They just came and went when they pleased. Then a friend of mine introduced me to a guy he hangs out with to play Street Fighter with. He was a physical trainer. Told me to tell him what was up, and when I did, he told me I had "gamer posture". Told me how I sit and stand is putting too much pressure on my neck, which gave me the head pain. That dude more or less, saved my life. If it wasn't for him, I probably would have went to the hospital at some point and paid money for something that was a simple solution. So, do yourself a favor, and keep your back straight. It may seem annoying, but the alternative is far worse.

@@Veroxzes Funny thing is that it is the polar opposite for me, xbox 360 was my last console before I switched to PC, I played on console for 27 years of my life from the NES to the 360 and throughout all of those years I'd be hunched right over with the controller in hand, using keyboard and mouse I find I normally have perfect posture. I can't really use key + mouse if I'm hunched over, plus I really don't have a choice but to stay up right at the moment since I'm gaming from a wheelchair with a lumbar roll against my back, still in the rehabilitation phase.
Im 25 and I already need physical therapy. I feel like I’m 50. It’s not just because of gaming, I had a bad posture at school, at home, in the bus, car ect... So yeah, posture is pretty important. It’s another bad habit most humans have, we never really care until something happens to us. Don’t wait until you get cancer to stop smoking and don’t wait until your spine is a cooked spaghetti to sit right.
Hah Yep..! I don't mind it so much when I'm using the controller considering I Bought it & All, but it does bug me when I let someone else use it & they wanna do the same shit ESPECIALLY if I dropped a good amount of money on it Ya Know.? (Xbox Elite Controller For Example) It was almost enough to hurt my feelings Lol. I'm Watching This & Thinking To Myself "Nah, Finish Your Food First & Go Wash Those Hands...Or Bring Your Own Damned Controller." Well, That About Does It For My Mini-Rant...Had A Friend Over Recently That Committed This Sin & Had to See if Someone Else Brought it up here.
Especially after going to the toilet, you should wash your hands anyway but covering the controller in crap isn't good for anyone, even if you're the only person who uses that controller. I live with some people who don't wash their hands even after wiping their ass so I keep all my things away from them and wash my hands often. Don't be like them.
additional habit: back seat gaming. many of us know someone, or knows someone who knows someone who does this kind of stuff. i have a brother that constantly tells me how to play games, including my own. this almost caused me to lose interest completely in a number of games, Skyrim and the first Fable game among them. and has lead to a few outbursts of anger aimed at said brother. (i've told him before to stop, and he doesn't listen because he seems to think he knows everything so he gets what he has coming. no cares to give about his feelings once that point has been reached) when i play a game, it is to relax and enjoy the work of art the gaming companies/developers make. and many games require quick reaction time, which includes quickly moving the analog sticks and rapidly pushing buttons. i move the analog sticks and push the buttons hard enough to get the characters and quick time events going, but not hard enough to outright break them. my brother thinks otherwise, and constantly nags me about it. i ignore it for the most part but there have been times where i've had to take a break from what i'm playing and go cool off, (because the back seat gaming has gone on for so long i now know what a volcano that's about to explose feels like) or i'm going to end up shutting his mouth for him. back seat gaming is a habit that needs to be nipped in the bud, before it becomes a health risk.
@rwsthedemonking I know, right? If a conversation between me and my brother reaches sentence three without an insult being thrown then one of us is going to think that the other is mad at them. I've spent my whole life fucking with my brother (I'd never let anyone else do that, of course.), now he's a foot and a half taller than me and basically a giant, and I'm still the only person in the world he doesn't think he can take. As it should be. Little brothers should know their place. Lol. For real, though, backseat gaming is a pain in the ass. That's why I don't play a lot of competitive games or mmos anymore, everyone's got a fuckin' opinion and has to share it if you're not doing exactly what you think they should.
Sorry I just can’t take noobs it physically hurts me seeing someone playing like an idiot on a game. Like never using certain features that are clearly needed. Like my friend on the Witcher 3 who is 10 hours in and still hasn’t made a potion.
My habit is holding in the pee that is making me sway back and fourth while I'm in the middle of a badass gamer moment. (Then run to the bathroom and do my biz real fast even if the game cant be paused.)
My gaming habits: -Bad Posture -Reloading after one shot -Putting the headsets mic in my mouth and chewing on it -Almost breaking things like my chair and controllers while playing -Crying and trying my hardest to hold myself together when the game disconnects
@@Mimsadoodle It's a shooting game of course and we all know that games that have guns are the games that we have the habit to shoot a bullet then reload constantly.
I wouldn’t really say it’s a habit but I do tend to complete EVERY side mission, objective and collectible before continuing the story. It prevents me from keeping up with everyone else.
Personally, doing everything you possibly can before continuing the story puts you ahead of everyone else, I do it too, I enjoy games far more when the story can be done at my own pace.
0:32 I always sit straight. *Even though I’m not straight* I’ve learned to sit against a wall or my chair. I’m only 13 Edit: I also have my own rules I’ve set for myself. I don’t eat near my gaming things because I hate messes on my electronics. I always keep my phone clean. I don’t mind drinks because I don’t tend to spill them.

