download it, log in as themselves, and they can then play the game for free. My wife and I do this for all our multi-player games. Saves us from having to buying the game twice.

it's not going to be. because 1) the Emotion Engine in the PS3 had poor emulation and could not run every single game properly, including PS1 titles. and 2) they would have to make it available on both disc and digital, and licensing issues could prevent many old titles from being supportive.

Here are 2 things many of you might not know:
1) You can't access the PS Plus monthly free games once your subscription is over, EVEN IF YOU DOWNLOADED AND PLAYED IT BEFORE. The game just becomes locked and remains like that until you renew your subscription. (Like Final Fantasy 7 remake from last month).
This however, doesn't apply to the games you buy from PS Plus discounts.
2) A lot of crossplay games like Fortnite, Minecraft and CoD Warzone support Keyboard and Mouse inputs. The only downgrade is that you have to keep the controller near you as well if you're using headphones.
P.S. Some games like Warzone doesn't automatically take K&M as input; you'll have set it manually.

I have a 300Mbps connection and it still lags. It's the PSN servers. Also, the resolution is only 720p in Shareplay. Shareplay is essentially useless.

The PS4 turns your direct downloads into torrents if your download keeps restarting. this is ultimately slower but still ideal for countries with regular power outages as your ps4 won't stay on long enough to complete your downloads. a small but incredibly effective feature that has saved a lot of gamers in third world countries. with big 36 gb updates taking 22 hours and such

Once you conected the HDMI link between the television and the PS4, not only the PS4 can turn the TV on, but the TV can wake the PS4 up, and you can use the arrows on the TV remote to control the PS4, this is great when you want to use the PS4 as a media player.

now you paid money for your digital content - and the scenario of whats presented about the possibility of losing everything does occur - Sony can legally be sued for breach of trading practices
you paid for games or other content - which means Sony is obligated to make sure that digital property is available to you constantly - this brings me to my other point now - just say ps4 finishes and you buy ps6 now - those games you bought are legally obligated for sony to have available for your ps4 - so if at any time the content you have bought becomes unavailable for what ever reason - ie you got banned or the console is 2 generations ago etc for sony not to have that digital content available to you (same with xbox or any digital platform) then you have a case against them for breach of trade practising and consumer laws
also stating this if sony or what ever digital company comes out with wording upon their user agreements that expresses that digital content can cease to exist - that is still a breach of trading practices and they are liable for - that user agreement would also represent that their digital store would have to shut down because anything sold would be in direct violation to laws

I will always choose the console that has the quality exclusives, which is why PS has always been my main choice and they've never let me down. Nintendo kinda do as well but they're more family friendly games where as most Sony games are more mature and they take a lot of risks constantly making new IP's which I really respect and also the huge variety of different genres to choose from. Microsoft just stick with their Gears, Forza and Halo which I have no interest at all anymore and they seem to have given up and focus more into live services and streaming in the future which I don't want to be apart of.

The HDMI device link is honestly just a fancy name for HDMI CEC. It can called something different on each device. The Nintendo Switch supports as well, and it not only allows the TV and game console to turn on at the same time, but it also will cause the TV to automatically change the input to said game console when it's turned on.

#2 its never a good idea to buy expensive games when your that close to black Friday. Especially now that they are putting the ads out sooner and sooner.
#1 While I can see good reason to ban people from playing online it is 100% BS to essentially take their games away because of it. Yet another good argument against digital content IMO. They should still have access to download them when/if they have hardware failure especially when its easy to run out of space and have to delete games to make room for others. I don't understand why people seem so blind at how this plays right into the game companies hands. You don't save any money with digital content in fact many times they are more expensive than physical copies. As Nintendo has shown all theyhave to do is shut down the service and you lose access to them. You can't sell, trade, or loan games to friends/family. Most of the time they have strict "No refund" policy on games as where a store bought copy you stand a chance with. Also as Sony is showing your giving them more control over something you paid for.
People like to make the argument that digital will last longer because physical copies decay over time. I currently own roughly 2000 games ranging from Odyssey to current gen systems. Throughout my life I have rented, loaned, traded, bought and sold proably double or even triple that number. Outside of an old cartridge game needing a new battery I have never had a game quit working and some of my games are older than me (im 39) Sure if you do something dumb and let a disc game get all scratched your going to have issues but with a little common sense its not hard to take care of a game. Even old cd-rom games which do scratch easy are not difficult to take care of. Don't rough handle them, keep them in their cases and your fine. Wii store got what 10 or 11 years before they pulled the plug?
I seldom if ever buy anything digitally. The few times I do its usually either humble bundle charity bundles or a small indie studio through steam. The only plus I will give digital content is it does give a smaller group of developers a chance to publish a game despite also allowing so much garbage to flood the market at times.

A workaround if the other person doesn’t have ps plus: Make sure your account is the primary account on the system. (fact: if the primary account on a PS4 has PS+, all other accounts on that ps4 system will have PS+ exclusively on that system) because you can hand over the controller, you simply get another controller, log into a guest account (or just another account on the system). Start the share party on THAT account, and use that profile to give a controller to your friend. And you can play couch coop games just like they actually had that second controller. If you don’t have another controller, try using the mobile app as a second controller
Here's a couple Sony better fix. If you have 2 ps4s because you bought a launch model and a pro later (pro living room, launch in bedroom), they will brick one every time the internet goes down. Way to treat your customers sony.
If you buy a tv series from their store and half of the episodes are from some random show instead of what you bought, they will run you through meaningless tech fixes before they tell you to fuck off and attempt to keep your money.

If you like keeping your watched history on TH-cam to go back to later you can go to those settings and pause your watch history while you watch the review or whatever, then just unpause your history and it should have the same effect without having to clear everything you've watched previously.

#10 TV’s have the option now for FULL or LIMITED or something similar. And so do some monitors and TV’s. But always use FULL for gaming on a monitor. Limited for movies on TV’s and either FULL or LIMITED on a monitor. depending on preference.
