As a frequent viewer, I have no idea what to make of this channel. Don't get me wrong, Alfred is never boring to listen to. That six figures sitting in my bank account will probably never leave even though I want a boat so badly. Every time I see a new Alfred Montaner video, my confidence takes a torpedo to the face and I tell myself "Do I REALLY want to share the waters in South Padre Is. with so many fools?" I watch the whole episode, shut off TH-cam and dwell on it in my sleep. The next morning my confidence has evaporated and the thought of a boat is nowhere near my mind.

I was a volunteer in Arizona, Lake Havasu. I was assigned a boat ramp to conduct the orchestra. Six lanes, one drop off dock. Labor Day weekend. I helped load boats, unload boats, backed a few trailers down when people had not yet developed the skills. Taught when needed,, directed people off to the side to open their drain plugs. Approx 300 boats in, in the morning, and 300 out at sunset. And I must say,, I had fewer problems than I see on yours each time I have watched. Two biggies,, one boat fire that burned to the waterline,,, even that, when things cooled,, we loaded the remains in the middle ramp lane. Couple of jet skis out of fuel,, a couple of captains with happy throttle hands. Those I helped,, just asked them to shut it down,, easy enough to hand the boat onto the trailer. I don't think I want to play at your Miami boat ramp.

I own a 2022 FSH 210 sport and it is one of the easiest boats I’ve owned to dock. This is what happens when people don’t learn to operate their boat before going out in a “Chit show”. Expensive lesson to learn.
This dude deserves every single bit of this..all that money and not a clue what he’s doing…people like him are why waterways are so dangerous now. I live in the Midwest and this guy would have been towed in by water patrol and told to trailer his boat for being a danger to those around him. Unacceptable
I was recently at the RNC in Milwaukee. The Miami City Police were there providing security and a couple of their officers said they knew you and that you were a riot. Great officers you have there. Keep up the video's.
Bro as a watcher of the chit show since the early days, I can say that was one of the worst I’ve seen! Great job getting the shot and calming the guy down.
And coming from an owner of that Yamaha jet boats, those things are the easiest things to control at the dock because of the DRiVE technology. Can’t believe he stuffed it like that.
Those boats are tricky without the prop/lower working like a rudder… if you’re not making headway you really don’t have much control. But yeah awesome job at calming him down and mad props to the captain for the recovery
They actually aren't, if you know vectors, and how to use your dual throttles out of sync. I have way more control with my Yamaha than with any single engine boat I've driven.
@@jimulaszek5871 my 90ft barge was jet driven and I loved it. Yes I would agree with you but you’re obviously not your average boater, most boaters use their boats only a handful of times a year and it’s hard to get proficient.
Sorry, I had to click away after that AR220 crashed. I am starting to lose faith in the abilities of Floridians to drive their boats. Man you should start a school just to teach boat docking ! The only boat that really nailed it was the one that you were speaking with the guy on board, they were super smooth, everybody else looked like they just purchased a boat yesterday.
Ive seen a harder hit there but it was broadside and didnt leave a nice new hatch. It was also a bigger more solid boat. This caught that corner with his Yamaboat.
In current like that wouldn't it be easier to go past the dock turn around and then come up current into the docks? Seems like it anyway. Why are they all trying to reverse into the current?
Why people buy jetboats in south florida is beyond me?? There is no response in slow speed like with a prop in the water. Juetboats like jetskies only work on thrust, so there is no steering slow unless you get it moving. We don't live in a lake.
WHY do people with these fancy dual engine boats not take some lessons on how to use the engines? Not to mention that the hardtop supports are NOT cleats.
Is the dude in the Sea Fox the same guy that got into a fight at the ramp? He cut in front of someone and there was a yelling match. The Capt in the Fox went mental in the fight. Lol. You gotta remember that video!!
Aquasport has one motor with almost zero water coming out of the telltale and the other steaming like a teakettle. Those motors are not long for this world.
I watch yours and your competition - your competition does point out that jet boats are hard to steer as in the case of the "crash". The Yamaha boat just didn't have a chance- also as you mention in the videos if you watch the palm trees and the flag you ought to be able to determine the angle of the current. I just do not understand why people don't just drift into the dock if there is an opening. I can't understand why people do not use a boat hook- what is wrong with picking up a boat hook and pulling into the dock plus why do people use the anchor line for a spring line?
I canwarmly recommend Slussen locks in Stockholm by midsummer when all people want to move in beetween laka Mälaren and the slight saltier waters of the stunning archipelegago with the light 24/7 and loads of no boatpeople in boats.