Am I a sick person if I actually look forward to company meetings in different states because it means I get to binge play my PS Vita on the plane? Meh, then again I don't care. No regrets.
I do the bad posture thing, I lean forward a lot. Thankfully I don't do number six. To me, gaming is about fun. I'm thankful that as a kid I learned about gaming sportsmanship from Diddy Kong Racing. Look at how the first four bosses act, they encourage you when you lose and give you a warm congratulations when you win. I try to be the gamer who is always nice to her competition. After all, they're a person with feelings just like me, so I shouldn't do to them what I wouldn't want them to do to me. But that's why I don't do online gaming much. I prefer to play by myself at night with the lights off, generally console games. I do the ammo hoarding thing too. I sort of do number 3 and I only game at night, mostly because I have a sleep disorder and playing games is preferable to flopping around in bed. I'll admit I've thrown a controller a few times, but if I break someone else's controller, I'd buy them a new one and add in an additional five bucks as an apology. I do the long gaming sessions thing at night, too. Not like that, but like 8 hours, even waiting until I HAVE to go to take a bathroom break. I hate how I'm genuinely tempted to soil myself and keep playing, but thankfully never done that.
A year after I got my Xbox I told myself I need to start playing outside and playing sports and going biking and stuff with my friends again but by that time my friends all played Xbox a lot.
Same m8. I always try and fit time for the gym. My play time has been cut down by a good amount thanks to that, but I don't regret it. I feel great, look great, and can brag about being a healthy gamer boi
#1 is hard for me, so I appreciate how you were honest and forward about it, not telling us what to do but making it clear that taking breaks is for our sake and self control can lead to be better experience.

I HATE IT when someone uses my controller/keyboard with sticky hands... or When someone keeps an open drink too close and spills on your console/computer.
This so much,I don't mind Sharing a controller but I do have a firm rule to wash and thoroughly dry your hands before doing so,dont want any snack particles or questionable substances on it,just eww.
Things I do when I game Gamer posture -back arched forward -head and eyes straight at tv/screen -controller somewhere between my stomach and lap -elbows on laps -barely blinking Ammo hoarding -reload every 5 shots Starting a game before I have to do something -yeah I only do it to have an excuse”oh sorry mom I can’t go to bed yet I’m in an online match I can’t pause, save or switch it off.”(btw I hate when people don’t understand why I can’t pause an online thing) Not taking breaks -yeah,I’ll admit it and, though I’m not proud,I haven’t taken breaks as frequently as I should.
When my 10 year old says he is in an online match and cant get off i turn press the power button on the xbox. Idc if youre in an online match. Im the parent. This is a dictatorship. Go the fuck to bed

Thank you so much for doing what you can to get people to talk nicer to each other, communicate better, better their posture, take breaks etc. Things like these can, I kid you not, better both your life and the lives of your fellow gamers :)
Posture is everything...really posture is the most important thing in anything you do, back pain is one of the worst pain you will ever feel, and I am not talking about I slept in a bad position, but related to lumbar issues. Sleeping is nauseating, walking is almost imposible and sitting is torture. Posture, posture, posture. Our spines and shoulders are really flawed.
Speaking from experience, I recently really messed up my back and have been in constant pain in several spots for three months now. Don’t fuck with your posture, take breaks and go for walks. Moral of the story; don’t be lazy 24/7.
Dude I love your channel, I just started watching recently and I don't typically subscribe to many new channels or even like videos, but this video blew me away. Especially your final one, I think a lot ot people dont watch the time when they're playing and it goes by way too fast, and it's healthy to step out every now and then, I really loved the video
I think those words are more forgivable in violent competitive games. Is not like the people playing them are pure innocent humans who have sweared their entire life.
For #1, the people that have died probably did so from an embolism. When you sit that long you can develop a blood clot which then breaks free when you stand up and travels to you heart, lungs, or brain. That has happened to people on long flights also.
Wait really? I thought they died from starvation because they played for so long without eating or drinking. Well I know there are at least a couple of cases where that happened in Korea and China.
@@cbv7207 @CoKane It's called deep vein thrombosis and is a very real way to die. Your muscles contracting and relaxing acts as a pump, and helps the heart pump blood around your body. Sitting down, that doesn't work, so the blood moves very slowly and clots. As soon as you get up, that clot dislodged and travels up your blood stream. If it hits your brain, heart or lungs, you can die as said above. This is why they advice to do leg exercises on long flights, or when you're sitting for a long time.

