Just bought a 2013 Tahoe with 62k miles. Has after market wheels, exhaust and headlights. Very good condition. All black with black interior. It is a beautiful beast.
@@mohammedalalwani4787 These SUV's are EXCELENT. I have had no issues with mine. You can easily get well over 200k miles on it. I'd certainly buy another one.
@modmatt1 I agree with you that the seat sits low due to this arrangement and that's not great for sure, but most of these third rows I wouldn't want to spend even a second in and I felt like in the Tahoe I could at least make it on a short trip...and the kids had no issues. The Expedition does do a nice job with the 3rd row legroom but gives up a significant amount of cargo room behind the second row with the 3rd row removed.
I used to own a 4X4 pickup. There is nothing in the world like driving a large truck/SUV. I would like to see a fresh look for the Tahoe myself. I do believe it will be within the next couple of years.
I always have liked the Tahoe 2001-2012, They have the designs of great looks.the newer Tahoe's have new designs but not the good looks like the old Tahoe's. I know everyone has a choice of designs of vehicles so I respect that.
I remember seeing in another review that the hybrid option for the chevy tahoe compromises braking ability, power-steering and handling for the fuel economy. If that's the case then I'm wondering if I should pick a gas guzzler that is less likely to rear-end someone (if I have to slam on the breaks in rush hour) vs something that trades safety for fuel economy. Can't confirm. If anyone here knows otherwise, please comment b/c I'm wondering if I should replace my current tahoe with a new one.
@stevehammes Thanks for responding and mean no disrespect - appreciate the well done review. The current Expedition's 3rd row doesn't need to be removed as it folds flat forward into the floor, but does concede a few cu ft when compared to the tahoe since you take it with you 55 vs. 60.3 cu ft behind 2nd row. Not that significant IMO for much added convenience and the split seats need to be removed in the Tahoe for that max space, not just folded. Direct comparison video review please?
Oh yeah your right. I should have said solid rear axle instead of BOF. Anyways I hope they don't change the Tahoe,Yukon, etc except perhaps a better interior.
@stevehammes I'm with you and Waffleeater1; Nissan made the Pathfinder a large crossover. Plenty of Nissan Pathfinder enthusists will be greatly dissapointed. I doubt the Tahoe or Suburban will go to this route. I'll take a Tahoe to tow a boat and to bring a lot of passengers.
I hope that GM doesn't switch to a crossover design for the Chevy Tahoe/Suburban. It is a nice old body on frame SUV that can do 200,000 miles if well taken care of and is solidly built too. I hope it stays that way.
i want to see a challenge between chevy tahoe vs ford expedition vs nissan armada vs toyota sequoia there is a video of this challenge but i can not get it
they won't, because people who buy these beasts need them for towing and carrying lots of people, not me though, i would buy one of these because im a clostraphobic and cars are just too cramped for me, unless it's somthing like a ford crown victoria or a good old chevy caprice
actually the Liberty is a "un", which is a unibody with an integrated ladder frame for strength and ridgidity, just like the old XJ Cherokee, and the new upcoming Tahoe and Yukon are still BOF fullsize SUV's, and so is the upcoming Suburban and Yukon XL
Plenty of room in the 3rd row? You are eating your knees! Try an Expedition with the independent rear and proper floor height and you see what plenty of 3rd row room is supposed to feel like. Would love to see the new 5.0L in a freshened Expedition and for the Tahoe to get a major update. Wish I could mix the best of all the makes and come up with the perfect large SUV.
They might with all this downsizing stuff going on. Ford already has abandoned body on frame suvs save the Expedition/ Navigator, which is on its last legs. Chrysler has only two body on frame suvs left, the Liberty and wrangler.
@jimmyhoffa9 as an over all offroad capable suv, nothing beats the land cruiser. its reliablility is unsurpassed and great offroad and very comfy on road and great engines including the diesels. it will still be good as new after 10 years.
I'll rather have and get so much more quality, value, and up to date perks in a 2012 Ford Expedition King Ranch with every option checked off for less than $59K.
It's sort of meh. About 8.5 seconds to 60 with the 5.3. The 6.2 liter can bring that down in the mid to high 6 range but nothing barn storming. (At least by today's standards but way more livable.)
@macktenful That;s what I thought. I saw it on either Car and Driver or Motor trend's website. Hopefully, it goes the way others are going. That is towards more of a European type look.
i like the old 90's tahoes better and i'm the proud owner of a 99' Tahoe LT, these are just too car like and have too much plastic and flimsy sheet metal
I just do not like these trucks. the only thing great out of it is 4WD some good room and reliability. mileage, no. interior, hell no. tech, no. ride quality? eh. i just find unless your towing or something a car like this wont make sense. want room.. theres plenty of car based much nicer better handling options out there and if you REALLY want room there are minivans that can trump this in a 0-60.
*recently bought back their stocks from the government. This means their products will get better and better. As evident in all their cars being built in the USA! Sonic made 100% in Michigan. I’m looking at one that has 82k on it. A soccer mom has it now
I Finally Payed Off My 2011 Tahoe And It Was Worth Every Penny Its Still Going Strong
me as a german i love those big american SUV/Cars
america is great
Late to the game, I just bought one of these, and I love it.
Hi dear, can I ask u which model you have and is it relabel car ? Do u advice me to get one?

