ok so probably nobody is gonna read this, and if someone does, they might not care at all.. but i have a philosophy teacher that is basically him, he's got his same height, he's skinny, brown haired etc and they have the same way of speaking, moreover with this deep, philosophical stuff... i can't even process, they're too similar, it's like they're siblings or something idk... i feel so weird abt it because he plays piano and, liking muse, it's like everyday matt bellamy is teaching philosophy to me... i'm fucced. Edit 5 yrs later. This yt comment had some sort of public ig and I wanna give an update just because nostalgia and the latest comment. Well turns out I was actually quite driven to this teacher for obv reasons, but I never would've guessed he could be driven to me, which he was. Got involved in a 'situation' that shouldn't have happened in the first place but yk life comes at you fast sometimes. Long story short, I dated him and although the resemblance was uncanny, there wasn't much of a rockstar in him, it was very much an aesthetic resemblance more than anything. Still had fun and felt cool but also quite bad a few times, age gap and interests too wide to fill up, weird things he was into, gave me different traumas etc. I ended it cause I was taken aback by some of his requests, almost two years into it, got depressed, developed an interest in philosophy, kept listening to muse even though it made me more depressed and made me think of him. Its over for good but fsr I still wanted to tell the story, I guess this space feels safe enough to. Thanks for reading

Classical music + Rock = Unique = MUSE ...And here we see Matt's philosophical side: Fascinating *.* the whole idea of "moving from being one person to another person" and the consequent "loss of self" that he mentions is something that I couldn't agree more.
It's tough to hear, but he's right. We are born alone and we will die alone. Everyone that comes into our lives over the years will eventually leave us. A partner, a great friend... they can all become part of your past very easily, but you'll still be you. Even with Dom and Chris, who are his best friends of over 30 years. There was a Matt Bellamy before he met them, and there will still be Matt if they ever leave his life. That's why integrity and having a rich inner world is fundamental.
