Sam I’ve heard the same thing “oh you married a Filipina bc you can’t get an American woman”. It’s like dude I’ve been there done that you can have them all lol. More for you buddy, you keyboard warrior. I mean not all western women are bad partners but the culture has shifted the ideology of our roles and made so many women present as masculine and less feminine so much so that I’m ok taking a hard pass on relationships in the west. If I was single my saying is this, “if you ain’t a Filipina don’t talk to me” lol.
I feel the same Jake. Haven’t dated, uh let me correct that haven’t even looked at a western woman in 17year. I know shouldn’t prejudge. My last 17yrs has been so much different than the previous 40. Take care Jake. Be safe
@JakeandJesset I felt I was the luckiest man when I stumbled onto the Philippines. You are very fortunate to find a special someone in the Philippines. Congrats!
LOL, "Can't make it in the U.S." I'm making it in the US and wishing I was in the Philippines. My girlfriend is from the Philippines and we're both struggling in San Diego. In 47 other US states we'd be "rich" but here we're spending unreasonable money just to survive. I think people who comment like that don't understand that they're not making it in the US either. In about 10 years or so when I retire, we'll move to the Philippines and understand that "making it" is about finding a stable peace away from corporate America.
What’s a Fifthrider? Hey thanks for joining us…I love your comment…it’s good when someone else says it, instead of me…by the way, you guys are going to love it in the Philippines…it’s amazing here…
Little bit…but not half as expensive as the USA ..look…the cost of labor in the USA is $20 / hour working at McDonald…the cost of labor in the Philippines is $8 a day working at McDonalds…nahhh Philippines is not expensive…
I would rather be a middle class Texan than a rich Filipino. Any day of the week. All the money in the world doesn't mean anything if what you want to buy isn't available. My wife agrees.
Hmmm I’ve haven’t found anything I wanted to buy that’s not available in the Philippines… and I think Amazon will deliver to the Philippines too…and if I want it bad enough I’ll just fly there and pick it up in person. 😄…thanks for the comment electric.
@@SAMLAMB Depends on what you are looking for. Different lifestyles. My wife used to get up at 4AM every morning to go to the market via jeep. Now we load up the trunk of the car once a week while my car is parked in a huge lot with ample space and then we load that all up in my big fat American Whirlpool refrigerator, and our food shopping worries are done for the week. My wife used to scrub laundry by hand and hang it to dry. As a luxury to her and her family she bought one of those small asian washers you can get for about $80 with money she earned as an OFW before we met. Now we load up the big fat American Whirlpool washer that has extra capacity and can even handle blankets and comforters. And when that now 7 year old washer breaks, which it actually just did .. I can get replacement parts in for it THE VERY NEXT DAY. Electricity is twice as expensive in the Philippines as it is in the US, per KW hour. 13 cents vs 13 peso, roughly. Yet we use 10 times as much. Which means if you arent doing that in the Philippines you dont have the power requirements because you dont have the stuff that make life convenient. Like the aircon. I can have someone to come out and fix my aircon the very next day and chances are if it needs parts, same thing. Cant always say that in the Philippines. But the number one reason my wife gets scared every time I watch videos like this and start to contemplate retirement in the Philippines is the chismis. It can be freaking brutal there in the provinces. Even before we were dating she didnt like it. Now you make youself a target even more by dating a foreigner? No thanks. She absolutely does not want to go back. Do you know how much age and sex discrimination there is in the Philippines against women? Its brutal. Good luck landing and keeping a good job over there past the age of 40 if you are a woman. I could be dead before she's 50. I have to worry about not only her survival but the lives of our kids. They are ALL better off with better opportunities in the US. Especially our daughter. My son could fit in pretty well. He got his mothers skin. Our daughter turned out white. She would get eaten alive over there. No way I could do that to her. Honestly the idea of marrying a pretty little Filipina to be your loving partner and lifting her up and giving her a better life and LEAVING HER THERE seems to be one of the most selfish and cruel things you can do to a nice girl imaginable if you really love her.
