my cruze eco has just arrived 3 days ago. i ordered it fully loaded, you can order the car with a spare tire, witch i did. i have about 150 miles on the car, and i love it. The stereo is the upgraded version and it is worth it. the nav system is a little tricky to get used to, but after about 5 minutes it is not so bad. i would recommend this car if your looking to save money without sacrificing luxury.
I got one. It's a nice little car. My wife picked up on driving the manual very quickly, and once you are used to the first gear it's a wonderful car to drive. Handles nice, shifts nice, has decent power and acceleration. I've clocked a 0-60 in 10.3 seconds. Very impressive for stock off the lot. The brakes work and feel great, also it has great safety ratings with 10 airbags. Although sticker price of $21,000ish, I picked mine up with 88 miles for 18,900.

Have a and love the 2011 ECO, feels safe has about 10 airbags, sporty feel, comfortable ride and great gas mileage. You do have to downshift to pass, once you know the car you will love it.
Ok so I hear Mazda3, Hyundai Elantra and Honda Civic have considerable road noise. How does the2012 cruze compare to the 2012 ford focus in terms of road noise while driving? Please shed some light on this. Cheers.
My drives of Insight and Civic CVTs were both fun. Of course they both had "low" and "sport" modes to move the engine to 3000rpm or redline and give more power on demand. I don't know why you think this would not be fun.
I have a 2012 eco,, fun car overall but yeah anyone that buys one thinking "Turbo means fast" is going to be very sad lol. These cars are not meant for FAST but they are a blast to drive quickly through corners.
I love Steve reminding us about the "ABS" decals we saw on the 90's Chevys...too funny. If i was driving thousands of miles a week this might be my choice cuz hybrids are for wussies. But I dont drive that far. So a F-150 ecoboost or a V6 Charger Rallye with 8 speed are my current choices in October. Not a bad car for 21k either.
Don't even get me STARTED with CVTs. They're the worst. It's The CVT'S that are "fun for 6 months, then they suck." (Actually, they are fun for only like 8 seconds, not 6 months.)
Oh yeah? Just ask the Nissan Versa. Or the Sentra. Or the Altima. Look, my point is: Those CVT's, are awful. And how on earth you say that the Insight's CVT is fun, I will never know. The best CVT car in the world today (that I can think of) is the Honda Accord.

I have to agree. this is the best car out there. drive like a V6 so much torque...
For those who say where is the CVT or dual clutch transmissions. Neither one of those systems compare to a real auto or manual 6speed.

I used to have a '94 Pontiac Grand Am that boasted an ABS badge on the rear decklid, like it was a big deal. Ha!
