How To Graphite Pencil Transfer and Make a Stencil - Sketchbook to Artwork- WELZIE ART BOX TUTORIAL

Welzie teaches you two techniques on how to transfer your drawing or image to your art piece. Using the pencil graphite transfer technique or creating a stencil from scratch, this video show how to move your idea or image from one place to another.
Welzie’s artwork is shown throughout the Hawaiian Islands. He gained a grassroots following for his artwork when he started the popular Hawaii longboard brand Two Crows Surfboards. His unique approach to colors and the resin and fiberglass medium grabbed peoples attention.
Growing up Welzie was always making art inspired by his father who was a graphic designer. Going to UH Manoa Welzie studied art all while surfing and building boards and doing art on them for all the famous surfers on Oahu’s famous North Shore.
While making surfboards in his surfboard factory and spending less time in his studio painting acrylic on canvas, Welzie turned to fiberglass and resin as his medium to pursue his creative endeavorers.
Welzie’s work is collected and loved by people all over the world. His signature Art Gallery is at the Andaz Wailea on Maui where he is their Artist in Residence.

if you scan a b&w image and mirror it, print the image with a laser printer. You can iron the image onto most surfaces.

This can also be done if I buy some carbon paper (a.k.a. black transfer tracing paper) from Amazon's site. Same idea, but the carbon page is between the drawing and the surface you want the image to appear on.

Yep! But if you forgot to order from Amazon this is the old fashioned way 🤙🏼

Funny that I've always done it the opposite way. Graphite the image (line) and scribble the back, as opposed to the front. Who knew?

That way works great too. I think I end up doing it both ways. Whatever works best and easiest! 🤙🏼
