Following a week of scandal, a new Miss Florida USA has been crowned. Linette De Los Santos was the runner-up in the contest and is now the reigning queen, thanks to a makeup debacle. Original winner Genesis Davila had her face done up professionally, a violation of pageant rules. Contestants are supposed to do it themselves. Davila was busted after she posted a photo on Instagram showing a professional makeup artist working on her face. #InsideEdition

Ridiculous! That's what you get though for paying into beauty contests all your life. She should sue & prove that she can do her makeup the same as the makeup "artist." She didn't win because she had the perfect color of shadow or mascara. She won for so many other reasons.

for those who do not know this rule.. yes it exists.. it is to prepare the girl for the international competitions.. knowing how to do hair and make up is a huge advantage since the ratio of make up artist to contestants is not 1:1, maybe 1:5.. so some may end up waiting and wasting time.. so it’s better to be able to do it yourself..
But now they allow plastic surgeries, even let trans to compete so why not allowed professional make up?

The picture that was posted was after the pageant was over. There is no proof that the picture was taken during the pageant. Genesis is saying that it was actually taken the day it was posted- over a week after the pageant.
Actually she never denied having the makeup done by someone else. Go back and re-watch it. She claims only that she didn't break any rules, suggesting that getting your makeup done by someone else is fair. Not that she did it herself/without help.
She posted it 7 days prior to the pageant. Its on instagram, you cant backdate on Instagram.
