We’ve owned and surfed several premium surf boats. We absolutely love our Ri245 and it’s the best surf wave by far. It’s not just the power, long sweet spot and adjustability of the wave, the deep V hull flattens out the chop better than the flatter hulls on other wake boats. It’s a much smoother surface to surf on. Demo one (like we did) and you’ll be sold!

It’s not Lowers but if you can’t surf an ocean wave this is the boat. This is the first boat I’ve surfed behind that felt like a wave I would paddle out for - and it never ends.

What kind of settings and speed do you guys run in the ri 245?
Great question! There are a lot of really good settings but here is a good baseline to start at:
All Ballast - 100
Drain off-side Ramfill to 80
Center Stinger Plate - 10
Quicksurf Plate - 70
Speed - 11.8mph
That is the most popular setup for an average person. You can then adjust the Quicksurf and/or Stinger plate up to mellow out the wave or down to make it steeper. You can also speed up which will make the wave longer or slow down to stack it up taller.
@@BoardCo We bought a new 2022 Ri 245 last year from BoardCo and I will honest I have tried these setting and I am struggling to get my wave to look and feel like you have shown in your videos. Don't get me wrong we LOVE our Ri 245 and wouldn't want any other surf boat but Im not sure what Im doing wrong? We live in St George so Sand Hollow is our home turf... I would really appreciate any help/ suggestions.
@@brettcarter1729 Thanks for chiming in! If you want to send us a picture or even better a video of your wave and your dash settings we can let you know exactly what is going on and if there is something that isn't working properly.
Most of the issues we see are people running the quicksurf and stinger plate too high. Most of the time we are running at 0 on stinger and 60 or 65 on quicksurf with a speed around 11.2 to 11.8mph. We see a lot of people running stinger plate at 30-50 or quicksurf at 75-85. You can run the plates that high, but you will have a more mellow wave with less overall power (which is great for some people).
What happens if you add a surf mode suck gate or two to a Centurion?
A surf wedge works great for the older Centurion models, the newer Centurions (2014 and newer) have surf systems to do the same thing.
Surfmode will increase the height of the wave but will decrease the length of the wave. Tabs make a wave longer.
