What Delightful Regional TV Commercials! I love Mr. Tom Carvel's warm voice as the narrator & all the ice cream desserts look delicious & colorfully attractive! A wholesome family business that I really want to enjoy someday. I grew up here on the West Coast in Southern California & I've never been to East Coast, except for a short visit down South to Atlanta & Tampa but I'd love to vacation in the NorthEast someday & visit one of the Carvel stores!
I'll never forget these ads, I had seen them when I was living in Dania, FL. Just hearing his voice makes you want to go out and get the wonderful treats. There's nothing like Carvel, it's the best.
I always felt I had to get ice cream from there when he always said Thank You. We had one in my hometown, but didn't last very long..early 80's. But always loved his ads and his sincerity in his voice.
the Carvel ice cream cakes sold in the supermarkets are not the same as the ones in the stores but they are just as expensive. I wish there were more of the stand alone Carvel ice cream shops, these cakes look really awesome.
Carvel cakes really were the best. I have no idea if they're still around but from my childhood memories they were amazing. My aunt used to hold a Thanksgiving Day party every year that featured a couple of ice cream turkeys.
When I was a kid I used to love the Parfait, and my favorite was the double chocolate parfait. They were pre made, and you'd take off the lid and that would become the base. I also used to love a Carvel ice cream Sunday where they make it in a mini upside down MLB batting helmet. I think they probably had all the teams, but I remember the Mets and Yankees.
The voiceover was done by Tom Carvel, who invented the world's first soft-serve ice cream machine and was the founder of Carvel. His terrible voiceovers were part of the charm of those old Carvel commercials. :-)
“You know, that’s Cookie Puss, but he’s dressed up like an Irishman.” Thank you, Mr. Carvel.

If only Lee Harvey Oswald had used one as body armor...
Paddy O’Cripply
Wow, it is so trippy to see these after all these so many years later. Brings back memories. Wild.

I can make children's birthday party out of this world
Tom Carvel, an American Original.
All of birthday cakes from my childhood came from carvel from mid 80s through early 90s
Oh I want some. Despite the commercial.
I remember kid ice cream and Eskimo pie sidewalk sundae
Paddy O' Crippily!
*LESS AAAAAAIRRRRRR*
I used 2 love me some Carvel ice cream as a kid
That's right!!
A stupid flashback brought me here.
Shame Of The City: "Santa Claus and Fudgie The Whale Are The Same Guy" ~~Late Night With David Letterman 1982.
I want that
Always thought the Carvel Narrator was a black guy.
Proof that Fudgie the whale started out as a white cake. Nobody believed me.
Is commercial from now doesn't seem You're kind of nice Back then it was awesome in the nineties and eighties
patton oswalt brought me here
Is he buying ?
My childhood memories brought me here
OMG what is with that 90 year old man doing the voiceovers who doesn't know what diction is? "HEHEHE KNOWHOHOHOS...HOWGOODITIS. thankyuh."

Ah that would explain it lol. Definitely more charming than a typical pro voice over artist.
He honors most major credit cards.
Buffbino didn’t he get murdered?
He was pushing his Cookie O'Puss.
Is anyone else here because of The beastie boys?
Yea
Absolutely NOT!
Why ‘Cookie O’ Puss’ when ‘Cook O’ Puss’ was right there!?
Fudgie The Whale. The great grandfather of LIZZO.
This is terrifying
I think I just came....
