Our small and only store in tiny community has really high prices. Last week I decided to not buy some condensed milk because it was priced at nearly $6.00 for one of those small cans of the generic no name brand. I have done research for a few days now and the assorted techniques. Your method is completely different than any other I have seen and appreciate this option with the powdered milk and the stand mixer. Every other one only stirs the pot by hand on the stove and does not use any water, but whole milk or some cream. Yours is a little runny but can see how it would be great in coffee. Aaaagh. I guess I am just going to have to suffer through tasting different versions until I find the best way for me. Language differences: Mixing rather than blending process in the KitchenAid. Blender = tall container with only a blade at the bottom, Mixer = has a bowl with paddles and stirring attachments to mix rather than puree.
Been wanting 2 learn how 2 make my own ...this is great!
