Or did Nan & the Matriarchs do it the old fashioned way and just take her out behind the bushes, explain to Nora her dire predicament and then proceed to beat the living shyte out of her to give her a few clues on what she needed to stop doing to her babies?? I see why many mothers are very leery about letting their young daughters get too close to a new baby, though the girls just want to touch the babies they don’t quite know how to do it properly, ie:Bree grabbing her baby brother’s leg. Got mom’s attention real quick and Bree got the message!😂 They are enthusiastic, just not knowledgeable.☺️ Bless their inquisitive little hearts.💖

I read some scientific research report on the net (wish I could remember the site) about macaques that said breastmilk for male babies is richer in calories than that for female babies. I was shocked. The scientists didn't know why but said it might have something to do with the fact that usually males are forced to leave the troop after puberty, and they need to build up their body mass for competing with other males in getting accepted by a new troop. Maybe the richer milk explains why the males babies go into milk comas.
Another research done shows that female rhesus macaques that weigh more produce better milk with more energy. Also their status in the troop affects the quality of the milk.They found that the babies gets signals from the milk that associates with later variation in infant behavior and temperament. Sterilized ??? Where does that information come from ??? Trapping Monkey's is usually for Culling them, Culling is to killing them not sterilizing them. Government's don't spend tax dollars on sterilization for wild animals and sterilization on females is Major Surgery by a Certified, Licensed & Qualified Primate Veterinarian with association to an Veterinarian Hospital Clinic
@@maryfregain4648 Monkey Hill is in Hong Kong. It is not Cambodia. Two very different places. On Monkey Hill the monkeys are “protected”. There are no culls. The large cages trap the females for sterilization. Monkeys with a tattoo on their chests indicate they have been sterilized. This is done for population control. Also, the VO’s at Monkey Hill do not manipulate situations for views like you see from the Cambodians.

It's always the youngest female that reigns to the top. For instance.. if nora had a female baby, that female baby would then outrank any other female babies nora previously had. Not sure if that answered your question.
Actually she isn’t Nora’s mother, (I thought that once) she might be an older sister, as she is very close to Nora and doesn’t hesitate to keep her in line. It could be the same kind of setup if Bossy was gone right now, then Bubby would be the matriarch (Lord help us🤣) and more than likely being guided by an older sister. Hope that helps.☺️

Nan was present during those babies lives. She was telling Nora it was wrong in what she was doing like she does today with Nora. There is a study that shows that other troop members knows when a child is abused by its mother and they also interferes in different ways. 🤓🏴☠️🇸🇪

You can also see some with tattered ears and that's often because before they sterilisated the monkeys they used to do it with an injection of SpayVac but that only kept them from having babies a few years so they changed methods. Hong Kong is so much different from other places in Asia who also have monkeys. 🤓🏴☠️🇸🇪

The Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife Management performs the sterilisation programme in order that the monkeys keep to a certain population level within the reserve area. And yes, they do spend money on it. Hong Kong has the highest GDP per capita in the world and is a small place geographically speaking. They have no problem funding wildlife management in a manner other than culling.

The females in Nora's troop are very pretty. More so than any other troop in my opinion.

Erm…I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed this. I was embarrassed to say it but I thought ‘that poor kid is going to have some serious scrapes and sores on his business if that mudflap doesn’t stop getting dragged everywhere!’ Maybe it’s like Dopey and his giant feet - Nigel just needs to grow into it, so to speak. @@maryfregain4648 Monkey Hill is in Hong Kong. It is not Cambodia. Two very different places. On Monkey Hill the monkeys are “protected”. There are no culls. The large cages trap the females for sterilization. Monkeys with a tattoo on their chests indicate they have been sterilized. This is done for population control. Also, the VO’s at Monkey Hill do not manipulate situations for views like you see from the Cambodians.

Nan was present during those babies lives. She was telling Nora it was wrong in what she was doing like she does today with Nora. There is a study that shows that other troop members knows when a child is abused by its mother and they also interferes in different ways.

It's true about the sterilisation in Hong Kong. All sterilisated monkeys gets a tattoo on their chest and they stop having babies. You can also see some with tattered ears and that's often because before they sterilisated the monkeys they used to do it with an injection of SpayVac but that only kept them from having babies a few years so they changed methods. Hong Kong is so much different from other places in Asia who also have monkeys.

The Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife Management performs the sterilisation programme in order that the monkeys keep to a certain population level within the reserve area. And yes, they do spend money on it. Hong Kong has the highest GDP per capita in the world and is a small place geographically speaking. They have no problem funding wildlife management in a manner other than culling.
