Hands down THE BEST practical and engaging tips I've come across so far. I'm doing my first show in 2 months so I'm deep down in the research rabbit hole 🤯 Thank you!
Girl u have touched info that no one else has mentioned, u have been so helpful! Thank u I’m new at this selling handcrafted items. And I want to do well even though I’m so scared to jump on into this . I’m making stuff now to be ready for spring. My items are boho
Your dog is adorable! Thanks for the video and great tips! Just one point though...your goal for sales should never be your booth/table fee. As crafters we undervalue ourselves so I know it's difficult to do, however, you always need to make some profit. You also need to earn for your time. Therefore if a show cost $80 then you need to sell maybe $100 to consider it a success. Also it can be ok to sit occasionally. It depends how long the craft show is. Sometimes standing can be an aggressive stance. But yes I think it's important to stand when a customer approaches. Thanks again for the video!
My first show was in a gym. I practiced my set up and layout the night before. Arrived at the show only to find that both booths on either side of my booth set up over their lines. I didn't say anything cuz I'm not that person but I was bummed that they did that. But your advice about Murpheys Law is the best one...be flexible lol
I love HOW you said STAND, and you don’t give a crap about if there is a chair there. 😂 It is SO true though! Sometimes I have been the ONLY person standing in the small fairs I’ve been in.
I love your energy. I love coffee too, so definitely keep your sense of humor. I am doing my first craft show at a school in two weeks nervous and excited.
Thanks for all the great tips! I liked that you got right into your video, just straight to the point! I am doing my first Craft Fair so your tips come in handy! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your practical advice. You've given me some good ideas there, especially on how to keep space in your allotted area to draw people in.
Barely seen your video! Very helpful!! I am doing my first art in the park in a couple of months. I'm very excited but also nervous lol it's just a hobby at this point, no business name or or anything. I am getting a tent and everything but I didn't know what to do as far as a banner..?
yay! Congrats that's amazing! I bought my banner from Staples, really affordable and was ready pretty fast. If you don't have a name yet, you can make a banner that announces what you sell or your pricing for your product. Example: Reverse Tie Dye Shirts Starting at $25 or 2 for $40
I’m doing my first craft show in April and I am HYPERVENTILATING! But really, your tips were different from the other ones I’ve read/watched..thank you!
This is super helpful! And, your personality is just like mine! I am doing my first vendor event in a week and I giggled because I definitely still have a lot to do and will probably also be running around frantic as I’m setting up. Great tips! I also subscribed.
Your tips are amazing and something I didn't hear from other craft show tip videos. Doing my first one next month and honestly hearing you talk made me feel more confident going into it. Thank you!
What would you say is a “high price item” I make glitter tumblers and want to sell some at my craft show I sell them for $25 and think that’s a very reasonable price for the material and time used. Do you think items like this well sell?
Abagail Joyce hi! I think $25 at craft shows is perfectly reasonable price! If you find people are passing it up you can try a few things... Prepare a discount sign with something like “1 for $25 or 2 for $40” or “craft show discount 10% off” Or prepare to adjust prices verbally.
Yesterday was my first craft show I invited alot of friends and nobody showed nobody bought nothing an my daughter in law set this up when we got there it wasn't what we were expecting we were in MUD it was at someones house right beside a junkyard everyone else was selling they just walk right by us as we were packing up my daughter in law sold one of her signs she kept apologizing I said it's okay
