It's not unusual that males to higher ranking females stays in the troop or even come and goes because who can tell them to leave more than the highest ranking females and often they don't care. The alpha male has no saying in this. One thing that can get the "boys" to leave are their hormones. When the females in their natal troop denies them in the mating season they often leave to find willing females. 🤓🏴☠️🇸🇪
I think some sons of high-ranking females can stay - like Haggy's son Nony regardless whether they've been fixed by the authority or not. An alpha male is only a figurehead and is disposable. The matriarch wields absolute power.

I had to giggle at the music in the first part of the video -- the Dreidel song sung at Hanukah, and played by a Klezmer group! Did anyone else catch this? I thought the Klezmer rendition was totally appropriate for this little hyperactive baby -- this music always makes you want to get up and dance!
It's so pleasant to be able to watch moms with their babies and they aren't being beaten, bitten and/or pushed away. There are so many other videos that do. The ingrates doing the filming don't show any videos of good mom/baby interactions so it's thought by way too many that the bad ones are the norm. It really annoys me! Too many duped viewers think being poached and sold into TH-cam stardom is better than being abused by it's mother. It also amazes me that many viewers are totally oblivious of what's really going on! Ahhhhhhhh . . . It IS so pleasant to watch Arroz Marisco's videos!
If you go back to the first year ( about 2016 summer ) when monkey videos began to appear from Cambodia, their videos of monkeys weren't very dissimilar from mine, but everything changed when they found out what gives them the most views. There are at least several hundreds, if not thousands of those channels out there by now, all featuring very similar story lines and they are all misrepresenting what monkeys are like. Monkey filming is an industry from several countries across South East Asia.
