I am aware that after 10 minutes the editing does not line up with the video, unfortunately I accidentally deleted part of my files with my video and so I cannot edit it further and fix it, I would have to start the video from scratch :( (Also I misspelled Banzai and mispronounced Naginata)
One of the few tutorials for Unification, and specifically on the faction I gravitated to first. Awesome vid! I believe the Daimyo also has a healing passive? He's really good, but cannot attach, so keep him close but behind your firing lines to keep everyone alive and cranking out the damage!
great guide, I saw in the game that Tekarn Warriors have a fairly high melee stat as for regular infantry, but before watching this video, I did not expect that they would be able to wipe out space marines squad in melee
Indeed, I was a bit surprised as well tbh. Further testing and they can lose to some SM, IF I know they lose, and I think FA, BA, Salamanders, WE, EC, and probably Death Guard? As they all have better stats. It's incredibly good to know however as it gives you an extra option to fight Tacticals when they would normally be out-gunning you.
@@ConnorBreadFromFarBeyondNow imagine a remake of Dawn of War, with increased maps, higher unite count and more up to date systems? Just imagine how much more Unification could expand. How much more interesting factions of "Your Dudes" as /tg puts it, could person create.
Yeah, that's been talked about and would be really great. Main issues though are that 1.) Relic seems to be done with DoW, and 2.) They're pretty mod un-friendly nowadays, which is why it's much more limited to mod DoW2 and 3 compared to 1. Is a pity though, as Unification 2.0 with modern systems or whatnot would be the best thing since sliced bread.
I wasn't sure on the answer, so I asked the creator and he said that it was more for RTS balance, and that Melee units should have an advantage in melee versus ranged units, but that it is canon that they are good in melee.
@@arv1n_kenn3x Personally, I've head cannoned that it's a combination of Tekarn Warriors being trained to melee foes much larger than themselves (not exactly anything smaller in melee than a guardsmen) and Space Marines being trained to fight bigger things (other Space Marines, Orks, Daemons ect.) and not expecting Guardsmen of all people to be capable melee fighters
They are unique to Uni, so the Creators wrote a lore doc for them: dawn-of-war-unification-mod.fandom.com/wiki/Tekarn_Shogunate:_The_Legacy_of_Tekarn Tl,dr They were an old loyalist regiment that GW mostly forgot about, and in Uni lore they fought the T'au in the Damocles crusade, but were abandoned by the Imperium to the T'au after the Imperium needed to divert forces to fight of the Tyranid attack on Ultramar. In order to fight the T'au, Tekarn fell to Chaos and now fight under the banner of Chaos Undivided.

Glad you enjoyed! Daimyo Fenix can get a healing passive, but only when you go for the Mark of Slaanesh.
@ConnorBreadFromFarBeyond Ah! Well, I was sorta wrong there, then. Even more reason for me to keep learning and playing!

Tekarn are revelation what Warhammer 40k can be - The ultimate kitchen sink of sci-fi media.
Samurai in Space supported by Hell? How crazy was that.
Yeah it's pretty sweet, and 40k was originally built around homebrewing after all

@@ConnorBreadFromFarBeyond i see the point. Thank you. 😁

What is the lore of the faction
