    I love what you are doing in informing the people on how beautiful Mississippi really is. I was raised in New York and all we ever heard were the things that happened in the past or watched movies like Mississippi burning. Many people still think its like that and they are so wrong about that beautiful state. Thanks for all the work you guys do to keep us informed.

      I hear it all the time from people we talk to thinking about moving here, wondering if it really is as bad as they’ve always heard. I love talking to them after they get here and spend some time seeing how friendly the people are and how beautiful of a place it is. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!

    As a Texas resident and product of JXN.. I’ve honestly contemplated moving back home … I work from home and the cost of living is in JXN has been really attractive lately! These rent prices in Texas definitely for the rich and increasing🥴

      I also live in Houston, Texas and grew up in Mississippi about 20 mins outside of Jackson. I left maybe 12 years ago but, as my parents age I’ve considered moving back. Just wished the state would progress so much more. I’ve traveled so much from Brazil to Morocco, Italy, and etc. it’s so hard trying to talk myself into moving back home.

    I am moving to the area after living far away for over 10 years. I was born and raised in Clinton. When looking to where to buy, I entertained the idea of doing what every one else seems to be doing. That being move to Madison or Flowood. None of them appealed to me due to being too much traffic and no character. North Jackson was the only place around that I really desired to move to. It's pretty much near everything, the traffic isn't nearly as bad, everything doesn't look the same, as well as it being beautiful in its own way with character.

      There certainly is something to the character of the older areas as opposed to the new development suburbs. If we can help you find a new home here, let me know! 601.292.6070.

      I feel the same way about it. I really hate to see the issues it has and its not fair to ignore them, but at the same time it seems like there are too many out there that just like running it down.

      @@LivingInJackson Its well beyond issues at this point, its institutionalized anti white racism, bad water, closed businesses, rape, robberies, gun violence, a city council of low IQ race pimps, a corrupt power company, A corrupt police force and sheriffs dept, bad job opportunities, every single neighborhood is a Hood now, basically everything is wrong. "Issues" would be like complaints over housing costs or too many stray dogs or something.

    To be real it is the colleges that hold jackson down..
    Jackson STATE in particular. Mississippi college, Belhaven, Millsaps, hinds, tugaloo college, Holmes
    And on top of that it is cheap and has alot of potential

    What would you say is the average rent for a 600 sq ft one bedroom apartment in Jackson?

    • @LivingInJackson
      @LivingInJackson  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We don’t really deal with rentals so I’m not sure, but probably around $500-$600 in Jackson. More like $700 or so for the entire metro area. Luxury apartments in some areas could easily get over $1100 even for a 1 bedroom. I could be off on these numbers just because it been a while since I’ve looked into it and prices have changed
