Yes, rally cars are slow. In a rally race you have to run after it across a stage that can run quite a distance. The last one I set up was over 1/4 mile long. You think you could chase that doing 60mph? or even control it through hairpins?

And that's why I bought a HPI , comes with brushless and metal shafts.. for about the same $ The only issue my hpi had is it came with a servo that wasn't as strong as I'd like
Your Traxxas is quite slow , probably you are driving it in beginner mode otherwise a well tuned RC car is actually more first than those kinds can chase. I think you are not using the sport mode as I know traxxas ESC's are normally locked out of the box and comes with two modes of driving. sports mode being so aggressive.
Nope that's all the new Rally's got it is brushed running 2s watch the rest of the series you'll see that it was taken from brushed to brushless. You also get to see that the gearing had to be changed and the slipper clutch assembly changed to run 3s. So watch the rest of the series and you'll see

ESC is in 50% power mode for sure. Same thing happened on my 4 tec.
How do you get it out of that

Rally are really supposed to be quick, not fast. For ripping around curves and switchbacks it's perfect.
It drives like a real car I just got my feista yesterday fuckin love it bro 🤘

Damn slow out of the box! Think my TRX4 Defender with the hw axe combo I have in it is faster than that....windows should be clear also...
