This gray is prettier than the original sold! I also just bought a defender in green with some upgrades (white roof, white injora alloy rim, traxxas brass weights, led kit.. etc etc) I hesitated for a long time with the FCX24 chevy which is coming soon but the traxxas has more good points as far as I am concerned. With traxxas we have the guarantee that it is really waterproof, the system of clips for the bodywork is brilliant and what about the bigger oil shock absorbers without counting the many parts available immediately!! The 1/18th is perfect for the ballad (it fits in a backpack) and perfect for the interior! The 1/10 is too big and the 1/24 too small.. We can say all we want about Traxxas and some of its sales policies, but we must admit that they have released a great product at a good price and in the right size. All that's missing is the FCX24's two-speed gearbox and it would have been perfect. I look forward to other beautiful old sccol bodywork for this chassis (an old Bronco or a jeep or why not a Chevy!) I specify that it is my very 1st traxxas and I am super happy with it, the quality is very very good there is nothing to say!
Nice job on the Defender build. I had a hard time picturing the green and grey together but once it was finished I must say the colours look great together!!
Great build. Both my Bronco and Defender got the Treal treatment. I put a Holmes motor in my Defender now I think I will have to get that Furitek motor!!!!
I also bought the TRX4M Defender and was disappointed how it handled itself straight out of the box. So being on sick leave and couldn't leave the house I also bought every single part of Injora accessories. But I'm hesitate about the base plate because it seems like a lot of work to disassemble and reassemble it😅. Tomorrow I gonna install the axles and honestly I don't want to take it outside anymore because it looks so good now 🎉. So I'm thinking of buying a second one and just do the basic stuff and take it outside getting muddy 😂
That looks awesome. How much of the original car is left would you guess? Also, is the outrunner motor sensored, the low speed control was great.. I don't know anything about smaller motors or outrunners

I’ve put an ungodly amount of money into my trx4m… and I’m getting that orange body defender. Injora, treal, and meus are swimming in my money. Only thing that’s left Traxxas, are the axle housings.
Can anyone recommend a set of allen keys for the TRX4M? I've tried all the decent brand ones I have at home already (Wera, Bondhus, Paramount, Elkind, Britool etc) and all of them struggle with the bolts in the TRX4M, everytime I go to undo something that was done up from factory the bolt head starts to round off, I have a few bolts on there now that are completely rounded.
Traxxas fleet growing,believe I noticed you've never done a proper 1/10 short course,get you a slash ultimate, fan for esc n motor,you'll see wat the fuss is about,spoiler alert the chassis one of the lowest there is n make a great 2wd speed chassis
@@brianlangford7278 Senton 3s BLX is better than a Slash. Cheaper, Tougher and just as fast. Better as a Basher anyway… may not be as good on a track as a Slash
So far I’ve super glued the outside lip of the rim to the tire, snipped off the mud guards, drilled a whole in the rear bumper to pull out my childhood hesstrucks lol it’s so much fun, I just can’t afford these kind of upgrades
500$£ is a lot to throw at upgrades for a small crawler however good they make it.I think I would have spent the money on a1\10 trail / crawler that was pretty good any way. Nice video though 😀😀😀

hardly anything left on it is traxxas anymore, it's nearly a completely different RC 4X4 vehicle now 😁 . If it was me i wouldn't have even been bothered to paint the new body shell, I'd have kept it white 🤣 .
I'd like to get a TRX-4m but I'd like to get a 60s or 70s body for it. I like how landrover went with vintage and rugged look but the so called bronco looks like doo doo.

I love my power wagon/ bellydragger the 2 speed trans is what sold me I love that you can take it in your car with you if you have time it can keep up with you walking like if you want go trailing. You don't have to change out gears like the M. But what pisses me off is what traxxas did to the small guy aftermarket parts sellers suing them and making them stop selling stuff for the M. Just so people have to buy there aftermarket parts 🙄 IMO it will hurt there sales more than help. This is why I don't support them. Now with fms blazer I'm sure traxxas is not happy about there sales
@@nate4024 I completely understand and for the most part agree. I just want my high trail f150 and then I’ll never look at traxxas again. I already had my 4m and trx4 before it happened and it definitely makes me look at them in a different light.
@@paulclancy2404 they can’t do anything about FMS on this one. FMS went through the proper channels. It’s all their own developed system and fully license body and tires. Traxxas can suck it on this one.

Just finished my ultimate build, threw every single Injora part at it and topped it off with a full furitek system, mine is 4WS too 😊

Because it's easy to make mistakes and get the wrong Items wrong size.
I like that outrunner motor set up. I like those TRX-4M's, but I honestly have enough in the way of RC's.
I think crawling is one side of rc I won't ever ignore. It's a load of fun. Nice video mate.

Awesome build. Hope you have better luck with the gears then I did. I've stripped the gears in the transmission and both diffs.🤦♂️

I’ve had a Senton 3s and got an FTX Zorro Brushless… both good short course trucks 👌

It's no FMS, I'll never buy a traxxas they are just over priced and there is just way too many better options. IMO
I had an doug power wagon first, and mostly stock it out crawls a 4m. But I enjoy building different chassis.
