Best of all though is music wire which can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or like craft stores. These come in long sticks that you can cut into a ton of pins.

I used metal wire. I shoved it in where the pin gose wrapped it around and then cut the access off. I have a few other options I'm gonna try. ........My only thought on yours isthe drive shaft is gonna break no where near the o ring it's happened to me. When that happens and u have to remove that screw to remove the shaft how hard is it to cut the shrink off to get the screw out ???

BACK WHEN I PICKED UP MY THEN-NEW MINI-T 1.0, I HAD ISSUES LOSING THE WHEEL PIN. THE ORIGINAL MINI-T DID NOT HAVE A HEX ON THE REAR DRIVE. I WENT TO THE HOBBY STORE AND PICKED UP A ROD THAT IS USED ON RC PLANES FOR SERVO TO CONTROL SURFACES. I CUT THE ROD TO LENGTH AND ENDED UP GETTING MANY PINS OUT OF IT. I STILL HAVE THAT ROD AND HAVE USED IT FOR OTHER THINGS SINCE. BTW, FIX THE FLAG. I CAN SEE HOW IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN OVERLOOKED. It’s a $150-$170 hobby grade toy that Traxxas has marketed and engineered for said market. Every part is minimal yet effective as designed. The more weight and flex and such added, the more you will twist and torque parts that were not designed for said twist and torque.
      Hobby grade means upgrading.