Eating fried chicken and using controllers with greasy hands
Dude that right there is my day job
Roadhouse

Austin Hemmerly no need. Xbox has that covered with a “g r e a s e p r o o f” controller
Oh yeah yeah
I'm Watching This & Thinking To Myself "Nah, Finish Your Food First & Go Wash Those Hands...Or Bring Your Own Damned Controller."
Well, That About Does It For My Mini-Rant...Had A Friend Over Recently That Committed This Sin & Had to See if Someone Else Brought it up here.
😂
That person leaving in 20 min thing does screw up other people especially in gta heists when they leave randomly in the middle of it
It's just a game
How about buying games while they're on sale and never touching them? My back log has gotten a little out of hand..
Same here
What's wrong with that. Is not physically taking up Space and it is in the cloud so it doesn't take up computer storage space.
There really isn’t anything wrong with this, if anything having a backlog of games is a good thing because you’ll ALWAYS have things to play.
Same
XD I always do that
Always wash your hands before and after using a controller.
Huh i should start doing this
Especially after going to the toilet, you should wash your hands anyway but covering the controller in crap isn't good for anyone, even if you're the only person who uses that controller.
I live with some people who don't wash their hands even after wiping their ass so I keep all my things away from them and wash my hands often. Don't be like them.
Thanks ducky daddy
Oh yeah
That’s a good one. Mine is: always clean your controllers before company comes over.
additional habit: back seat gaming. many of us know someone, or knows someone who knows someone who does this kind of stuff.
i have a brother that constantly tells me how to play games, including my own. this almost caused me to lose interest completely in a number of games, Skyrim and the first Fable game among them. and has lead to a few outbursts of anger aimed at said brother. (i've told him before to stop, and he doesn't listen because he seems to think he knows everything so he gets what he has coming. no cares to give about his feelings once that point has been reached)
when i play a game, it is to relax and enjoy the work of art the gaming companies/developers make. and many games require quick reaction time, which includes quickly moving the analog sticks and rapidly pushing buttons. i move the analog sticks and push the buttons hard enough to get the characters and quick time events going, but not hard enough to outright break them. my brother thinks otherwise, and constantly nags me about it.
i ignore it for the most part but there have been times where i've had to take a break from what i'm playing and go cool off, (because the back seat gaming has gone on for so long i now know what a volcano that's about to explose feels like) or i'm going to end up shutting his mouth for him.
back seat gaming is a habit that needs to be nipped in the bud, before it becomes a health risk.
The only people who like backseat gaming are backseat gamers themselves; frustrating is frustrating no matter how you split it
I think the true problem is your extreme overreactions...
Yeah, im guilty as hell. I've tried to stop, and keep my mouth shut when someone else play
my habit is always reloading even if i’m on the middle of a gun fight , and then i die because of that😟
My habit is holding in the pee that is making me sway back and fourth while I'm in the middle of a badass gamer moment.
(Then run to the bathroom and do my biz real fast even if the game cant be paused.)
Same, I always do this
Maybe they should have a pause, and your avatar is taking a whizz! LOL
And when you get to be about 35, you're going to have prostate cancer.

My gaming habits:
-Bad Posture
-Reloading after one shot
-Putting the headsets mic in my mouth and chewing on it
-Almost breaking things like my chair and controllers while playing
-Crying and trying my hardest to hold myself together when the game disconnects
me too but its ALL NATURAL
OMG so i'm not alone. I think I have reloaded my gun in the division 2 more than I have actually fired bullets haha.
The reload one bullet thing is gonna be a really bad habit for me once I got my hands on Borderlands 3 when it comes out in September.
@@JinxGoober_03 Why? I don't know much about that game
YES CONFESS MY BROTHER
I do that way too often.. Still haven't finished Red Dead 2 or Witcher 3 because of that!
I was about to type the same thing that "wendoven" posted about "red dead 2" and "the witcher" lol.
Personally, doing everything you possibly can before continuing the story puts you ahead of everyone else, I do it too, I enjoy games far more when the story can be done at my own pace.
Is there a name for this?like hoarder's?
Cause i definitely have this problem 😑
That thumbnail triggered my PTSD from when my friend ruined my controller.
No.1 is *ILLEGAL* I played once 28 hours straight on a pc.
My record is 3 days straight I'm not proud of this either 🙁
How could you be so entertained with a game, don't you get bored? The most I can play if 3 hours

That's a painfully weird habit

Clash of clans is lit but I do understand where your coming from

Edit: I also have my own rules I’ve set for myself. I don’t eat near my gaming things because I hate messes on my electronics. I always keep my phone clean. I don’t mind drinks because I don’t tend to spill them.

What's your job ?
I'm glad I'm not the only person who has thought about just pissing lol
I like how I'm watching this video relating to video gaming, then get an ad about going outside more and buy more sports gear!😂

Paying for XP points/boost
Paying for in game currency
Paying for points to buy card packs
Basically giving greedy shareholders backed publishers "free money"
If you don't pay for in-game currency or any other things that support the publishers or the game creators they are gonna see they don't get any revenue from the game they made which would be worthless for them and they would shut down the game which would result in you not being able to pay that game so yeah....

@@bl8428 calling someone a theif or stabbing you in the back. Or getting ganged up on
For #1, the people that have died probably did so from an embolism. When you sit that long you can develop a blood clot which then breaks free when you stand up and travels to you heart, lungs, or brain. That has happened to people on long flights also.
Are you seriouse or am i just dumb and don't understand a joke.
