I tried this using 7 spice and more salt and no tomatoes. It was phenomenal. Also i used a pressure cooker for 50 mins. Made it super tender.

Better then any hamburgers that for sure, we in saudi arabia we cut tomatoes way smaller or grind it, it must the skin of tomatoes when it serve can't be seen, I think you put too much water in rice unless you like it this way.

Yes, correct, this type of rice is a bite wet, add a little less if you like