Many thanks for reply brother really appreciated 🌹
You are not late Im planning to get one as soon as I keep working smart :)
It's time for an update but i still think this is a very handsome SUV.

One of the best American cars ever
I own one and I loooooove it
Is it a lot of malfunctions or not?
Great Review, as an owner of five different Tahoes, the most recent of which is a 2010 version, thanks for an honest review.
I used to own a 4X4 pickup. There is nothing in the world like driving a large truck/SUV. I would like to see a fresh look for the Tahoe myself. I do believe it will be within the next couple of years.
Yes, I prefer the Tahoe to the land cruiser.
If I had a family and I towed a lot, this would be the vehicle for me. Except I would get a Suburban with the LTZ package. Not the Tahoe.
These body on frame trucks will never die americans love them.
Chevy had done a very good job of this Tahoe!

Still looks sharp after all these years.

@stevehammes I really like this design, hope they don't change it too much
land cruise= tank for normal ppl
Tahoe= all about comfort and smartness
The Suburban has it all over the tahoe but still a great review.
Thanks!!! I decided to go Escalade after comparing both vehicle and now Just waiting for Right deal to come. : )
Great Family Vehicle we have a 2007 we love it it drives like a dream plenty power
Rick Avila what is the life span of a Tahoe, like how many miles can you get out of it? Are the tires expensive to replace?
In my opinion, I prefer this old and classic look more than the new one. It's too complicated, my friends agree with me
nice car...how fast is it ?
Oh yeah your right. I should have said solid rear axle instead of BOF. Anyways I hope they don't change the Tahoe,Yukon, etc except perhaps a better interior.
The only thing the Tahoe and the Suburban need are fold-to-the-floor 3rd rows. Like the Navigator/Expedition.

Nice, this is my dream suv
@TheAlexv6 It's in the works for first half of 2013 as a 2014 model.

Besides the insides I still like these better than the new ones built a lot better to
It looks like something from the early 90s :o( Interior not as bad as I imagined :o)
My uncle have a 2012 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 and its only getting 14 mpg combine
Buy Tahoe Ltz or Pre owned Cadillac Escalade platinum and tell me opinion because i'm having tough time deciding!!!
My family owns a Chevy suburban and its a great SUV but it does hurt at the Pump!
So I take it GM isn't discontinuing the Tahoe?
Gm needs to finally drop the pushrod engines in their trucks. The 5.0 in the F150 makes more power than all four 6.0's GM had.
Mr. Chapman, why are you so opposed to American vehicles? The Tahoe sells well for a reason. GM has Recent
i want to see a challenge between

People don't realize that there is a hybrid model that gets 23 mpg highway. Both V-8 (5.3L and 6.2L) that has the cylander shutoff.

@stevehammes i heard they're putting it on a version of the platform underpinning the Acadia, Traverse, and Enclave.
@stevehammes do I think there will be a redesign pretty soon?
Is that the same engine that the Impala SS had?
@stevehammes Did you see it in person?
that's because most people who buy suv's need them
i love my tahoe and would highly suggest it to anyone
@EMdemo Yes. It's a concept but it's not looking good.
They used to in the 1995-1999 model year i think
I just wish they'll improve the interior design for the model
I expect GM to redesign this car in the same way that Nissan did to the Pathfinder.
sure grand cherokee is a great competitor but i want a full siz suv challenge
Unless i got 15,000 M.S.R.P. i might consider buying one
They might with all this downsizing stuff going on. Ford already has abandoned body on frame suvs save the Expedition/ Navigator, which is on its last legs. Chrysler has only two body on frame suvs left, the Liberty and wrangler.

1997 Astro kicking Sandy's Wrath AWD style :P
can it? name another full size suv for around that price...
@MondoBongoz The design of the z71 makes the truck stand out
are you going to be doing a yukon

the power ratings are soo depressing for a 5.3.
Wow almost 60K? Personally at that point, I'd spend a bit extra and get a Lincoln Navigator instead.
Please explain why the country is littered with Tahoes and I rarely ever even see a land cruiser
I think land cruisers are boring as hell and ugly I see them alot in other countries tho that's just my opinion
@ivarsrini No.

European centre consoles aren't that big because our cars are less than the U.S-expected 50 meters wide...
wow...59k...that's a lot for a Tahoe

Because its alot cheaper and its more patriotic to buy this (im not even american im just pointing out that it may be looked at this way)
